2015 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

An additional chic set of lovelies were among the constellation of style stars at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, hosted at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on Monday (June 1) in New York City.

Katie Holmes: I really wanted to love the actress’s one-of-a-kind Ralph Lauren Collection deep-green silk charmeuse evening dress accented with Ralph Lauren vintage jewels. Shame about the wrinkles in the dress and the long, barely-styled hair that hid the beautiful earrings.

Abigail Spencer: It was delightful to see such a bright, patterned Novis dress, where the bold colour continued with royal purple Malone Souliers Dawn Mules heels and a magenta lip. The end result was captivatingly fresh and charming, even if it appeared slightly less formal than some of the other entrances.

Gigi Hadid: This Michael Kors Resort 2016 glittery jumpsuit had a distinct Studio 54 vibe, but the model wore it so well, creating a chicly modern appeal with Michael Kors ‘Jacqueline’ sandals, a metallic Michael Kors clutch, and Atelier Swarovski jewels.

Vanessa Hudgens In AQ/AQ & ASOS – 2015 Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards

Vanessa Hudgens In AQAQ & ASOS - 2015 Broadway

Vanessa Hudgens attended Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards at Lounge 48 on Tuesday (May 19) in New York City.

The actress’ look had so much potential.

Sadly, both the ASOS blazer and AQ/AQ deep-plunge jumpsuit were too big for her, plus she didn’t do herself any favours by adding that Chloe ‘Faye’ cross-body bag into the mix.

Opting for a sleek, minimal look plus a good tailor would’ve set her off on the right path.

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Vanessa Hudgens In Alice + Olivia – ‘Fun Home’ Broadway Opening Night

Vanessa Hudgens In Alice + Olivia - 'Fun Home' Broadway Opening Night

Vanessa Hudgens attended the Broadway opening night performance of ‘Fun Home’ at Circle in the Square Theatre, on Sunday (April 19) in New York City.

The actress opted for Alice + Olivia again, this time selecting a beautiful botanical print crop top and ball skirt from the Spring 2015 collection, which is a true celebration of the current season.

As much as I love a twist, I couldn’t get on board with the leather jacket; it feels so cumbersome with her two-piece look. Perhaps if had it also been cropped it would’ve worked better.

Vanessa Hudgens In Alice + Olivia – ‘Gigi’ Broadway Opening Night After Party

Vanessa Hudgens In Alice + Olivia - 'Gigi' Broadway Opening Night After Party

Vanessa Hudgens, best known for her teen queen hits like the ‘High School Musical’ franchise and ‘Spring Breakers’, made her official Broadway debut as the coquettish lead in ‘Gigi’ on Wednesday (April 8) in New York City.

At the opening night party hosted at Tavern On The Green, the actress wore an Alice + Olivia Fall 2015 strapless dress, in a romantic silhouette with a moody print.

While this might be too sombre for some, I love how decorative and striking it is, with the print and jewel-toned rings weeding out the potential for a boring look.

The styling with the dark berry lip, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and smouldering eyes enhances the dramatic nature of the look to perfection.
