Shu Qi In Valentino – Bvlgari Festa Event

After an impressive run during Beijing International Film Festival, Shu Qi was back on the red carpet for the Bvlgari Festa event today (April 27) in Hong Kong, China.

What I instantly realised is that all the colour and flare she brought to the Film Festival, gave way to all black for this occasion.

In this case her Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 dress was not only incredibly chic, but totally functional.

The all black hue provided the perfect backdrop for those emerald jewels be the main attraction, as did the square scalloped neckline, as it allowed Shu to beautifully showcases her Bvlgari necklace.

Shu Qi In Elie Saab & Blumarine – 2018 Beijing International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Shu Qi was a vision at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Beijing International Film Festival on Sunday (April 22) in China. She joined Isabelle Huppert.

The actress captivated in not one but two romantic ensembles.

Firstly, she wore an Elie Saab Fall 2018 dress. It was a delight of details. The swirling pattern on the skirt was cut to reveal a bolder floral print. The bodice was just as ornate with its frilly Victorian inspiration and lace fabric flecked with red dots.

With so much already going on, she was wise to remove the scarf from the runway. I would have also taken off the white belt and left off the chandelier earrings.

The romance continued with a Blumarine Resort 2018 gown. The pale yellow stunner had as much detail work as the previous look, but presented a more harmonious finish because it focused on the feathery fringing.

The off-the-shoulder neckline increased the charm and balanced the textured skirt.

Shu Qi In Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci – 2018 Beijing International Film Festival

Shu Qi was at the 2018 Beijing International Film Festival in Beijing, China over the weekend, attending two events.

First, the actress attended the ‘Tiantan Award’ jury press conference on Friday (April 13). It would be hard to overlook the blatant romantic quality of this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 design that featured a Cupid motif across its diaphanous layers. The statement earrings were likely unnecessary for the softer side of this dressing gown-inspired style—that, or a sleek bun would have helped de-clutter the neckline.

Shu Qi In Elie Saab – Bvlgari Press Breakfast At Baselworld 2018

Shu Qi joined Laura Harrier for the Bvlgari Press Breakfast at Baselworld 2018 on Wednesday morning (March 21) in Basel, Switzerland.

While Laura took a youthfully romantic turn for the occasion, Shu was interested in a more graphic, retro-forward stance in these Elie Saab Spring 2018 daywear separates that could have easily been mistaken for a jumpsuit.

I can understand the selection of the leisurely, wide-leg silhouette for a morning occasion—yet, the boldly patterned, neon-green pieces certainly stood out and would be nothing if not an audacious wake-up call.

I’m sure she’s showing off a Bvlgari timepiece on her wrist.

Shu Qi In Elie Saab Couture – 54th Golden Horse Awards Ceremony

Aside from Jessica Chastain, there were plenty more princess moments to be had at the Golden Horse Awards ceremony on Saturday (November 25) in Taipei, Taiwan.

Shu Qi had the ultimate fairy tale moment wearing an Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture gown.

Do you feel this ivory colour is washing Shu Qi out?

I don’t believe so.

I think someone with blonde hair would’ve found it hard to pull this colour off, but I adore this look on Shu, especially with the additional lining which allows the embellishments to shine just as brightly as the sheer runway look.

Shu Qi In Giorgio Armani – Armani Lipstick Maestro Event

Taiwanese actress Shu Qi made the case for pure drama at the Armani Lipstick Maestro event in Taipei, Taiwan on Thursday (July 13).

Donning a Giorgio Armani Fall 2017 pouf-sleeve gown and opera gloves, she took the original runway variation and modeled it with a different form of theatrical glamour.

By virtue of wearing this dress in monochromatic black, she allowed its shape and statement sleeves to command the sophisticated elegance they deserve.

But, as this was a lipstick event, her perfectly, bold-red pout had just as much of a starring role, with her fascinating geometric earrings enhancing it all the more.
