Stacy Martin In Prada – 2017 amfAR Gala Cannes

Stacy Martin attended the amfAR Gala Cannes, held on Thursday (May 25) during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

For the occasion, she wore a metallic Prada gown with no accouterments.

At first glance, I thought how bare Stacy looked, but after taking a moment to digest her look, I absolutely love that she left all necklaces and bracelets at home, and just let her gown do the talking.

The silvery mint color is delightful, and of course that bodice-lining beading is all the jewels she needs.

I’m also a huge fan of the beauty decisions made here. The simple, slightly undone blowout is perfectly effortless, and the contrast of the dark berry lips and gold highlighted eyes are masterful with the light-colored gown.

Trophée Chopard Ceremony

A range of stars indulged in a range of sparkling looks at the Trophée Chopard Ceremony on Monday (May 22) as part of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Marion Cotillard: None shone more brightly than Marion who took my breath away in a Halpern Fall 2017 masterwork styled with a diamond collar necklace. I could gush on and on about the fantasy of the design’s radiant, colour-swirled paillettes, the unexpected mod edge of the pants, and the impossibly long, shimmering train. But, we should just let the look do the talking.

‘Redoubtable (Le Redoutable) Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Berenice Bejo and Stacy Martin attended the ‘Redoubtable (Le Redoutable)’ premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 21).

Berenice Bejo: While her Alexis Mabille gown celebrate the ethereal and sensual nature of the brand, I’m not a fan of the fit of the gown.

Stacy Martin: The actress fared better wearing a Miu Miu halter gown which fit to perfection. On this occasion there is no need to sell the high-low design, as the silver sandals perfectly complimented that dazzling neckline.

Stacy Martin In No. 21 – ‘Redoubtable’ Photocall Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Stacy Martin is a Prada/Miu Miu girl, so I was surprised to see her opt for a different brand for the ‘Redoubtable’ Cannes Film Festival photocall this afternoon (May 21).

Celebrities love affair with all things sheer continued with Stacy’s No. 21 Fall 2017 dress.

This siren red dress was designed to catch stares and leave a lasting impression.

Captivated by it’s beautiful whisper-weight and tiered ruffled trims, I was all for declaring my love for this look, but was thrown by the noticeable nipple covers.

2017 Met Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Hailee Steinfeld: I love the deconstructed kimono edge of this Vera Wang design that was both playful and progressive. Hailee’s twisted top knot and winged eye liner likewise sold the look to me.

Dasha Zhukova
: Dasha softly echoed the theme with this red floral Proenza Schouler keyhole gown.

Olivia Cooke: Also wearing the colour of the night, Olivia donned a seductive red Burberry gown with boudoir lace that got creative in its asymmetry.

‘The Sense Of An Ending’ Gala Screening

It was an all British affair for the gala screening of ‘The Sense of an Ending’ at Picturehouse Central on Thursday (April 6) in London.

Stacy Martin: I love the carefree spirit of Stacy’s modish Prada Spring 2017 look which features the new update on the infamous pout print. The look was of course styled with chunky Prada sandals.

Billy Howle: Sleek and contemporary, this Gucci Resort 2017 black-azure Monaco suit is cut in a slim fit to embody the brand’s streamlined aesthetic. Thankfully Billy’s trousers reached his ankles, unlike the model in the look book.

Freya Mavor: I have stated several times that I am very much fatigue by sheer gowns, but on the odd occasion – like on Sienna Miller – I can find myself warming to the odd one or two. On this occasion I found myself mildly horrified by Freya’s decision to wear white boy shorts with her Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2017 black sheer dress. Surely black would’ve been a better option. Further proof that this trend needs to die. ASAP.
