If you were following me on twitter, you would have known that I attended the Matthew Williamson for H&M Pre-Launch event this evening.

The event started at 1830, but I got there around 1845, and was so crestfallen when I saw that the queue was going around the block. This meant I could kiss those pieces from my wish list goodbye.

The best thing about standing in the queue was seeing Matthew Williamson, who was happy to smile for the picture above, as he walked the length of the queue to see how many fashion hungry women were keen to get their hands on his collection.

Although I didn’t get the studded belt that I wanted, nor the Ginnifer Goodwin’s sequined dress, I did get the 5 pieces above.

My favourite piece was the fuchsia pink peacock embellished cardigan, which I originally wanted in blue, but I just adore it in pink.

For those of you who wanted to know prices:
£29.99/€39.90 for the cowl neck peacock top,
£49.99/€79.90 for the cardigan,
£34.99/€49.90 for the sleeveless embroidered top,
£39.99/€59.90 for the jacquard skirt and;
£14.99/€22.90 for the peacock pendent.

One of Matthew Williamson’s darlings, Sienna Miller was there.

She was not wearing the H&M line, but a multi-coloured dress from his Fall 2009 collection, which she looked amazing in.

Love the dress, and how fresh she looks, but I’m not crazy about the shoes at all.

If Sienna is Queen darling, then Mischa Barton is Princess darling.

She arrived wearing the same navy blue jacquard Matthew Williamson for H&M skirt I had purchased, with a cropped white tee, and Matthew Williamson for H&M leather waistcoat.

I love how the whole look is pulled together with those amazing Alexander McQueen studded platform peep-toe booties.

I still want that sequined dress, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will be there tomorrow.

UPDATE: I went back early this morning and got the sequined dress.

I ? it. It looks so cute in my wardrobe, and I can’t wait to wear it.

The one thing I really admire about Sienna Miller and Thandie Newton, is that they both support designers who present their collections in London.

Despite Sienna’s being wildly known for her bohemian look, I always saw her as a bit of a dare devil style wise. So I was surprised she didn’t wear this outstanding Marios Schwab Fall 2009 LRD, as it was presented on the runway, with the embellished double-layered openings.

Sienna wore a softer, less edgy version to The Mysteries of Pittsburgh New York screening last night, matching her bright red shift dress with red lipstick, tights and Roger Vivier black peep-toes.

I know you’re tired of me questioning tights with everything, so I won’t got there, as this another great look for Sienna. I make that 2 for 2.

FINALLY, no more boho.

Sienna Miller has actually managed to wow me wearing a bold-shouldered futuristic Jonathan Saunders Fall 2009 yellow, red and black patterned dress.

It’s so fashion-forward, and on-trend, but the hair is so blah. So very very blah for such a great dress.

Her look is complete with Sergio Rossi elasticated strappy ankle sandals.

Just as I hoped, Rachel McAdams is out and about again, looking magnificent.

The dark haired beauty, wore an eye-catching nude off-the-shoulder Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2009 mini dress. The dress had soft voluminous sleeves, with one cold-shoulder.

Her on-trend nude dress, is complimented with matching heels, and a yellow Christian Louboutin Pharaon clutch.

Rumer Willis, like Sienna, opted for an edgy look.

Todd Lynn is known for his exquisite tailored, rock chic pieces, with a touch of the goth, so this is a very apt look for Rumer.

The deep plunging Spring 2009 dress, has structure shoulders, and glossy a sheen. The actress wore her dress with Christian Louboutin Paquita gladiators.

I’m still hoping at some stage she will revert back to black hair.

Audrina Patridge looked stunning wearing a strapless Rafael Cennamo Fall 2008 bronze dress. The dress gives – the now actress – a sexy silhouette, with the main details being the a fan bodice and hem.

No jewels required, just black pumps and a smile.

“Late Show with David Letterman”, New York

The black YSL Trib Twos were grinding on my last nerve, but I am happier that celebs are at least wearing the must have shoe in another colour now.

