Serena Williams In Narciso Rodriguez – Late Show with David Letterman

Serena Williams In Narciso Rodriguez - Late Show with David Letterman

Serena Williams was also spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City yesterday making a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ as she gears up for the US Open, which kick-starts on August 26.

Going in seeded as the women’s number one, the tennis ace looked smashing upon arrival wearing a sexy Narciso Rodriguez leather v-neck dress which hugged every curve.

The dress, which featured tonal seam detailing, was amped up several notches with black-and-white strappy Aperlai sandals with a yellow ankle strap.

Serena’s style is very hit and miss, this being firmly in the hit category. Both her hair and makeup (occasionally her Achilles heel) are flawless on this occasion.

Ace or double fault?

Serena Williams In Burberry London – Pre-Wimbledon Party

Serena Williams In Burberry London - Pre-Wimbledon Party

Serena Williams attended the annual pre-Wimbledon party held at Kensington Roof Gardens in London.

I love that this annual event gives the athletic a chance to dress up in pretty frocks, because the most glamorous things they will be wearing for the next few weeks will be all-whites with logos by Nike, Reebok or Adidas.

Serena, who is the favourite to lift the Championship trophy in a fortnight for a sixth time, gave us no surprises by wearing a Burberry look, as she has done every year at this event.

She selected a Burberry London curve-hugging white sheath dress with white corset piping and contrasting black-leather piping, which she styled with complementary Burberry animal-print calfskin sandals.

I really wanted to support her decision to rock a clutch in a bold turquoise hue, but it doesn’t go with any part of her look and feels like an afterthought.

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2014 Menswear Front Row

Burberry Prorsum Menswear

After a decade in Milan, British designer Christopher Bailey moved the Burberry Prorsum Menswear show back to home turf, as he sent a set of best-dressed boys down the Spring 2014 runway today at Kensington Gardens in London, England. An eclectic group was seated front row, with many rocking their own interpretations of the brand.

Douglas Booth: The young English actor turned on his boyish charm with this casual Burberry ensemble, as he rolled up the sleeves of his denim-blue blazer. The floral-print, cerulean-blue shirt echoed some of the brighter hues seen on the runway, but his dark, baggy pants and unpolished black lace-up shoes brought down the look a bit.

Serena Williams: The tennis ace simultaneously flaunted and covered her curves in top-to-toe Burberry, donning a Burberry London fuchsia body-con minidress mixed with a classic stone-coloured trench. She styled the look with animal-print, calfskin T-bar sandals and a tote bag, covered in black hearts. A pulled-back ‘do, rather than her super-long locks, may have delivered a more polished effect.

Tinie Tempah: The British rapper also got in touch with his animal instincts with a Burberry giraffe-print, black-and-white shirt worn with the brand’s black cropped leg pants and shiny patent shoes. The bold black frames of his glasses added another dose of cool factor to his standout entrance.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Mar Saura In Oscar de la Renta & Serena Williams In Victoria Beckham

Mar Saura was your best dressed this week, looking breathtaking wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown.

The nude embellished and feather-accented gown styled with complementary accessories was a worthy winner indeed.

I went for Serena Williams, despite hating her shoes.

Like many of you said, this is the best she has ever looked and a true testament that Victoria Beckham’s dresses are indeed designed for every type of woman.

Serena Williams In Victoria Beckham – Late Show With David Letterman

Serena Williams looked stunning as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City yesterday for her guest appearance on ‘Late Show With David Letterman’.

The Wimbledon and Olympic tennis champion wore a Victoria Beckham dress for the occasion.

Her fitted dress with a V-neckline was accented with a grosgrain black waistband. It exudes elegance, so I’m really disappointed, once again, that she opted for such awful footwear.

These black embellished Christian Louboutin Decorapump (similar to the ‘Daffodile’ pumps) are so out of tune with the rest of her look.

Simple black ‘Pigalle’ pumps, though predictable, would’ve been much preferred.

Gorgeous voluminous curly hair and flawless makeup provided the finishing touches.

Yay or nay on Serena’s ‘Daffodiles’?
