Look We Love: Taylor Swift’s Lush (But Cute) Curls

In the illustrious words of Charlie Sheen, Taylor Swift is #WINNING. Not only does the 21-year old country music phenom win award after award after award, we have yet to see her have a bad hair day. Granted, she pretty much sticks with the same look (she has flirted with straight hair once or twice), but hey if it ain’t broke… Here’s how to sculpt beautiful bouncy ringlets like Swift’s:

Wrap large sections of your hair around the barrel of your curling iron, taking care to intertwine your strands in-between the spiral hair guide. We love Rsession Tools 4-in-1 Tapered Curling Iron, $49.99 at—constructing perfect curls has never been easier.

Using your fingers, rake through your hair to loosen curls, and mist with a holding spray to set. We love Hold Please Volume Shine Hairspray, $10 at—in addition to flexible hold, it also adds a bit of gloss and an ounce of oomph.

Taylor Swift In Elie Saab Couture – 2011 Academy Of Country Music Awards

Best Couture Award
The one person we can always rely on to add a touch of sparkle to the red carpet at a Country Music Awards show is Taylor Swift.

The Queen of embellishments wore an Elie Saab Couture Spring 2010 gown to the 2011 Academy Of Country Music Awards, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada yesterday.

Her pale yellow embroidered gown with floral appliqué is stunning. The colour is absolutely divine against her milky complexion.

It’s a gown worthy of a winner.

Sidewalk Style: Taylor Swift In Topshop

On Wednesday morning Taylor Swift was spotted leaving her hotel in London.

She was making her way to Abbey Road Studios where she is set to perform a special gig.

The Country singer was in very high spirits as she was greeted by her UK fans.

She looked adorable wearing a Topshop ivory lace dress with two tone heels.

Her look was completed with a Ralph Lauren tan mini briefcase from the Spring 2011 collection which she’s been seen carrying everywhere whilst in Europe.

What I like most about Taylor’s look is that she added a black tutu to her Topshop dress. This makes it look like a two-tone dress and adds a flare to the skirt.

A black belt complements her black hemline.

See the girl does have some imagination when it comes to fashion.

What do you think of her modified look?

You can purchase her dress from Topshop US and Topshop International.

Taylor Swift In Zuhair Murad – 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Despite that fact that it feels like Groundhog Day every time Taylor Swift hits the red carpet, she did look good at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California on Sunday night.

She was glowing wearing a Zuhair Murad Spring 2011 dress.

Her gold and silver beaded strapless dress with corset back is nothing we haven’t seen from her before. In fact I feel like I’ve seen this exact head-to-toe look at least twice before.

I guess her moto is, “if it broke, don’t fix it,” but I do feel like she’s in desperate need of style change.

A wavy updo, red lip plus Jimmy Choo ‘Crown’ platform sandals and Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch completed her look.

Taylor Swift In Mark & James by Badgley Mischka – CoverGirl Cosmetic’s 50th Anniversary Party

After winning the award for ‘Favourite Country Artist’ at the People’s Choice Awards, Taylor Swift headed over to Boa Steakhouse to celebrate CoverGirl’s 50th Anniversary party.

The country singer changed into a black Mark & James by Badgley Mischka dress.

Her black strapless sequined dress with a sheer overlay was paired with sparkling D&G sandals.

I guess she can’t stay away from sequins for too long.

Her party look complete with a wavy updo, signature ruby lips and Neil Lane jewels.

I’m not fond of this dress on Taylor at all.

I much preferred her J. Mendel dress. I love it when Taylor opts for colourful dresses. This is very dull even with the sequins.

Taylor Swift In J. Mendel – 2011 People’s Choice Awards

Unpredictable Award
Country singer Taylor Swift looked adorable as she graced the red carpet at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards last night.

She was up for two music awards at this event, but my award goes to her for not being predictable.

Taylor starts her 2011 red carpet campaign wearing a J. Mendel Spring 2011 dress.

Her stunning peach pleated cocktail dress was accented with a beaded belt and paired with Neil Lane jewels and Prada suede heels.

Her look is 50% sweet, 50% Rodarte-inspired but 100% refreshing.

American Vogue readers will recognise this dress as Natalie Portman wears it on the January 2011 cover.

Taylor Swift In Jenny Packham – CMT Artists of the Year

Taylor Swift reverted back to her beautiful curls at the CMT Artists of the Year event in Franklin, Tennessee last night.

Like Carrie Underwood she also wore a Jenny Packham dress.

Her chic ¾ sleeve lace LBD was decorated with paillettes which brightens up her look and prevents it from being stale and boring, because let’s face it we’ve seen many black lace dresses on the red carpet.

I also liked Taylor’s shoes as the satin heels had a cute bow front detail.
