Vera Farmiga In Calvin Klein – ‘Bates Motel’ Party

Vera Farmiga In Calvin Klein - 'Bates Motel' Party

Vera Farmiga attended A&E’s ‘Bates Motel’ Party during Comic-Con 2013 held at Gang Kitchen on Saturday in San Diego, California.

The actress wore a Calvin Klein Spring 2013 black satin below-the-knee strapless frock with a gold frame outlining the sweetheart neckline and with a thicker sheer panel than the same dress presented on the runway.

Vera accessorized her look with Jimmy Choo ‘Lumina’ cream pumps enlivened with metallic-gold trims and a gold toe-cap, a Bottega Veneta black-and-cream clutch, plus a stack of arm candy, with a simple updo and a rouge lip colour providing the finishing touches.

It’s black again, but I find myself enamoured of the sophistication of this look.

Does it have a little too much polish for Comic-Con?

Vera Farmiga In Viktor & Rolf – ‘The Conjuring’ LA Premiere

Vera Farmiga In Viktor & Rolf - 'The Conjuring' LA Premiere

Vera Farmiga attended the LA premiere for ‘The Conjuring’ held at ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

This is our second Viktor & Rolf look from last night, following Kristen Wiig; however, Vera’s less summery look was from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Vera has worn a lot of black lately so I am not particularly surprised by her choice to wear this black sleeveless v-neck gown with a printed jacquard skirt – in fact, I am quite taken by the drama of the exquisite piece and how perfectly in tune it is for a horror movie premiere.

My issue is the hair as I wish it was more lovingly coiffed. Her makeup, on the other hand, is flawless, with soft smoky eyes and nude lips completing her look.

Vera Farmiga In Valentino – ‘Bates Motel: Reimagining A Cinema Icon’ The Paley Center for Media Presentation

Vera Farmiga In Valentino - ‘Bates Motel Reimagining A Cinema Icon’ The Paley Center for Media Presentation

Vera Farmiga joined Nicola Peltz in attending The Paley Center for Media presents ‘Bates Motel: Reimagining A Cinema Icon’ at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California on Friday evening.

The actress wore a Valentino Resort 2013 look, which featured a long-sleeved black lace shirt with white contrasting collar & cuffs, which she paired with a black pencil skirt.

Vera added a black patent belt, a black clutch and nude pumps to her look, keeping the makeup simple with side-swept bangs and a neat bun completing her look.

I have a feeling that the overall look ages Vera somewhat. I really want to love the look, but something is preventing me. It might be the pumps or that belt.

Vera Farmiga In Naeem Khan – 8th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Vera Farmiga made up a trio of winter whites to hit the red carpet last night.

The actress, who we haven’t seen on the red carpet in a while, wore a beautiful Naeem Khan Spring 2012 dress to the 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City.

Her dress has a beautiful embroidered top with gold appliqués and is cinched at the waist with a beaded waistband. Her tiered ruffled asymmetrical skirt provided a spirited flamenco flourish.

However, her hairstyle is so aging.

This is such a shame because I love the look which she accessorized with a beaded ivory clutch, amethyst stone earrings and matching necklace, which is very similar to the necklace beloved by Anna Wintour.

Sidewalk Style: Vera Farmiga In Bottega Veneta

Vera Farmiga was spotted heading back to her hotel in New York City yesterday after a day of promoting her new movie, “Higher Ground.”

She wore a Bottega Veneta lace abstract dress and printed cardigan from the Fall 2011 collection with gold strappy sandals.

The yellow crepe dress has an espresso sheer lace-paneled overlay and a frayed neckline. Her cardigan also has the same abstract print.

Vera opted out of wearing the orange obi belt replacing it with a much simpler black ribbon tied to the waist.

I loved the extra kick the orange belt gave to this look.

I don’t dislike the look, but I believe it could’ve been so much better as the shoes seem overly fussy.
