Shu Qi In Elie Saab Couture – 54th Golden Horse Awards Ceremony

Aside from Jessica Chastain, there were plenty more princess moments to be had at the Golden Horse Awards ceremony on Saturday (November 25) in Taipei, Taiwan.

Shu Qi had the ultimate fairy tale moment wearing an Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture gown.

Do you feel this ivory colour is washing Shu Qi out?

I don’t believe so.

I think someone with blonde hair would’ve found it hard to pull this colour off, but I adore this look on Shu, especially with the additional lining which allows the embellishments to shine just as brightly as the sheer runway look.

Shu Qi In Giorgio Armani – Armani Lipstick Maestro Event

Taiwanese actress Shu Qi made the case for pure drama at the Armani Lipstick Maestro event in Taipei, Taiwan on Thursday (July 13).

Donning a Giorgio Armani Fall 2017 pouf-sleeve gown and opera gloves, she took the original runway variation and modeled it with a different form of theatrical glamour.

By virtue of wearing this dress in monochromatic black, she allowed its shape and statement sleeves to command the sophisticated elegance they deserve.

But, as this was a lipstick event, her perfectly, bold-red pout had just as much of a starring role, with her fascinating geometric earrings enhancing it all the more.

Shu Qi In Valentino – 2015 Bazaar Star Charity Night

Shu Qi In Valentino - 2015 Bazaar Star Charity Night

Shu Qi attended the 2015 Bazaar Star Charity Night at China World Summit Wing on Wednesday (September 23) in Beijing, China.

Demonstrating flawless elegance and serving up minimalist glamour, her Valentino Resort 2016 red cape gown surely made for a dramatic entrance.

Even after countless versions of this style taking to the red carpet, the allure of a cape gown is not lost on me. This is simply breath-taking.

Shu Qi In Versace – ‘The Assassin’ Hong Kong Photocall

Shu Qi In Versace - 'The Assassin' Hong Kong Photocall

Shu Qi attended ‘The Assassin’ photocall which was held during the opening ceremony of 2015 Summer International Film Festival on Tuesday (August 11) in Hong Kong, China.

Usually one to opt for pretty, lady-like dresses, Shu opted to flip the script by wearing sultry Versace Pre-Fall 2015 dress.

I love this new edgier direction which incorporates colour-blocking, metal accents and asymmetrical lines.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love this look anymore, my eyes fell to her gorgeous red suede pumps.

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better…Chloe Grace Moretz or Shu Qi?

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better Chloe Grace Moretz or Shu Qi

Chloe Grace Moretz was the first to wear this youthful Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2015 dress with plenty of boho flair while attending the Vanity Fair Oscar party back in February.

Shu Qi wore the same dress last month while attending a photocall for ‘Nie Yinniang’ (‘The Assassin’) during Cannes Film Festival.

While I prefer Chloe’s shoe choice, I’m not a fan of the necklace so Shu Qi wins for me.

Shu Qi In Alexander McQueen - 'Nie Yinniang' Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Shu Qi was in very good spirits while attending her photocall for ‘Nie Yinniang’ (‘The Assassin’) during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 21) in Cannes, France.

The actress wore an Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2015 off shoulder embroidered dress accented with the brands signature leather black waist belt.

Before you begin to roll your eyes at yet another black dress at a photocall, consider the delightful meadow print and velvet appliqués which adds plenty of charm to this look, and the nude pumps which prevent this look from feeling too heavy.

I’m sure many of you will remember that Chloe Moretz wore this same dress to the Vanity Fair Party back in November.

Shu Qi In Stéphane Rolland Couture – Bulgari ‘LVCEA’ Launch Event

Shu Qi In Stéphane Rolland Couture - Bulgari ‘LVCEA’ Launch Event

Shu Qi attended the Bulgari ‘LVCEA’ Launch Event on Wednesday (September 3) in Beijing, China.

I love this ultra-feminine interpretation of the classic tuxedo, which was conjured up by French Couturier Stéphane Rolland.

The Spring 2014 ensemble came in two parts: a long ivory dress with a white bib and collar, complete with elegant tailcoat blazer adding much refinement to the look.

Actually, the word elegant doesn’t seem to do this look much justice, as it is on another level of elegance. I think this has to be one of her best ever looks.

The timepiece only gets a pass here because that is what Shu was promoting, but the red bracelet, which matches her juicy red lip, doesn’t.
