Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Gucci hosted a fashionable soiree to celebrate the Artisan Corner at their Mumbai boutique this weekend.

The event was, of course, graced by the beautiful Sonam Kapoor who continues to prove she’s one to watch on the red carpet.

She looked very chic wearing a Gucci Spring 2012 ensemble.

The black and white animal-print boxy jacket was teamed with a striped criss-cross halter top and two-tone pants.

Black and gold Gucci accessories including a clutch, sandals and a medallion belt took the look from gorgeous to stunning with those gold earrings providing the perfect finishing touch.

I love her slick runway inspired updo.

Most definitely a BDOTW contender. This look overtakes Charlize Theron as my favourite look from this collection to be worn on the red carpet.

Sonam Kapoor was the star attraction on the red carpet at the Hello Awards in Mumbai last Wednesday.

The Indian actress looked sensational wearing a Gucci Fall 2011 dress.

Her mimosa silk-chiffon gown with a necktie and culottes was teamed with a floral and feather accented shrug.

Sonam also carried the Indian exclusive bronze Gucci Anaconda clutch which is encrusted with Swarovski elements.

A beautiful updo, stunning earrings and a gold ring completed her look.

I know many of you were slightly fatigued by these gowns after seeing them on Jennifer Lopez and Florence Welch this summer, but I think Sonam breathes new life into this look.

Sonam Kapoor attended Pooja Makhija’s well-being clinic NOURISH in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday evening.

The Bollywood beauty looked sensational wearing a Stella McCartney Fall 2011 dress.

Her charming spot-appliquéd white dress with a lined bodice was paired with grey accessories including a croc clutch and Jil Sander pumps.

From what I’ve seen, Sonam loves to accessorize with black pieces, so I’m glad she opted for a different colour on this occasion.

Kohl-rimmed eyes, berry nails and sleek locks completed her look.

Sonam Kapoor attended the “Mausam” Premiere at Big Imax Cinemas in Mumbai last night.

The pretty Indian actress wore a Prabal Gurung Resort 2012 ensemble.

I’ve featured Sonam many times in dark colours, so I’m thankful to see her wearing something colourful for a refreshing change.

Her look consisted of an acid pink bow-tie blouse with a black laser-cut polka-dot flounced ball skirt.

I think this is a very daring look for Sonam and I’m happy to see her break out of her comfort zone on this occasion because I was starting to wonder what all the fuss was about.

I have a feeling it won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I’m interested to see more of her in the future if she continues to switch things up.

A black Swarovski clutch and Sunita Kapoor earrings completed her look.

Sonam Kapoor attended a dinner hosted by her co-star Akshay Kumar in honour of Camilla Belle who is currently in India to promote her new movie, “Breakaway”.

The Indian beauty wore a beautiful Elie Saab Couture Spring 2012 dress.

Her strapless embroidered dress had a black pencil skirt and a dove grey bodice. A cropped sleeveless jacket with bold shoulders added a chic touch to her look.

Sonam opted for black accessories which included D&G pumps and a signature Bottega Veneta clutch.

This is a beautiful look for Sonam.

It was event-appropriate and, whilst it’s Couture, she didn’t try to upstage the guest of honour.
