Tika Sumpter In Alice + Olivia – 16th Annual ACE Awards

Tika Sumpter joined Julianne Moore on the red carpet for the 16th Annual ACE Awards, held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City last night.

The ‘Sparkle’ star wore a grand Alice + Olivia Fall 2012 ball-gown.

Her sleeveless black-and-white gown with a graphic faux foil-print ensured she was the belle-of-the-ball.

Tika styled her look with a white clutch, a retro-inspired ponytail, kohl-rimmed eyes and a bold red lip colour.

The only thing missing to perfect this look was the black patent waist cinching leather belt as worn by the model on in the look book picture.

Tika Sumpter In Marc Bouwer – ‘Sparkle’ LA Premiere

Tika Sumpter returned to the red carpet on Thursday evening for the LA premiere of her latest film ‘Sparkle.’

We are kicking ourselves that we missed this last week.

The former ‘Gossip Girl’ actually completely blew me away wearing a stunning red Marc Bouwer Fall 2012 gown.

Pairing a plunging neckline with a thigh-high slit is dangerous territory, but Tika makes it look effortless and not overtly revealing.

I’m in love with the gown’s strong shoulders and gorgeous ruching along the waist.

A sleek ponytail and minimal jewelry complete the look.

A red-carpet star is born.

Tika Sumpter In Bill Blass – ‘Sparkle’ New York Screening

Tika Sumpter joined co-star Jordin Sparks on the red carpet at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City last night, for the screening of their movie, ‘Sparkles’.

The former ‘Gossip Girl’ actress wore a Bill Blass Fall 2012 gown.

You have to be pretty confident and have an amazing figure to pull of this gold metal knit semi-sheer gown; luckily Tika has that in spades.

I have never been a fan of exposed underwear, but I have to give Tika credit for presenting this look with much elegance plus I have to question if the look would dazzle so much had it been fully-lined.

Super straight locks, glossy lips and natural nails completed her red carpet look.
