America’s Got Talent Season 12

It’s that time of year again when stylist take a well earned break ahead of the Emmys next month, which kicks starts the lead up to awards season 2018.

For me that can be the ONLY explanation for these three horrors which took to the red carpet last night for a taping of ‘America’s Got Talent’ on Tuesday (August 15).

Heidi Klum: The 80s called, they want their animal print suit back. This look hails from her Esmara by Heidi Klum collection in collaboration with German grocery chain Lidl. I can’t wait to see the rest.

Tyra Banks: Words fail me. It’s almost cartoonish in every possibly way. Starting from the spider lashes to the Stello dress of many colours. The only thing I’m lusting over is her yellow pumps.

Melanie Brown: A bedazzled sheer Rocky Gathercole catsuit for the taping of a TV show where you’ll be seated most of the time? It just doesn’t make sense.

How can three beautiful, successful women with their means, dress so dreadfully on a consistent bases?

Tyra Banks In House of CB – Late Night with Seth Meyers

Tyra Banks made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ to talk about using her ‘America’s Next Top Model’ skills while hosting ‘America’s Got Talent’ on Thursday (July 27).

The model host wore an eye popping cage dress from the British brand, House of CB.

It takes not only a great body, but a lot of confidence to wear a dress such as this. Luckily for Tyra she possesses both.

Opting for a flesh coloured bra helps her – somewhat – make this work, but I don’t understand the addition of the necklace, especially when this piece is accented with studded details.

Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completed her look.

The Paley Center For Media’s Tribute To African-American Achievements In Television

The Paley Center For Media's Tribute To African-American Achievements In Television

The Paley Center For Media’s Tribute To African-American Achievements In Television was held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (October 26) in Beverly Hills, California.

Yaya DaCosta: The actress/model was a vision in yellow, but sadly my smile was turned upside down upon sight of the illusion panel on her Maria Lucia Hohan gown.

Brandy Norwood: The singer/actress wore an Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2015 dress which I love for the floral print and embroidered details and the obi-style belt. The look was styled with pointy blue Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and a Swarovski ‘Kiosque’ clutch.

Tyra Banks: She can smize, but she can’t dress to save her life. Unflattering and dated as per.

Tyra Banks In Alon Livné – America’s Next Top Model Cycle 21 Premiere Party

Tyra Banks In Alon Livné - America's Next Top Model Cycle 21 Premiere Party

Tyra Banks attended the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Cycle 21 premiere party held at the SupperClub Los Angeles on Wednesday (August 20) in Los Angeles, California.

I love Tyra, I really do, but this look pained me. Almost left me for dead.

She wore an Alon Livne bodysuit featuring a 3D swirl that leaps off the garment and a sheer illusion panel, paired with black loose-fit trousers.

Where do I start? The top.

Even with all its sculptural brilliance, the top is a disaster.

This is due to her bra being visible via the sheer panel. I don’t think even a flesh-coloured bra would’ve improved this. And what’s even more perplexing is that this was a custom made design.

Then we have the pants. So very unflattering. Painfully so. Too long in the crotch and too long in the overall length.

There is nothing I would save from this look.

Tyra Banks In Peter Pilotto – ANTM

Tyra Banks In Peter Pilotto - ANTM2

Tyra Banks loves bodycon dresses as much as I love jumpsuits, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this picture of her pop up on Twitter today.

Looking like a living doll, the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ judge wore a Peter Pilotto hyper-vivid print dress which makes for a refreshing change.

Her frock, which hails from the Resort 2012 collection, features a strong pattern which has been placed to maximize the fit-and-flare silhouette.

Without a hair out of place, she worked a half-up, half-down retro ‘do to complement the aesthetic.
