Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Sonam Kapoor was a judge for the Pantaloons Femina Miss India pageant on Friday in Mumbai.

The gorgeous Bollywood actress wore a Naeem Khan Spring 2012 gown.

Her fuchsia taffeta ballgown with a crystal-fringed bateau neck bodice was yet another beautiful look for Sonam.

She wore her hair back in a low ponytail and enhanced the bedazzlement of her look with diamond drop earrings.

Sonam Kapoor attended Maxim’s 6th Anniversary party in India last week.

The stylish beauty wore a Prabal Gurung dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

I’m glad she went back a few seasons to select this dress, as it deserved a red carpet moment.

The black cold-shoulder dress with black, white and grey embellished details also has feather accents on the base of the skirt.

I love the purple sparkling clutch, but I’m not so crazy about the taupe pumps.

A beehive ponytail, smoky eyes and a coral lip colour completed her look.

In New York, the front-row regulars included Rose McGowan and Leigh Lezark. In London, it was Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevigne.

In Milan, the unlikely front-row star was Sonam Kapoor.

The Indian beauty, who is becoming fashion’s newest It Girl, was front row at Salvatore Ferragamo – plus she attended both the show and after-parties for Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana.

She went from veggie print to sultry sequined siren at Dolce & Gabbana, businesslike at Salvatore Ferragamo, model-esque front row at Roberto Cavalli, and finally traditional at the Cavalli cocktail party.

The Cavalli front-row look is the winner for me. First of all, I love the sleek locks. As her hair is often tied back, I was unaware how long her hair was.

Secondly, I love the dark, moody vibe and the neutral makeup.

The front row at Dolce & Gabbana shows are just as anticipated as the collection itself.

The celebrities make their way down from the VIP lounge, to the end of the runway where they are papped by the photographers one by one.

Sonam Kapoor: I was honoured that Sonam wanted to meet me before the show as I had missed her in Paris. She was happy to discover that we were the same height. It’s a rare that I meet women my height so I shared her joy. She looked amazing wearing a sunflower and onion Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012 fitted dress. “I’m wearing vegetables”, she joked. “You wear it well”, I replied. Red lips matched her red Dolce & Gabbana bag and gold peep-toes completed her look.

Dame Helen Mirren: The grand Dame was almost unrecognisable at the Dolce & Gabbana show. When word got around that it was her, people were in disbelief. Mostly because she continues to defy her years looking very sprightly wearing head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana. She opted for floral instead of fruit, teaming her fitted dress with a beige short sleeve coat from the Spring 2012 collection. An animal print Miss Sicily bag completed the look.

Monica Bellucci: The actress sent the photographers crazy; as you can well imagine. The woman who is archetypal Dolce & Gabbana woman and face of the Spring 2012 campaign looked stunning wearing a Dolce & Gabbana polka dot dress. She really took my breath away with her presence and beauty.

Sonam Kapoor won best dressed this week despite the many gorgeous gowns taking to the red carpet over the last seven days.

She looked breath-taking in a purple Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2012 satin pants suit paired with a shimmering pink top and Ferragamo sandals.

This has to be my favourite ever red carpet look from her.

I hope we get to see more of her on the red carpet, as this is picture perfect.
