Best Dressed Award
After the CFDA Awards red carpet, the CMT Awards didn’t have as many wow moments.

Jennifer Nettles was by a very long mile the Best Dressed for me.

The singer glowed in a champagne Rachel Roy Fall 2009 strapless bustier dress.

I love the asymmetrical hem line, the gathered detail around the hips and way she elegantly styled her hair.

The only downsides for me were the clutch and the tie-dye Brian Atwood pumps.

Predictable, but Still Cute Award
Taylor Swift loves to sparkle on these occasions and she did wearing a Collette Dinnigan Resort 2009 mini with shoestring straps and a tiered skirt.

Her look was perfected with a pair of metallic Prada jeweled platform heels, and her hair elegantly swept back into a side bun.

Best Use of Colour Award
Singer and dancer Julianne Hough opted for a tiered coral Jenny Packham Spring 2009 cocktail dress.

The colour is gorgeous on her, she really stands out on this red carpet.

I love embellished details on the neckline.

Her look was completed with champagne coloured Guiseppe Zanotti heels which had a jewel detail.

Most Surprising Award
I’m glad Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson opted for this cute Elizabeth & James blue floral strapless tulip dress.

Just because she has a very athletic figure it doesn’t mean she can’t wear this floaty, ethereal look.

I would’ve loved to have seen her hair pulled back.

Best Rock Chick Award
Sheryl Crow wore a black tuxedo jacket and a cowl neck black top, but she added leather pants, studded heels and a necklace featuring mini skulls to toughen up her sexy look.

Expected More Award
Martina McBride opted for a grey tunic dress with an embellished neckline which looks fabulous on her but normally the singer goes all out.

This feel like something she just threw on.

Worst Colour Award
Whilst almost everyone else opted minis to show off their summer tanned and toned legs, Kellie Pickler opted for a Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2009 gown.

I love the embellished neckline and the cut of the dress does wonders for her figure, but this has to be the worst possible colour.

She should have opted for something more bright and colourful to match her sparkling personality.

Worst Hair Award
I’m not particularly loving the high neck long sleeve nature of this dress, but what I really don’t like Laura Bell Bundy hair.

I’m not sure if they are hair extension - although they very much look like it - but the style is quite hideous.

Worst Dressed Award
Model Karolina Kurkova wore a black Azzaro Gentleman’s Tux dress with Aldo ‘Seace’ black leather ankle boots.

For a premiere, screening, or gallery opening in New York this would have worked, but for the CMT Awards cute colourful sparkling dresses are almost mandatory. This work doesn’t work for me at all for this event.

Gwyneth Paltrow was dressed in all white, barring her pink and yellow Roger Vivier heels.

The actress wore a Balmain Spring 2009 jacket with satin lapels, over a white plunging Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2009 dress, which had contrasting fabrics of velvet, satin and jersey.

Even though her clothes are all current, she is oozing a retro vibe.

I love the invisible make-up.

Gwynie’s BFF Beyonce Knowles arrived wearing a black fitted Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2007 Couture dress, with a black beaded multiple layered necklace.

The only thing sparkling here, are the jewel details on her heels.

I don’t like this at all.

I almost fell off my chair when I saw that Jennifer Aniston’s BFF was NOT wearing black.

Courteney Cox took a break for the norm, to wear this L’Wren Scott metallic spaghetti strapped dress, with matching heels.

I think Dakota Fanning or Miley Cyrus would better suit this haltered black mini dress, with a white bow tie, than Sheryl Crow.

Rita Wilson brought a water brust of colour to the red carpet, in her aqua strapless dress.

She wore the dress with a stunning Lanvin statement necklace, but sadly her pointy pumps let her down.

Angie Harmon’s grey Kaufman Franco jersey dress hugs her in all the right places.

Best Dressed Award
Pretty pink strapless gowns seem to be the order of the day. First worn by Freida Pinto at the BAFTAs, now this gorgeous pink Basil Soda gown has been worn by Katy Perry.

The structure of the gown is exquisite, as I have come to appreciate from Lebanese designers.

The satin ruffle piece on the front of the gown doesn’t bother me, the retro hair fits the look, the pink lips are simply divine, and the subtle Jacob & Co jewels don’t over cook this look.

Most Unexpected Award
When I saw Jennifer Hudson arrive on the red carpet wearing a colour-block RM by Roland Mouret Trenet high neck dress I must admit I was very shocked.

If there was a line of 100 dresses, I would have picked this last for her, but she more than does it justice - and this is not any kind of sympathy vote.

This really is a statement dress, with 3 tones including a white high neck bodice, a grey contrast pleated peplum around the waist, and a dark navy pencil skirt.

Thankfully the hair is pulled back to show off the dress, and her blue suede shoes are Christian Louboutin Declic Suede Pumps. I personally would have preferred a strappy sandal.

