Vera Farmiga In Stella McCartney – 2014 Tony Awards

Vera Farmiga In Stella McCartney - 2014 Tony Awards

Vera Farmiga attended the 68th Annual Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday (June 8) in New York City.

The actress wore a Stella McCartney body-skimming design that is given added allure with sheer-panel detailing at the shoulders and waist, giving the look a waist-narrowing effect.

Her elegant gown was styled with a black clutch and Fred Leighton jewels, including old-mine diamond star earrings and a 19th century diamond and gemstone bangle bracelet.

A pretty coral lip and side-swept wavy tresses completed her look.

Vera Farmiga In Prada – ‘Bates Motels’ Season 2 Premiere

Vera Farmiga In Prada - 'Bates Motels' Season 2 PremiereVera Farmiga returned to the red carpet for the premiere party of A&E’s Season 2 of ‘Bates Motel’ and the series premiere of ‘Those Who Kill,’ held at Warwick in Hollywood, California on Wednesday (February 26).

Reflecting the drama of the show, the actress wore a pretty red Prada silk chiffon pleated dress, enriched with sparkling crystal embroidery at the bodice and waist.

She styled the look quite well with an Emm Kuo metallic snakeskin, raw blacklip shell and mother-of-pearl ‘Kaiss’ minaudiére clutch with gold metal accents. Thankfully, gold and black fishnet pumps took the place of a standard black pair.

An edgy, sharply angled bob and a light rouge lip rounded out this entrance that didn’t require much in the way of jewelry, given the frock’s embellishment and the gloss of the handbag.

Prada looks tend to be hit or miss on the red carpet. How does this one rank?

Vera Farmiga In Theyskens’ Theory – 2013 Emmy Awards

Vera Farmiga In Theyskens' Theory - 2013 Emmy Awards

Vera Farmiga was one of the few who wore black at the 2013 Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Sunday.

The actress donned a custom Theyskens’ Theory gown that had plenty of drama and volume – dare I say too much volume.

I was fascinated by the detailing, which included a leather-and-metal belt, leather panels, and a sexy open back that she styled with Fred Leighton jewels and a metallic box clutch. Under that skirt, she wore Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina Strass’ black satin pumps.

Yet more volume via her bouffant and a matte pink lip colour completed her look.

Is there too much going on or does she make it work?

Vera Farmiga In Calvin Klein – ‘Bates Motel’ Party

Vera Farmiga In Calvin Klein - 'Bates Motel' Party

Vera Farmiga attended A&E’s ‘Bates Motel’ Party during Comic-Con 2013 held at Gang Kitchen on Saturday in San Diego, California.

The actress wore a Calvin Klein Spring 2013 black satin below-the-knee strapless frock with a gold frame outlining the sweetheart neckline and with a thicker sheer panel than the same dress presented on the runway.

Vera accessorized her look with Jimmy Choo ‘Lumina’ cream pumps enlivened with metallic-gold trims and a gold toe-cap, a Bottega Veneta black-and-cream clutch, plus a stack of arm candy, with a simple updo and a rouge lip colour providing the finishing touches.

It’s black again, but I find myself enamoured of the sophistication of this look.

Does it have a little too much polish for Comic-Con?

Vera Farmiga In Viktor & Rolf – ‘The Conjuring’ LA Premiere

Vera Farmiga In Viktor & Rolf - 'The Conjuring' LA Premiere

Vera Farmiga attended the LA premiere for ‘The Conjuring’ held at ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

This is our second Viktor & Rolf look from last night, following Kristen Wiig; however, Vera’s less summery look was from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Vera has worn a lot of black lately so I am not particularly surprised by her choice to wear this black sleeveless v-neck gown with a printed jacquard skirt – in fact, I am quite taken by the drama of the exquisite piece and how perfectly in tune it is for a horror movie premiere.

My issue is the hair as I wish it was more lovingly coiffed. Her makeup, on the other hand, is flawless, with soft smoky eyes and nude lips completing her look.
