Shailene Woodley In Christopher Kane – 2012 Independent Spirit Awards

‘Best Supporting Female’ winner, Shailene Woodley, walked the red carpet at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, California on Saturday evening, before accepting her award later in the night.

Shailene went for a casual chic look pairing black skinnies with in Christopher Kane Spring 2012 gold and pink embellished floral top.

Gold capped Louboutin ‘Duvette’ pumps add a touch of glam, although she quickly slipped into black flats after walking the red carpet.

A sleek ponytail and barely-there, if any, makeup completes the look.

I love how she got the tone and mood of this event totally right with this look.

Shailene Woodley In Chanel – BAFTA Nominees Party

Shailene Woodley was in London on Saturday evening, where she attended the BAFTA Nominees Party.

The young actress opted for a classic Chanel mini print dress which she teamed with black tights and ankle boots.

It’s hard to find fault with Chanel, but I wish the dress maintained a bit of a looser fit, especially over such opaque stockings.

On the plus side she looks young, fresh and pout-free.

Shailene’s standard simple pony finishes the look.

Shailene Woodley In Dolce & Gabbana – 2012 BAFTA Awards

Shailene Woodley went for a ballerina-meets-princess look at the 2012 BAFTA Awards which took place in London this evening.

The young actress wore a blush-pink Dolce & Gabbana tulle gown with floral appliqués.

Shailene not only switched up her usual ponytail in favour of a sleek topknot, but the fresh-faced beauty also opted for a vibrant lavender lippie.

I love her hair and makeup, but I would’ve preferred a classic simple bun to a top knot.

The simple look was styled with minimal jewelry.

Shailene Woodley In 3.1 Phillip Lim – 27th Annual Santa Barbara Film Festival

Revelling in her first awards season, Shailene Woodley stopped by the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Friday.

Taking a breather from the more formal award shows’ dress code, Shailene wore a simple navy 3.1 Phillip Lim leather shift dress from the Resort 2012 collection.

The tough dress was paired with dainty nude Pierre Hardy sandals.

Shailene is all about minimalism on the red carpet, but I would have loved to have seen one stand-out accessory added to this outfit.

How amazing would a statement necklace have looked?

Natural hair and makeup finish the look.

Vanity Fair March 2012 Hollywood Issue

Vanity Fair’s March 2012 issue, which is the annual Hollywood Issue, features eleven of the most up-and-coming actresses who were shot by Mario Testino.

The main cover features Rooney Mara, Jennifer Lawrence, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain.

After the fold we have Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins and Brit Marling.

There are always great debates that go on with regards to this cover every year.

I would’ve swapped Mia with Elizabeth and had her on the main cover, and I’m not sure Paula should be considered up-and-coming as she’s been around for a while. Also Shailene is totally unrecognisable.

Each actress wore a pastel-coloured satin dress for the 20s boudoir-themed shoot with screen-siren hairstyles and bold lip colours.

They all look great, but Jennifer steals the cover for me as she’s in full-on bombshell mode. Very Jessica Rabbit.

Here are some extracts from their interviews:

Jessica on her superstar crush:The English Patient. Of course. Those love scenes!”

Jennifer on who else she’s like to work with: “I’d love to work with the Cohen brothers. Tommy Lee Jones. Jack Nicholson. And I’d love to work with Renee Zellweger. I’m a huge Renee Zellweger fan.”

Rooney on her crush growing up: “Thom Yorke.”

Jennifer on her childhood crush: “When I was little, like 90s, era, I had such a big crush on Justin Timberlake from *NSYNC that I almost thew up.”

Shailene Woodley In L’Wren Scott – 2012 SAG Awards

Shailene Woodley continues to be one of my favourite young stars to watch on the red carpet.

The young actress chose a bold look for the 2012 SAG Awards by wearing a L’Wren Scott Spring 2012 gown.

The pale grey column gown with a white-and-red floral print stood out amongst a sea of grey/off-white dresses.

Shailene let the dress speak for itself by opting for no stand-out accessories, barely-there makeup and a ponytail.

Do you like this understated look or did she not put enough effort into it?

Shailene Woodley In Valentino – 2012 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Shailene Woodley also attended the 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards, which took place on Saturday evening in Hollywood, California.

The young actress wore a Valentino Spring 2012 gown.

As her red crochet gown was totally see-through she also wore a strapless two-tone mini dress underneath.

Whilst Diane Kruger sported a similar look last week, it matched.

On this occasion I wish the strapless dress had been less fussy and a bit longer. A simple nude long slip dress is another option.

That being said her youthful take is more interesting and I think she manages to pull it off.

Barely-there makeup and a braided ponytail side-swept ponytail completed her look.

Yay or nay on the strapless two-tone dress as an underlay?
