Tracee Ellis Ross In Narciso Rodriguez – 2018 NAACP Image Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross is someone who surprises on the red carpet. At the 2018 NAACP Image Awards on Monday (January 15) in Pasadena, California, she opted for a minimalist approach.

I will concede that the rose gold shimmering fabric on her Narciso Rodriguez Pre-Fall 2018 dress is not the first thing people think of when they hear minimal, but there is a simplicity to the slip-like style.

Her Tyler Ellis clutch, Christian Louboutin ‘Follies Resille’ mesh pumps, fresh makeup and sleek braid were in keeping with the pared-back look.

I can see some comparing her to Gal Gadot here.

To pose with her Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series award for ‘Black-ish,’ she changed gears, donning a tawny furry jacket which gave the frock a ’70s vibe.

Tracee Ellie Ross In Valentino – Marie Claire’s 3rd Annual Image Makers Awards

Karla Welch – whose clients include Elisabeth Moss, Michelle Monaghan, Tracee Ellie Ross and Karlie Kloss – was named Choice Stylist at Marie Claire’s 3rd Annual Image Makers Awards on Thursday (January 11) in West Hollywood, California, where she attended the event with Tracee.

Perhaps inspired by the athleisure boom or the annual glut of New Year’s resolutions to hit the gym, I love how they both deliberately turned up wearing matching Valentino Resort 2018 tracksuits.

Opting to leave their gym bags at home, Tracee paid further homage to her stylist by carrying a ‘Karla’ emblazoned Edie Parker clutch.

What fun way to celebrate a remarkable accolade.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Proenza Schouler & Rosetta Getty – W Magazine “It Girl” Luncheon & TCA Winter Press Tour

Tracee Ellis Ross continues to delight and surprise on the red carpet. First, she participated in the W Magazine “It Girl” luncheon on Saturday (January 6) in Los Angeles. On Monday (January 8), she stepped out to celebrate the TCA Winter Press Tour 2018.

W Magazine “It Girl” Luncheon: The ‘Black-ish’ star certainly embodied the spirit of an It Girl with her Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 look. The soft coral ruffles of the knitted separates were toughened up by the black bra top. It was a bold statement, but her decorative black sandals brought everything together.

TCA Winter Press Tour: The actress showcased separates again, but she went for a more puritan approach with her Rosetta Getty Pre-Fall 2018 look. She enlivened the black and white number with golden yellow shoes and bold drop earrings. Never forgetting about beauty, she opted for a sleek updo to showcase her accessories.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Marc Jacobs – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

I am always excited to see what fashion adventure Tracee Ellis Ross will lead us on, and she didn’t disappoint at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

She may be a fan of bold hues, but she didn’t let the all-black theme cramp her style tonight.

Her Marc Jacobs Spring 2018 black jersey halter dress was just as spirited as the star herself with its structured bow at the neckline.

That it was styled over black jogger pants and with a satin turban, also from the Spring 2018 collection, only contributed to that quirky Tracee edge that we know and love.

A red lip and pearl Irene Neuwirth earrings provided another layer of elegantly dramatic attitude to finish the look.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Balmain – W Magazine Celebrates Its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio

Tracee Ellis Ross was back on the red carpet for W Magazine’s Celebration of its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio and the Golden Globes on Thursday (January 4) in LA.

We all know that Tracee loves to pay homage to the disco-era and that she’s like a magpie when it comes to pieces that shimmer, so I wasn’t surprised to see her wearing this Balmain Pre-Fall 2018 tuxedo-style jumpsuit.

I love how the strong shoulders and straight legs reference a traditional masculine suit, while a plunging neckline lends a feminine slant.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Prabal Gurung – 2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross made a bold statement in red at Glamour’s 2017 Women of The Year Awards on Monday (November 13) in Brooklyn, New York, joining Halle Bailey and Chloe Bailey and Nicole Kidman.

The ‘Black-ish’ star was clad in a Prabal Gurung Spring 2018 ensemble. I can see some wanting to compare it to the red dancer emoji, but, to me, the cut of the dress had a cooler fashion-forward edge thanks to the reflective fabric and its silhouette.

I love how the look had fantastic movement with the softness of the draped sleeves continuing down to the asymmetrical ruffles.

The ab cut-outs and draping of the skirt showed off some skin, while providing a wonderful contrast to the ruffles.

Red Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps lent a cohesive finish while drop earrings played off the frock’s shine.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The red carpet was alight with stylish stars at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards on Thursday (November 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Kristen Bell: It may be autumn, but the actress kept the spring spirit alive in a Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 dress. The yellow and blue blooms had an ebullient mood which was enhanced with Jennifer Meyer jewels and white heels.

Andrew Garfield: Cutting a dapper figure, the ‘Breathe’ actor broke away from coordinates, pairing a brown and navy check jacket with slim navy trousers. A dark blue sweater completed the ensemble, presenting a modern alternative to a suit and tie.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Black-ish’ actress’s love of fashion is apparent in many of her outfits, including this vintage Pierre Balmain dress from Shrimpton Couture. She committed to the glamorous retro theme with red Christian Louboutin pumps and a Les Petits Joueurs bag.
