ABC Family’s 2015 Upfront Presentation

ASHLEY BENSON, TROIAN BELISSARIO, LUCY HALE, SHAY MITCHELL (Pretty Little Liars)

The girls of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ were at ABC Family’s upfront event held on Tuesday (April 14) at SIR Stage 37 in New York City, where the pretty young things coordinated beautifully in black and white.

Ashley Benson: Bold aqua gemstone earrings and metallic pumps ignited her modern A.L.C. Spring 2015 white jumpsuit with side cutouts that combined mannish lines with feminine detail. Shame about the creases.

Troian Bellisario: The deep plunge in Troian’s black dress assured that the girly baby-doll silhouette and twirl skirt was all grown up, too. That said, the frock would have benefited from sassier styling. As presented, the long pendant necklace and pattern pumps fell flat.

Lucy Hale: Also opting for an all-black ensemble, Lucy wore an Elizabeth and James ruffled top and pencil skirt paired with strappy sandals. I loved this look for its effortless simplicity and flirty sophistication, which was only enhanced by her cute crimped bob and radiant rose-toned makeup.

Shay Mitchell: Splitting the difference, Shay selected a black and white look that also worked the masculine-feminine angle with a sexy AQ/AQ plunge bodysuit and Sass & Bide wide-leg trousers, all enhanced with an embellished belt.

I love the pop of Ashley’s earrings, but Lucy’s ensemble won me over for its chic simplicity. Which look caught your eye?

Vanity Fair Celebrates Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Celebrates Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other celebs who attended the Vanity Fair celebration of Young Hollywood held at No Vacancy on Tuesday (February 17) in Los Angeles, California.

Courtney Eaton: The young actress, dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Resort 2015, was one of the few to pique my interest at this event. Contemporary and colourful in design, this look wasn’t as predictable as the others.

Emily Ratajkowski: Speaking of predictable, the ‘Gone Girl’ actress served up a gorgeous eggplant Cushine et Ochs Pre-Fall 2015 jumpsuit, which of course featured cut-outs, styled with a Lee Savage ‘180 Stack’ clutch and silver Brian Atwood ‘Melly’ pumps.

Sarah Hyland: The ‘Modern Family’ star decided to take a more prim approach, which for me isn’t a great representation of her usual style, but I don’t hate the Dsquared² look. I perhaps like her accessories, which included Nicholas Kirkwood pumps and a Charlotte Olympia clutch, more than her dress though.

Hair Trend Spotting: Messy Braided Ponytails

Hair Trend Spotting Messy Braided Ponytails

Keeping your locks under control in the humid weather has never been easy; however, Nina Dobrev, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell found the perfect solution for their red carpet looks at the Teen Choice Awards: braided ponytails.

Last year braids were worn as tight and as sleek as possible, whereas this spring braids are going to be the complete opposite as this trend is more laidback and relaxed, reliving the romantic medieval style.

Opting for long, chunky, messy and romantic braids shows a much more youthful approach to a classic updo.

Other stars who have championed the messy, romantic braid this year, during Cannes, include Blake Lively and Eva Longoria.

Here’s how to create the look.

Create a side part and add texture with a wide-barrel curling iron, making sure to curl from the top. Lightly tease hair at the crown, then split your hair into two sections.

Keeping your hair on the side of the part, begin to braid by pulling a bit of hair from the outside of one section over to the centre of the other section, then repeat for the other side and continue until your braid is the desired length.

Once you’ve reached the bottom, fasten the braid with an elastic. Loosen the braid by lightly tugging on outer sections throughout.

Shay Mitchell In Misha Collection – 2014 Teen Choice Awards

Shay Mitchell In Misha Collection - 2014 Teen Choice Awards

Shay Mitchell worked her most sultry of poses on the red carpet for the 2014 Teen Choice Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (August 10) in Los Angeles, California.

The pretty actress wore a Misha Collection Fall 2014 white lace bustier with a matching sheer-hem pencil skirt to add a touch of sex appeal to the proceedings.

Adding metallic accessories, including her Jimmy Choo pumps and rose-gold Rodo Swarovski-clasp clutch, she styled the look with a purposely messy braid and deep rouge lip colour for contrast.

I think she totally nailed the look. Do you?

This look has been previous worn by Kim Kardashian.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Celebrates 100 Episodes

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Celebrates 100 Episodes

The stars of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ celebrated 100 episodes of the show at W Hollywood on Saturday (May 31) in Hollywood, California.

Lucy Hale: The actress looked very pretty wearing a Tanya Taylor printed crop top and pencil skirt styled with maroon sandals. I would’ve loved this to have been more summery, but it’s a cute look nonetheless.

Shay Mitchell: Always on hand to bring out the va-va-voom, the actress donned a sexy Cushnie et Ochs LBD with signature cuts, which she styled with nude Manolo Blahnik pumps. You may remember that Jennifer Lopez has also worn this dress, as has Rocsi Diaz.

Shay Mitchell In Sachin + Babi – LA Celebrity MS Walk Kick Off Event

Shay Mitchell In Sachin + Babi - LA Celebrity MS Walk Kick Off Event

Shay Mitchell attended the LA Celebrity MS Walk Kick Off Event at SupperClub Los Angeles on Monday (March 24) in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress wore a cute white crop top from Sachin + Babi’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection, which she styled with a black fitted pencil skirt and Louboutin pumps.

I have really enjoyed Shay’s red carpet looks in recent times; she’s really come into her own.

However, on this occasion I much prefer the dual-colour flared skirt that the top was paired with in the look-book picture.
