Black Girls Rock! 2013 Red Carpet Roundup

Black Girls Rock! 2013 Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a round up to the rest of the looks from the Black Girls Rock! event, which was held at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, October 26, 2013 to honour legendary singer Patti Labelle.

Kelly Rowland: The singer is never one to shy away from a (strategically) revealing ensemble, and with this Alon Livne Fall 2013 jumpsuit, you get just that. The embellishments and half-sleeves on top gave way to a sheer pant silhouette on bottom. To finish, she wore Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Christian Louboutin heels.

Tatyana Ali: The actress went the glamorous route in a white Michael Costello fishtail gown, which boasted a dramatic rosette detail at the shoulder, a subtle geometric cutout at the midriff, and a metal-plated B-Low the Belt ‘Vanity’ belt at the waist. Her look was completed with a soft updo, red lips, and Erickson Beamon jewelry.

Keke Palmer: Opting for something elegant and just a little bit celestial, the actress wore a black sparkle Novis ‘Dovima’ gown. Her loose curls, flawless make-up, and minimal accessories were the appropriate complement to such an eye-catching dress.

Tatyana Ali In Pia Pauro – 2013 365 Black Awards

Tatyana Ali In Pia Pauro - 2013 365 Black Awards

Tatyana Ali attended the 2013 365 Black Awards at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Saturday in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The actress wore a Pia Pauro Spring 2013 strapless textured dress with ethnic embroidery, simply styled with red sandals, a gold box clutch and a cuff.

I’m not too crazy about the tight fit on the bust, so I find it hard to appreciate this look.

Tatyana Ali In Lorena Sarbu - 2013 BET Awards

Tatyana Ali attended the 2013 BET Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California on Sunday evening.

‘The Young and the Restless’ actress wore a sexy Lorena Sarbu Spring 2013 black-and-white triangle-beaded gown with a deep plunging front and back.

Opting for black-and-silver jewels and a matching Lancaster Paris clutch, the actress swept her wavy locks to one side, adding a pink lip shade for a pop of colour.

2013 NAACP Image Awards Red Carpet Round Up

2013 NAACP Image Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Here are a few looks I missed from the 2013 NAACP Image Awards which took place on Friday evening at the Shrine Auditorium in California.

Tatyana Ali: The gorgeous actress, who will always be Ashley Banks in my eyes, wore a beautiful printed cowl-back gown by Kevan Hall. The amethyst Rococo-print silk charmeuse gown was styled with a Lauren Merkin reptilian clutch and Mikimoto jewels. Curled hair and a berry lip colour completed her look.

Sandra Oh: Sporting tight curly tresses, the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star looked stunning wearing a forest-green vintage Halston draped gown with an open back and leather waistband accent. A selection of gold and silver link-chain bracelets, rings and a black glitter clutch accessorized her look.

Meagan Good: The actress looked very, very good wearing a Catherine Malandrino Fall 2012 gown from the designer’s Black Label collection. Her dark-violet one-sleeved gown, with a light ruffle cascading from the knotted waist, was one of the more vibrant looks to take to the red carpet. Barely-there makeup and silver glitter heels provided the finishing touches.

Meagan is the best of the three in my eyes. The colour is so hypnotic.

2012 BET Awards

The 2012 BET Awards was held at The Shrine Auditorium in LA on Sunday evening with several stars taking to the red carpet.

Selita Ebanks: The model sported a sexy, futuristic look wearing a Falguni and Shane Peacock dress with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. The silver clutch doesn’t work for me, even with the silver bead work on her dress, but the rest of her look scores highly.

La La Vazquez-Anthony: The TV personality opted for a ‘Studio 54-esque’ look wearing a shimmering Lois London jumpsuit. Her top-notch styling included a vintage Versace belt, Jimmy Choo heels and complementary Loren Ridinger jewels. A side-swept ponytail completed her look.

Monica Brown: The singer looked sensational rocking a berry-coloured look which featured a structured blazer and sequin pants.

Tatayana Ali In Nicole Miller – Black Girls Rock! 2011

Tatyana Ali dazzled on the red carpet for the second annual Black Girls Rock! Awards which was held at the Paradise Theater in New York City this weekend.

The actress looked gorgeous wearing a Nicole halter gown.

Her multi-coloured sequined gown was teamed with a white Lauren Merkin ‘Lucca’ oval-shaped minaudiere and gold jewels.

I adore her curly hairstyle and I’m obsessed with that tangerine lip colour.

Who Wore Stella McCartney Better? Kelly Ripa, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tatyana Ali or Helena Christensen

TV host Kelly Ripa was the first to wear this cute nude lace Stella McCartney dress when she visited the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City for her appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman” last month.

During the last 6 weeks 3 other celebs have worn this dress including Sarah Jessica Parker.

She wore the same dress two days after Kelly to “Bravo’s 2010 Upfront Party” in New York.

Not that you can see much of the dress under her white blazer, gazillion necklaces and that very distracting black bag.

Tatyana Ali let her dress do the talking, when she arrived at the “Mother And Child” LA premiere earlier this week.

Her look was simply paired with open toe ankle strap sandals.

Supermodel Helena Christensen also wore this dress this week when she attended the 8th Annual Can-Do Awards Dinner in New York.

She also didn’t over accessorize, she only added a Chanel purse and ruby ankle strap pumps.

They all look fabulous in this dress.

Tatyana wins for me as she’s the only one who didn’t distract me with accessories.

This dress is available to purchase in white from Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International
