Selena Gomez In Valentino Couture – Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’

Selena Gomez joined Nicki Minaj for Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’ on Friday (September 8) in New York City.

Unlike Nicki, Selena channeled the charms of minimalism in a Valentino Fall 2017 Couture ballet-pink sheath dress.

This look would have been nothing had it not been for the bolder styling, so I have to give it to her for bringing the look alive.

The cherry-red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and Kelly-green Coach clutch brought a cool, modern spin to the simplicity of the dress.

Perhaps she was extending that mod vibe to her hair, but it came across rather maturely than a sleeker ’do would have.

Selena Gomez Rocks Rouje out in New York City

Selena Gomez was spotted out in New York City on Tuesday (September 5).

Her Rouje frock had a darling and effortless ladylike femininity.

So, my question was, why pair the dress with an oversized, granny sweater?

The Louis Vuitton bright-white sneakers will likely raise an eyebrow or two, too, for their somewhat misplaced clunky, athletic spirit.

Naturally, she carried a red Coach x Selena ‘Grace’ handbag, with Roberi & Fraud sunnies rounding out the off-duty look.

Selena Gomez takes the most coveted Coach ‘Grace’ bag for a spin

The Coach, Selena Gomez journey started at the Met Gala, then she was unveiled as the face of the Fall 2017 ad campaign, and here we see the singer incorporate the brand into her everyday style.

First to get her hands on the new season pieces, she was spotted out in Los Angeles yesterday (August 24) wearing a Coach sugary pink unicorn sweater — which is the most millennial ‘it’ knit we’ve seen in some time.

The grey trousers, which had an office-appropriate feel to them, coordinated well with the look, however, I’m sure most will argue that the accessories didn’t.

Vintage Frames Company shades and a bright red Coach ‘Grace’ bag completed her look.

After a summer of playful looks, I really enjoy this more grown up street style outfit.

Selena Gomez steps out in LA in red and black Khaite

Aside from her Coach campaign launch and ‘Bad Liar’ promotion, it’s been a fairly quiet summer for Selena Gomez, so it was good to see her out and about in LA this weekend.

I love the bygone eras vibe I’m getting from this Khaite Resort 2018 look, which are basics elevated and refined creating a simple off-duty look.

She of course carried a Coach bag, with The Row loafers and Slow Factory ‘We The People’ necklace rounding out the look.

It’s a resounding yes, for the outfit and “meh” for the shoes and bag.

Selena Gomez Stars in Coach’s Fall 2017 Ad Campaign

We last saw Selena Gomez looking very loved up with The Weeknd at the 2017 Met Gala wearing a custom Coach design by Creative Director Stuart Vevers.

Fast forward a month and the actress/singer has been unveiled as the face of Coach’s Fall 2017 advertising campaign, following in the footsteps of Chloe Grace Moretz.

Shot by Steven Meisel, styled by Karl Templer and with hair and makeup by Guido Palau and Pat McGrath; Selena is portrayed as the Coach girl about to embark on a road trip.

Lounging in the blush-toned-leather interior of a 1976 Plymouth Fury—the vintage car, a recurring reference in Coach campaigns, symbolizes the freedom and endless possibility of the open road.

In the spotlight, aside from Selena herself, is the Coach Swagger bag, which is the brand’s new key bag silhouettes which I’m sure we’ll see many candids of Selena carrying in the future.

Selena Gomez In Jacquemus & Proenza Schouler – ‘Bad Liar’ LA Promotion

After her New York City run of five looks in a day, Selena Gomez hopped across the country to LA to continue the promo for ‘Bad Liar’ on Thursday (June 8).

To start the day, she again returned to the Jacquemus label that she wore so well in NYC. However, the second time wasn’t the charm here, as the stiff nature of the shirt in partnership with the strange line of the capri pants looked rather forced.

The unforgiving structure of the top was also primed and ready for a wardrobe malfunction with overzealous flashes of side-boob.

I found her second look, a Proenza Schouler plisse dress, to be far more effortless and pretty for the entertainer. The metallic accents made it special, with a fresh, girly ponytail to polish it off.

Tod’s sandals rounded out her look.

Selena Gomez Wears Five Looks In One Day To Promote ‘Bad Liar’

Selena Gomez was the pop queen of the wardrobe change, when she wore a record five looks in one day to promote her new track, ‘Bad Liar,’ on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

iHeartRadio Studios
: She started the day on a style high in this navy Jacquemus sleeveless wrap dress that I adored for its streamlined yet structured silhouette that was incredibly chic and flattering. Lucite-heeled Louis Vuitton sandals contributed to this new modern take on the bombshell.

SiriusXM Studios: The loose, sultry locks may have stayed, but this Victor Gelmaud design was more school uniform than sexy. In fact, with the intentional dropped black bodice and the long sleeves, it just looked a bit like an ill-fitting uniform at that. I did love the stellar coral lip.

‘Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show’
: Bringing that enviable coral hue from her lip to her dress, she donned a Christopher Kane slit design for her next look of the day. The same LV shoes made more sense with the black collar detail that was covered up by her locks.

Selena Gomez In Coach – 2017 Met Gala

Selena Gomez made an adorable showing at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City, with The Weeknd on her arm.

Bringing a hint of the boudoir to the blue carpet, she wore a ballet-pink Coach lace slip gown, sprinkled through with girly notes of embellishment.

I can only gather that the choker and that brash swipe of magenta eye shadow were both used as an attempt to bring an avant-garde edge to the sweeter side of this dress.

However, I wish she had skipped such strong styling components, as the punk-pretty juxtaposition just didn’t correspond at all.
