Final Sweep Of The 2015 Met Gala Red Carpet

met gala 2015

As you know when it comes to the Met Gala, I always – as impossible as the task is – try to feature everyone, so here is the final sweep from Monday’s (May 4) event.

As this is very last post, leave your top 10 in the comments.

Livia Firth: Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you pay homage to the Chinese theme. Livia’s Antonio Berardi for the Green Carpet Challenge gown was elegant, refined, and so refreshing on a night were the self-promotion and not living up to the dress code ruled. Easily one of the best on the night, and her arm-candy (husband Colin Firth) scrubbed up nicely to.

Carina Lau: Sadly, the Asian actress got a bum deal from the pictures agencies who only added them to their sites the day after the event (no doubt not recognising who these beauties were, and what joy they were bringing to this lacklustre table). Continuing her love affair with all things Schiaparelli Haute Couture, Carina wore a black and white look marrying both Chinese intricacies with modernity and less face it – plenty of fierceness. I can also picture this on Dita von Teese.

Tang Wei In Vionnet – ‘Blackhat’ LA Premiere

Tang Wei In Vionnet - 'Blackhat' LA Premiere

Tang Wei joined her co-star Chris Hemsworth for the premiere of their latest movie ‘Blackhat’ held at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on Thursday (January 8) in Hollywood, California.

The Asian beauty, who makes her debut in a Hollywood movie, was looking just as gorgeous as her co-star, wearing a Vionnet Spring 2014 gown.

While this might be deemed to summery, I adore the softness of this mellow yellow gown, which reveals a sensual open back.

Styled with super-glossy side-swept tresses, she completed her look with a gold metallic clutch.

Tang Wei In Roberto Cavalli – 2014 Golden Horse Awards

Tang Wei In Roberto Cavalli - 2014 Golden Horse Awards

Tang Wei attended the 51st Golden Horse Awards held at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on Saturday (November 22) in Taipei, Taiwan joining Zhang Ziyi and Lily Collins.

The actress wore a striking and rather sensual lapis-blue Roberto Cavalli gown with a touch of the designer’s signature animal magic via the crystallized alligator-skin-like effect cascading down the front of the gown.

Going simple on the makeup, she did add yet more bling via her sapphire ring and a cuff which felt a bit out of place.

Tang Wei In Dolce & Gabbana – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “The Artist” Premiere

Wow…and not in a good way.

Tang Wei has worn many amazing looks during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, but she got it so very wrong at “The Artist” Premiere this evening.

There are only two pictures available of her compared to 49 for Fan Bing Bing, so it’s clear that even the photogs didn’t think much of her look.

Tang wore a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 dress with their signature star print for the fall season.

Her dress would be perfect for a photocall, but is falls way short for a Premiere dress, especially when paired with the jacket and bag.

I thought Bryce Dallas Howard’s look was my least favourite so far at Cannes, but I take that back because this is.

Every major European designer has a suite full of gowns in hotels throughout Cannes, so there is no excuse for this.

Cannes is not the time to do casual or fish net tights *shudders*

2011 Cannes Film Festival “Wu Xia” Photocall

Tang Wei arrived at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Wu Xia” Photocall in very good spirits.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey has made Chanel so boring for me over the past few days, that I’m glad Tang Wei was able breath life and vitality into this Chanel Spring 2011 ensemble.

I would never have picked this look for any celebrity in the fear it would look matronly or costumey, but I love it on Tang Wei who is effervescent and charming.

Her jewels are complementary and I love her black strappy shoe choice.

I know many of you have issues with this tea length, but I love it on this occasion.

Tang Wei In Valentino – The Weinstein Company VIP Press Event

It’s all white tonight at Cannes Film Festival, as Tang Wei becomes the 4th celebrity of the day to opt for a white dress.

The Asian actress looked gorgeous as she attended The Weinstein Company VIP Press Event at the Martinez Hotel, which was also attend by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Tang wore a Valentino white dress with a beautiful ruffled detail which reminds me of the Valentino gown Chloe Sevigny wore to the 2010 Golden Globe Awards.

Her on-trend dress was tied around the waist with an organza ribbon.

The look was kept very simple and pure with only a silver clutch accessorizing her look.
