Taylor Swift In Gucci Première - 2014 Grammy Awards

Four-time nominee Taylor Swift was every bit a statuesque golden girl at the 2014 Grammy Awards, even before the show got underway at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 26).

While the popular songstress stayed very much in her comfort zone of sparkle and shine, she still stunned in a Gucci Première gold lamé, short-sleeve fitted gown featuring a crystal mesh overlay and crystal gemstone detail at the neckline, arms and waist.

She likened the dress to ‘chainmail’ on the red carpet, and what a flashy suit of armor it was—especially with those diamond earrings.

Softening the glittery effect, she pulled her blonde locks into a side-parted ponytail and painted on a pretty pink pout.

Expected? Perhaps. Experimental? No. But, still lovely.

Taylor Swift In Zuhair Murad - Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Party

Taylor Swift joined Jennifer Hudson on the red carpet for Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Gala event held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (January 25) in Beverly Hills, California.

Sticking to what she does best; short and sparkly, the singer wore a Zuhair Murad Resort 2013 black long sleeve opaque beaded dress with open back and flounce hemline.

Her flirty frock was styled with Bionda Castana ‘Langley’ black suede heels, swapping out her favoured red lip for a pretty pink lip shade.

Kohl-rimmed eyes, onyx drop earrings and a wavy side ponytail rounded out her look.

Taylor Swift In Julien Macdonald - InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party

Following her Carolina Herrera gown for the main event, Taylor Swift changed for the 2014 InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globe Awards post-party on Sunday (January 12) in Beverly Hills, California.

The singer wore a daring Julien Macdonald Spring 2014 black knit dress which is in total contrast to her earlier look.

While some will be relieved she made it through the night without a single crystal embellishment or sequin, others may deem this dress to be on the tacky side.

I think it is a perfect party frock which takes Taylor way out of her comfort zone; plus, she has the body and legs to wear it, so why not?

Jimmy Choo sandals, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, wavy tresses and her signature red lip completed this look.

Taylor Swift In Carolina Herrera - 2014 Golden Globes

Taylor Swift made a sweeping entrance onto the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night (January 12).

Nominated for best original song for the upcoming film, ‘One Chance,’ the singer took her own chance by debuting a new look for her. On this night, gone was the predictable sparkle and shine, the girly-glam and the occasional Grecian goddess-influenced flair.

In its place, a drama-filled Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2014 strapless gown—delightfully coloured in cherry-red, save for the slice of edgy black that outlined the sweetheart bodice.

The bustling, ball-gown skirt, which extravagantly trailed behind her, was asymmetrically gathered and draped at the right side, leaving me to wonder if this might present a bit of a challenge once seated.

No matter, it was a lovely entrance that still came across as rather effortless—perhaps due in part to the fact that it wasn’t cluttered by one-too-many jewels. Beautiful gemstone earrings peeked through behind her retro curls, while a statement ring provided an edgier sparkle. Her standard kohl-lined cateye and ruby-red lip were also present and accounted for.

Did Taylor’s slightly new style direction win you over?

Taylor Swift In Reem Acra - Winter Whites Gala In Aid Of CentrepointTaylor Swift attended the Winter Whites Gala in Aid of Centrepoint, hosted at Kensington Palace in London, England on Tuesday.

The songstress herself was a vision in white, as she swept through the soiree in a divine Reem Acra Spring 2014 off-the-shoulder gown. The lacy, metallic-embellished nude bodice and the skirt’s long layers of fluid chiffon were near angelic.

I was certainly singing praises… simply because the bodice’s nude illusion lining was actually indiscernible from the front, as it should be.

She kept her jewels to a minimum, instead accessorizing with complementary Rene Caovilla platinum, Swarovski crystal heels and a Jenny Packham clutch, finishing her entrance with a bold, bright magenta lip and the classically glam flourish of a retro pin-curled updo.

I have a feeling some of you might characterize this look as too expected, but I still think Taylor made an undeniably ravishing entrance. Do you agree?