Ginnifer Goodwin wore the dove grey YSL Trib Two slingbacks, with her YSL LBD.

Her dress was in desperate need for some kind of magic, so she wore stunning Roxanne Assounlin for Brian Reyes jewelry to add some pizazz to her look.

Jergens and Skin Cancer Foundation’s Glow In The Dark Event, LA

Rachel Bilson looked super stylish in a navy and white 3.1 Phillip Lim dress.

I love the origami dress on the dress, it very much reminds me of Kristen Stewart’s Paule Ka dress.

Rachel completed her look with Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. I really ? this look.

Boston Common Magazine Cover, Boston

Eliza Dushku celebrated her cover for Boston Common magazine at a party thrown in her honour. The actress wore a silver sequined a-line Moschino Cheap & Chic Spring 2008 dress with a knotted neckline. She completed her look with ballet pumps.

I much prefer this dress belted, to how it was presented on the runway.

“Fast & Furious” Bochum Premiere

Jordana Brewster wore her purple Reem Acra Fall 2008 dress with a black sash, with Christian Louboutin Paquita gladiators.

It appears Jordana and her co-star colour coordinated their red carpet looks.

Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana’s looks both incorporated black and purple.

Michelle’s long black maxi dress was worn with a Catherine Malandrino deep purple embossed leather cropped motorcycle jacket. For once she looks really good, but….

…for some reason the actress was dying to show off her ripped jeans under her dress

*shakes head*

“In-I” Press Conference, Seoul

Juliette Binoche black taffeta dress is stunning, but for some reason she makes hard work of it.

Her hair has that ‘just got out of bed’ look, and her bra strap is peeking out over her dress.

A strapless bra, would have added more elegance to her look.

First Light Movie Awards 2009

Instead of her own expensive Twenty8Twelve collection, Sienna Miller looked to the high street for this event, wearing £95 All Saints Ditzy print dress.

Her look was complete with a Chanel cuff, a black jacket and brown slouchy boots.

I’m desperately waiting for Sienna’s style to evolve.

“Duplicity” New York Premiere

Julia Roberts teased us with a peek of a colour other than black, wearing a floral Christian Dior dress. The only problem is that she kept her black Akris coat on the whole time.

Her look was complete with a pair of Lanvin black satin pumps.

*eye-roll*

February 21st, 2009

Dita von Teese – as we expect – looked spectacular wearing a long draped flesh silk chiffon Christian Lacroix Fall 2008 Couture gown with a pink ombre train, a matching clutch and a copper bow.

The gown has been modified for the better from the runway version.

Lucy Liu is one of my Top 10 Best Dressed actresses on the red carpet. She looks outstanding wearing this white Giambattista Valli Fall 2008 sheath dress, with a woollen cape.

She completed her look with beige Jimmy Choo platform heels, and a taupe clutch.

If this dress looks a little familiar to you, that’s because Victoria Beckham wore something similar by the same designer last year.

I’m so loving seeing Elie Saab on the red carpet so often lately, and I hope we get to see more tomorrow.

Marcia Cross arrived at this event looking sensational wearing a lilac Elie Saab Spring 2009 Couture gown, which sparkled with many embellishments. The gown had cap sleeves and a gorgeous floral detail on the empire waist.

She completed her look with a complementary silver Daniel Swarovski clutch.

Christina Ricci LBD from the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2009 collection had a asymmetrical ruffled detailing, which did not over power her, nor the dress.

Her look was complete with tan Christian Louboutin pumps, and black satin clutch.

Her blunt bangs and red lips just perfect this look for me.

I’m so surprised Emily Blunt picked this dress, because I don’t think it flatters her at all.

My main problem is the pleated bodice and the jeweled detail on the waist.

Eva Longoria always wears bright vivid colours, so this chocolate brown Reem Acra dress is a surprise.

I hope to see a return to bright colours soon.

Like I said last time, Sienna Miller has lost her appeal. Nothing feels fresh or new with her anymore.

Starting with that hairstyle. Haven’t we seen that look a million times before?

