Runway To "Defiance" Germany Premiere – Satsuki Mitchell in Jenny Packham

Before I tear into this, I think it’s safe to say that it was never going to be easy to pull off this Jenny Packham Fall 2008 gown.

Jenny Packham is very much the go-to designer for sparkling, embellished red carpet gowns, and this nude ensemble with a black lace overlay, and a feather trim peplum at the waist, is very much a departure from what she usually presents.

Satsuki Mitchell wore this gown, when she attended yet another Defiance premiere, this time in Germany, with boyfriend Daniel Craig.

The ensemble is a cross between something that would have been worn on the Little House on the Prairie, or as I am sure regular commentator Leo would say – something an Amish bride would wear.

It does not flatter her, it only ages her. This is a very surprising, disappointing choice, which is made worse by not wearing the belt that it was presented with.

Runway To “Defiance” New York Screening – Satsuki Mitchell in Alexander McQueen

Satsuki Mitchell arrived with Daniel Craig to the New York screening of Defiance last night.

Daniel’s plus one, wore a very sexy strapless black Alexander McQueen side peplum dress, with Lanvin cone heel pumps.

The black crepe strapless has a structured corset with a contrast nude insert at the front which could give the impression that the dress has a very deep plunge.

Runway To "Defiance" London Premiere – Satsuki Mitchell In Louis Vuitton

When handing out my Best Of 2008 Awards, there was one Award I missed. Best Plus One, and I would have given the award to film producer Satsuki Mitchell.

Satsuki looked magnificent by Daniel Craig’s side for all the Quantum Of Solace premieres last year – and there were many. Last night they walked the red carpet in London for the premiere of Daniel’s new movie, Defiance.

What I love about Satsuki when she walks the red carpet, is that she never tries to stand out. She knows he is the star, and she never tries to break away and be photographed alone, like Sarah Larson did, when she walked the red carpet with George Clooney.

Wearing her hair back Satsuki was dressed in a Louis Vuitton Fall 2008 dress which had a peplum at the waist, and embellishments down the front. The dress was slightly modified from the runway version, which I think worked for her.
