Thandie Newton In Monique Lhuillier – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Thandie Newton In Monique Lhuillier - ‘Mad Max Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Thandie Newton attended the premiere of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 7) in Hollywood, California.

The British actress wore a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2015 dress with a slate grey liquid satin draped bodice and ombre layered tulle tea-length skirt.

While I kinda like the dress, it feels so wrong for Thandie. This is an action movie premiere, not an 80s themed prom.

I prefer Thandie in sleek designs over this frou frou over-the-topness. Plus the style is a bit grand for someone who doesn’t appear in the movie.

The make matters worse the clutch looks a bit cheap.

2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Party

Here is an quick roundup from the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which took place on Sunday (February 22).

Jane Fonda: The actress shows us that Zuhair Murad doesn’t always spell tacky. This Spring 2015 Couture jumpsuit is divine and she is working it like no other. Kudos to her. Jimmy Choo ‘Creole’ pumps and a Rauwolf clutch accessorized her look.

Regina King: This Nicolas Jebran gown won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I love the artful colours on this design. I don’t, however, like the illusion neckline. Not close enough to her skin tone.

Leslie Mann: Like Naomi Watts, Leslie went the white suiting route, layering up with a selection of gold Neil Lane jewels the look probably didn’t really require so much of.

Thandie Newton In Chanel – ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ World Premiere

Thandie Newton In Chanel - 'The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' World Premiere

Thandie Newton attended the Royal Film Performance and world premiere of ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday (February 17) in London, England.

It’s rare for me to develop goosebumps upon sight of a black and white dress, but that is exactly what happened in this case.

On a scale of one to ten, the never-ageing beauty that is Thandie Newton scored a perfect ten in looking breathtaking in this Chanel strapless velvet gown.

Usually I prefer a clean neckline with a strapless gown, but her ‘Panache and Pearl’ Chanel Fine Jewellery necklace only serves to enhance the sophistication and glamorous nature of this look.

This could’ve come off as boring and dated, but Thandie made the look the perfect jewel that it is.

Judges, what are your scores?

Thandie Newton In Suno – ‘The Slap’ New York Premiere Party

Thandie Newton In Suno - 'The Slap' New York Premiere Party

It’s always a delight to see Thandie Newton on the red carpet, and last night saw her return for the ‘The Slap’ premiere party held at The New Museum on Monday (February 9) in New York City.

Digging back into her closet, she pulled out all the stops wearing a Suno floral-print dress from the Spring 2013 collection with a midriff cut-out front revealing just the right amount of skin.

I love this floral print. With its stop-and-stare capabilities, the print makes you say ooh, while Thandie’s playful approach has you grinning, like she is, from ear to ear.

Working a natural curly do, I love the additional pop of colour provided by the aquamarine earrings, plus I have to hold my hands up and say the white pumps worked perfectly here.

I wouldn’t change a thing. Would you?

You may remember that Lindsay Lohan wore this same dress on Letterman back in 2013.

Thandie Newton In Eki Orleans – Audi International Event

Thandie Newton In Eki Orleans - Audi International Event

Thandie Newton attended the Audi International event at Guards Polo Club on Saturday (July 26) in Egham, England to support England as it faces Argentina for the Coronation Cup.

The British actress wore a multi-coloured print dress with exaggerated hips from Nigerian designer, Eki Orleans.

This mini dress from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection is a perfect amalgamation of African prints with a contemporary design.

Styled with beige criss-cross sandals and a veiled fascinator, I am sure the actress turned more than a few heads, especially considering she gave birth to her latest bundle of joy just four months ago.
