Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute To Steve Martin

Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute To Steve Martin

The American Film Institute’s 43rd Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute To Steve Martin took place at the Dolby Theatre on Thursday (June 4) in Hollywood, California.

Tina Fey: I love how her sensual lace J. Mendel dress upholds notions of ultimate femininity with its figure-hugging, flattering silhouette.

Jenna Elfman: This Teatum Jones colour-block dress with it geometric patterned embellishments and raw frayed edges was perhaps my favourite look at this event, especially when styled with yellow pumps. However, I wish the dress had been more nipped in at the waist so it didn’t appear to be so boxy.

SNL 40th Anniversary Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

SNL 40th Anniversary Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

Here’s a quick roundup from the SNL 40th Anniversary Celebration at Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday (February 15) in New York City.

Amy Poehler: The actress wore a BCBG Max Azria Spring 2015 white tent-style dress styled with a black oversized blazer for a truly uninteresting look.

Sarah Silverman: The funny gal showcased her figure in a Pre-Fall 2014 Zac Posen creation.

Olivia Wilde: Working a suiting look from H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection that always serves her so well, I loved the caped blazer she opted for along with the Jennifer Fisher jewels, which added an edge to her look.

Tina Fey In Antonio Berardi – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Tina Fey In Antonio Berardi - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Tina Fey took to the red carpet ahead of her presenting duties at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress wore an Antonio Berardi custom made strapless white and black gown featuring a tulip shaped skirt and decorative embellishments.

I’ve loved the progress Tina has made on the red carpet in recent years, but tonight, sadly, I see nothing but regression.

I can’t draw any positives other than her hair and makeup.

Elle’s 21st Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration

Elle's 21st Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration

Elle hosted their 21st annual Women in Hollywood celebration held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (October 20) in Beverly Hills, California in association with Calvin Klein, so of course many of the attendees were decked out in the brand’s latest designs.

Kerry Washington: Working a Resort 2015 look which was edgier than we’ve come to expect from the ‘Scandal’ star, she pulled it off with ease. The fold-over neckline sits a lot higher than it does on the runway but this works in her favour, enhancing the matching blue eye makeup. I love the sexy Christian Louboutin ‘Miss Rigidaine’ pumps, but the black and white Thale Blanc clutch feels terribly out of place.

Ashley Madekwe: The actress can pull off just about anything and here she works a Resort 2015 LBD which is inherently minimalist, with the gold-metallic bib, David Yurman jewels and strappy sandals giving the look an edge.

Lizzy Caplan: Serving up a third Resort 2015 look, Lizzy opted for a sportier look, donning a colour-block look styled with grey accessories. The shoes can stay, but that clutch has gotta go. No clutch at all or something considerably smaller would’ve worked for me.

Tina Fey In Osman – ‘This Is Where I Leave You’ LA Premiere

Tina Fey In Osman - 'This Is Where I Leave You' LA Premiere

Tina Fey attended the ‘This Is Where I Leave You’ LA premiere held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday (September 15) in Hollywood, California.

The actress usually conforms to a simple silhouette and muted tones style, so imagine my surprise to see her wearing this Osman Spring 2014 colourful strapless orange and blue bonsai-print tea-length dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

This step outside her comfort zone was a very successful one. The colour is electrifying, the style refreshing and the styling – which included blue Louboutins plus blue and orange stone jewels – complements the look without upstaging or overwhelming.

You may have tagged this dress for Hailee Steinfeld or Shailene Woodley, but I think Tina carries off the look with great aplomb.

Do you agree?
