2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

The crush of beauties continued in full force on the red carpet of the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

Odeya Rush: The young starlet was a vision in this neon-bright chartreuse Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. The sculptural, one-shoulder ruffle detail is nothing we haven’t seen before, but the bold colour made the look feel dynamic. I do think she could have offered up a more youthful beauty look—and less bronzer—to accompany the sophisticated sass of the gown.

Dree Hemingway: There was a delicate daintiness to this Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 nude, embellished lace gown, which Dree echoed in her minimal hair and makeup. The yellow-tinged, ribbon belt made all the difference in breathing a bit of life into the neutral dress, with Repossi jewels to complete the look.

St. Vincent In Saint Laurent – 2018 Oscars

St. Vincent is performing at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California.

But, before the singer took the stage, she was on the red carpet in what I would call a performance look from the Saint Laurent Spring 2018 collection.

Some may have thought that she had forgotten her pants; others may have called this a romper.

But, this was actually a snappy little black mini that was hyper-stylized with the one pouf sleeve and retro-facing sensibility.

With her sculptural hairdo adding to the theatrics, she did not change my mind on this being a performance look—better suited for the stage and not an Oscars red carpet.

But it did align to her eclectic personality and style.

St Vincent In Adam Selman – Second Edition of The House of Peroni Unveiling

Annie Clark from St. Vincent co-hosted the Peroni Nastro Azzurro unveiling of the Second Edition of The House of Peroni on Thursday (October 5) in New York City.

The musician wore an Adam Selman Fall 2017 look which you may remember we’ve seen on Katy Perry.

Roses are an endlessly romantic floral, and in embroidered tulle with a black bodysuit underneath, it’s also a little edgy.

Some may think this has a loungewear-ish vibe, but I love how she styled this look to keep it tasteful. The same can’t be said for Karrueche Tran.

‘Paper Towns’ New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

'Paper Towns' New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Cara Delevingne’s sister, fellow catwalkers and co-stars joined the model/actress on the red carpet for the ‘Paper Towns’ New York premiere at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Tuesday (July 21) in New York City.

Poppy Delevingne: The socialite wore a dainty Dolce & Gabbana carnation print mini for the occasion. The accessories really sell the look to me; Jennifer Behr ‘Contessa’ Swarovski crystal-embellished headband and all.

Karlie Kloss: The model opted for a more minimalist Calvin Klein look while sticking to neutral shades. I have to say I love this look for Karlie. Her red carpet style isn’t always that great – although things have been improving – so this is win for her.

Joan Smalls: While I like her floral print Balmain Pre-Fall 2015 skirt, the turtleneck sweater on a summers evening is a head scratcher.

St. Vincent In Céline – 29th Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony

St Vincent In Céline - 29th Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony

St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, joined Lorde on stage for the tribute to Kurt Cobain and Nirvana’s history and legacy which saw them inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame in a ceremony held at the Barclays Center on Thursday (April 10) in New York City.

Just yesterday I was bemoaning the fact that we don’t see enough Céline on the red carpet, and then, like buses, two came along at once.

As someone commented on the post, the key to making this look work is to break down the runway styling.

St. Vincent did just that, wearing the colourful brush-stroke mini dress without the sheer pleated skirt.

While I loved the additional skirt, St. Vincent’s look packs a mighty punch as a perfect rock chick performance piece.