Best One-Shouldered Dress Award
Zooey Deschanel stepped out of the box, and tried something new with this cute lilac Luella Spring 2009 dress.

There is much going on with the chiffon layer, the floral appliqué on the shoulder, and the skirt with the draped detail, but this does not overwhelm Zooey.

She wears this dress very confidently, and it suits her kooky style.

The lilac tights I like, the black peep-toes I don’t like.

Best Strapless & Ruffles Award
Sara Bareilles also wore a pink strapless dress from the Luisa Beccaria Spring 2009 collection. It’s so angelic, and I love the red accents.

She completes her look with a Daniel Swarovski silver clutch.

Most Improved Award
After her Cavalli dress at the Pre-Grammy party, Miley Cyrus couldn’t get any worst.

I was pleasantly surprised in her choice of this charming Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2008 asymmetrical gown, and I loved her hairstyle too.

Miley seemed very calm on the red carpet. No over-the-top poses, no obnoxious comments. I was very impressed by her maturity.

What No Bling? Award
Miley’s new BFF Taylor Swift, love for embellished dress was replaced by this Kaufman Franco black jersey gown, with wrap around patent leather strapping.

Continues To Be One To Watch Award
Kim Kardashian’s white/silver Toni Maticevski Spring 2009 dress was very cute, sassy and not at all trashy choice.

I love the organza detailing, which gives the dress a lot of shape and definition.

She worked her look with a pair of silver Christian Louboutin Fortuna slingbacks.

Best Use of Colour Award
I love a burst of colour on the red carpet, and Letoya Luckett certain provide it, with her fuchsia pink mini dress, multi-coloured snake-skin clutch and baby blue pumps.

Best Asymmetrical Gown Award
Looking a lot less bronze than she did the day before, Sheryl Crow looked amazing wearing a water-mix blue Toni Maticevski gown.

I love the slightly ruched bodice.

Golden Girl Award
Carrie Underwood glowed on the red carpet in a gold beaded tulle slip gown from the Zuhair Murad Resort 2009 collection, which she wore with a matching golden Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

I knew she could not stay away from this type of look for long.

It Should Not Have Worked, But It Did Award
Janelle Monae’s equestrian themed look was very charming.

I especially loved the white high collared pleated blouse.

Better With The Coat On Award
Anna Wintour was styling Adele for this event, so there were high hopes.

The Barbara Tfank LBD was nice enough, but I loved the look with the green coat.

Best Colour Block Award
LeAnn Rimes’ Philosophy Spring 2009 dress is so cute, I have to own it.

I love the cerulean blue top half, the heavily embellished waist, and the chiffon khaki skirt. Such a young and fresh look for the singer.

Best Re-Run Award
Iman has already worn this Rachel Roy Spring 2009 strapless dress, which had a embellished bodice and a tulip skirt. Jennifer Nettles wears it equally well.

Just OK Award
Apart from the Princess Leia hair style Audrina Patridge looks nice enough wearing a teal Tadashi strapless column gown with pleated bodice.

The Hills star walked the carpet Hans Solo.

“The Golden Compass” Premiere, Japan

J’adore Nicole Kidman in this white silk embroidered dress from Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2008 collection.

This is the best I have seen her since her red Balenciaga dress at the Oscars last year.

She is glowing.

Saks Fifth Avenue’s Unforgettable Evening honors Hilary Swank, New York

Hilary Swank’s Jill Stuart Fall 2008 dress is nice, but she has been styled to look too old.

I would have preferred if Valentino Spring 2008 dress that Angie Harmon is wearing, did not have the mesh part and was strapless. She looks fab anyway.

Mary J Blige matches her golden hair with this golden Michael Kors dress.

“Vantage Point” Premiere, New York

Zoe Saldana was one of the many faces to appear on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue.

She attended this event wearing a black satin YSL Spring 2008 mini dress, with a white multi-coloured starred collar.

W Magazines Hollywood Affair, LA

I am in lust with Michelle Trachtenberg striped sequined halter dress. I especially love the feathers on the hem.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008 Presentation, Milan

Naomi Campbell went casual in jeans, a white blazer and a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2008 Steven McQueen black and white t-shirt.

I love these Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2008 jacquard pants. I am not sure I could get away with them, but Sheryl Crow does, she looks amazing here.

Had she wore the whole suit, I would have had reservations.

Lindsay Lohan always looks like she has a dirty face, which is due to badly applied fake tan or badly applied make-up.

Speaking of badly applied fake tan, her legs are shocking. They are about 3 different shades.

Fergie only ever seems to impress me at major red carpet events. I am not feeling this at all.

Monica Bellucci looks so sexy, despite not trying in this masculine tuxedo.

“Penelope” Premiere, LA

I love this laid back look on Reese Witherspoon, and I am especially in love with those aubergine pumps.

I am not so crazy about Christina Ricci in this satin striped Jasmine Di Milo Spring 2008 dress.