I really dislike the colour, and the material of her Ungaro gown also.

Carice Van Houten wore a black and white graphic print Jay Godfrey halter-neck maxi dress.

I’m not quite sure what has happened to Reese Witherspoon.

After her split with Ryan Philippe she wowed us time after time on the red carpet. Lately I always feel so underwhelmed by her choices.

This Dior LBD is cute enough, but she just lacked pizazz.

Lily Collins teal column gown, had a embellished detail on the empire waist, but it failed to impress me.

Anna Friel should have really taken the subtle hint from her Viktor & Rolf Fall 2008 dress which was telling her. NO.

No this will not look good on you.

My other problem is that Anna should have really considered a bra, because the twins are not holding up too well, and they’re also smuggling raisins.

The black statement one-shouldered gown over a nude underlay, was embellished with staples.

On the plus side, her hair and make-up was really nice.

Courtney Love wore my favourite dress from the Givenchy Spring 2009 Couture show I attended a few weeks ago.

I am glad that someone with a bit of character and attitude wore this gown, because only someone like her or Madonna can pull this off.

The long draped black gown has a shrug with puff ball shoulders, which are embellished with flower petals, that work their way down the sleeves.

Freida Pinto wore a black Chanel Resort 2009 dress, with a floral embellished see-through yoke.

I am not a fan of sheer yoke’s, but I would have preferred it to this plastic yoke.

She completed the look with gorgeous black strappy heels, whilst styling her hair in a chic updo.

Unfortunately, I don’t like this look. Maybe the runway belt would have helped, but I think I’m just clutching at straws.

My ray of shining light Thandie Newton didn’tt let me down. The British actress made a welcome return to the red carpet.

Last night she wore a multi-coloured Jonathan Saunders Spring 2009 floaty dress with a layered skirt.

She wore her dress with gold strappy sandals, and added a touch of crimson to her lips.

As much as I love Thandie, she has made 4 recent red carpet appearances, but her hairstyle has remained the same. Maybe she is having a bad hair week, but she needs to switch it up for next time.

Alexa Chung opted to wear a navy dress, which is very similar to the Chanel dress Emma Watson wore recently.

Sienna Miller like Marion Cotillard, was one of my red carpet favourites. But when I look at her in this ruffled green Matthew Williamson dress, and Louis Vuitton black tuxedo jacket with feathered shoulders, I just say meh! so what?

It just doesn’t move me. She just doesn’t move me anymore.

The gorgeous and impeccably dress Naomie Harris, walked the red carpet wearing a Dolce & Gabbana black strapless corset dress.

Singer Heidi Range wore RM by Roland Mouret ensemble which included an off-the-shoulder top. She accessorized with black peep-toes, a black clutch and a gigantic black bangle.

She was accompanied to the event by her boyfriend presenter Dave Berry.

Pixie Geldof’s LWD exposes the fact that her deodorant has run out.

Roisin Murphy has to be wearing the widest pants I have ever seen.

They’re from the Armand Basi One Spring 2009 collection, and her top is from the Givenchy Spring 2009 collection.

Alexandra Burke is new to the red carpet after winning the X Factor before Christmas.

I’m sure she already has a hair and make-up team, who are doing a fairly good job, but she needs to fire her stylist.

This nautical inspired black and white striped sequined D&G Spring 2009 tunic with a red sail boat, gets nil points from me.

Matthew Williamson’s show was one of my favourite shows of the entire Spring 2009 season. I covet every piece that was presented.

Radio and TV presenter Edith Bowman made really hard work of this Spring 2009 graphic print dress.

She made it look so frumpy, and totally undesirable.

On the plus side Natalie Imbruglia has returned to her natural roots.

The negative is her RM by Roland Mouret Chevalier fitted jacket and black pants.

It was an attempt at something new which I respect, but I would urge her to stick to cute dresses and flowing gowns.

This does not suit her at all.

Alice Dellal no doubt turned heads in this see-through black dress with fishnet tights.
