Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann – ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ New York Screening

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann Fall 2014 - 'Only Lovers Left Alive' New York Screening

Tilda Swinton attended the ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ screening hosted by The Cinema Society and Stefano Tonchi, Editor in Chief of W Magazine, held at Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema on Wednesday (March 12) in New York City.

Following her mixed-reviewed Valentino Couture look, the Scottish actress went in the opposite – and most-favoured – direction, wearing an uber-sleek menswear look by Haider Ackermann.

The look typically featured a long overcoat with matching pants, styled with a brown blouse.

While this might feel like groundhog day to some, for me, as always, she rocks this signature look so well I will never tire of it.

Tilda Swinton continued her promotional efforts for her movie ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ by attending the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences screening of the film held at Bing Theater at LACMA on Monday (March 10) in Los Angeles, California.

Sporting a new haircut, the Scottish actress wore Valentino Couture once again, selecting a cream fringed top and wrap skirt from the Spring 2014 Couture collection.

Her typically oversized look, with a wood-like finish, was simply styled with the same Valentino ostrich pumps we saw on the runway, and a glossy lip colour.

I know some of you are not fond of Tilda’s red carpet style, so how does this look fare?

You may remember that Cate Blanchett wore a gown in the same fabric to the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards Ceremony last month.

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann – ‘Snowpiercer’ Berlin Film Festival Screening

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann - 'Snowpiercer' Berlin Film Festival Screening

Following ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlin Film Festival premiere, Tilda Swinton attended a screening of her other movie, ‘Snowpiercer’ on Friday (February 7).

The actress donned a look from her favorite designer, Haider Ackermann, selecting pieces from both his Fall 2014 menswear collection and his Spring 2014 womenswear collection.

Her black-and-ivory printed and oversized menswear coat was styled with a black top and black trousers, featuring a berry-hue stripe that matched her lip colour.

While some of you may not get and/or appreciate Tilda’s red carpet looks, I love that when it comes to her androgynous style she is being very true to herself.

Menswear and womenswear are living in perfect harmony here. What’s not to love?

Tilda Swinton In Schiaparelli Couture – ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Tilda Swinton In Schiaparelli Couture - 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Berlinale Film Festival PremiereThere was no missing Tilda Swinton at ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ premiere on Wednesday (February 6) during the 64th Berlinale Film Festival at the Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.

After dialing down her look for the film’s photo call, the British star came out with fashion guns blazing in a Schiaparelli Spring 2014 Couture ensemble.

Slouchy yet still sharply tailored, the black suiting separates, white blouse and ruffles became nearly regal on Tilda’s statuesque frame, giving us sophistication and a slight daring edge—especially with that massive, door-knocker cocktail ring on her finger.

Naturally more mannish in appeal, as we are accustomed to seeing on Tilda, the entire look was really stripped straight from the runway, retaining even the quirky, feathered sandals and the hair and makeup styling.

While she didn’t take her blonde locks to the model’s colourful range of hues, she did have a similar slightly wild, barrel-curl ’do. And that bright red lip lacquer was fully intact, too.

Yay or nay?

Tilda Swinton In Valentino Couture – ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Photocall

Tilda Swinton In Valentino Fall 2013 Couture - 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Berlinale Film Festival PhotocallTilda Swinton stood alongside actor Edward Norton and director Wes Anderson, attending ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival photocall, held on Thursday (February 6) during the 64th Berlinale International Film Festival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

The British actress plucked a brown herringbone overcoat from the Valentino Fall 2013 Couture collection for her appearance.

The coat was dressed down even more from its runway styling, transforming it into the epitome of straightforward day-wear when layered over a black sheath dress and paired with black pumps.

Her ensemble did rather ironically coordinate perfectly with Edward’s all-black look and Wes’s own tweed suit.

Barely the shred of makeup could be seen on Tilda’s complexion, making me wish for at least some pop of colour to add a bit of pizzazz to this more sombre presentation.

Are you craving some oomph, as well?

Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

The Chanel Spring 2014 Couture show took place during Paris Fashion Week today in France. The front row attendees were treated to a show which looked like the designer had sought inspiration from his Spring 2009 Couture collection.

Tilda Swinton: The only person who really caught my eye in the front row was Tilda. The face of Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection opted for a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 look, wearing a cashmere star-print sweater with a colourful fringed knit skirt, styled with an American flag scarf, knit tights and two-tone Chanel pumps. Coming from Scotland, she knows a thing or two about dressing for the current season.

Lily Allen: The Brit singer was also perched in the front row, opting for simple staples, jazzing up her look with a red-white-and-blue tweed coat, a colourful headpiece and a Chanel quilted shoulder bag. Adding yet more colour to her look, she opted for smoked blue eye makeup. Between Lupita Nyong’o, Keira Knightley and now Lily, I’m thinking I need to step up my eye-makeup game this season.

Olga Kurylenko: The actress went from temptress at Dior to quite pedestrian at Chanel. If it weren’t for the glossy red lips and those studded cuffs, I wouldn’t have even noticed this look.
