Tracee Ellis Ross In Chanel Couture – 2017 Emmy Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross sparkled her way down the red carpet of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Blackish’ star wore a stunning Chanel Spring 2017 Couture gown with Irene Neuwirth jewels.

This is a total show-stopper in my book. The unexpected cut, the on-trend balloon sleeves and those feathers! Tracee always approaches fashion with such mirth and class, and this is just one more example.

I know it’s early to say, but this one may be my favorite of the night! Are you as crazy for it as I am?

2017 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party

In advance of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Entertainment Weekly hosted its Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Sophia Bush: This red Stella McCartney body-skimming dress with car wash slits held potential, but I wish the styling had been more complementary. A tonal red sandal like the Edie Parker clutch would have provided a more streamlined effect but I would have stopped the red at the makeup—red eye shadow is always a tough look to pull off.

Padma Lakshmi: The ‘Top Chef’ host also went bold with the eye shadow, hers an intense shade of violet. However, her sultry Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2018 floral-embroidered dress commanded enough attention on its own. I love that she didn’t resort to black pumps, but I’m wishing for a sandal here.

Mandy Moore
: With a shiny new play on an LBD, the ‘This Is Us’ actress donned a Sally LaPointe Pre-Fall 2017 sequin dress styled with Sophia Webster shoes and a red Jimmy Choo clutch. The style-forward edge of the turtleneck sweater piece grew on me, although at first, I did want to remove it.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Ronald van der Kemp – E!, ELLE & IMG Host NYFW Kickoff Party

‘Personal style’ is one thing that has never eluded Tracee Ellis Ross, and she showed off another of her eclectic ensembles at the NYFW Kickoff Party, A Celebration of Personal Style, on Wednesday (September 6) in New York City.

Joining Kate Bosworth for the party, Tracee brought a full bouquet of blooms in tow with this Ronald van der Kemp Fall 2017 Couture gown.

Channeling something of an ’80s punk-pretty aesthetic, the dress was business on the right—but party on the left—what with its full slit that revealed those leather legging boots.

We had this on our Red Carpet Wish List for Michelle Monaghan, but I have to give it to Tracee, though, she fully owns this eccentric look, and it’s always great to see her having fun with fashion.

Tracee Ellie Ross In Chanel – Television Academy’s Performers Peer Group Celebration

Tracee Ellis Ross attended the Television Academy’s Performers Peer Group Celebration on Monday (August 21) in Beverly Hills, California.

I love the rich embroidery of her black and gold wool knit coat and trouser combo from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection, which she styled with a cropped Hanes x karla tee for a fresh, summery, less stuffy twist.

Within this look I feel Tracee’s personal style shines in a way that felt authentic and effortless. It was just another example of how the ‘Black-ish’ star’s sartorial prowess continues to grow.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Chanel and Vetements – 5th Annual Beautycon Festival

Tracee Ellis Ross attended the 5th Annual Beautycon Festival on Saturday (August 12) in LA.

The actress combined a classic cream Chanel jacket with cropped blue denim jeans by the contemporary brand Vetements.

I really love the mash up of styles. She gets full marks for originality and for owning her look.

Her gold accessories which include a cheeky Chanel ‘Tweed We Need’ Spring 2015 clutch plus her classic two-tone pumps and bright fuchsia lip bring so much to the look.

2017 Summer TCA Tour Disney ABC Television Group

The Disney ABC Television Group TCA Summer Tour was held on Sunday (August 6) in Beverly Hills, California with a number of stars in attendance.

Tracee Ellis Ross: We all know how quirky Tracee’s style can be, so I would say her Celine Resort 2018 ensemble was quite tame by her standards. But, here, that translated to lacklustre. But, more than that, the proportions between the gathered tunic top and the long skirt simply weren’t all that flattering.

Chloe East: With a sense of girly romance, this Nicholas spot lace ball dress was a lovely look for the young starlet. While I loved the edgy-sexy sass of her studded, gold-tinged Charlotte Olympia shoes heels, they didn’t exactly fit right in with the sweeter frock.

Lea Michele: Perhaps if she had worn a sleeker bun, this Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2018 floral-accented dress would have taken on a fresher perspective. As presented, it seems a bit oddly dated.
