amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles Red Carpet Roundup

amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the amfAR’s Inspiration Gala Los Angeles held at Milk Studios on Thursday (October 29) in Hollywood, California.

Chloe Sevigny: The hippie vibe of this Gucci Spring 2016 polka dot dress was the perfect fit for Chloe’s style. Gucci glitter pink sandals and a Gucci burgundy plexi clutch completed her look.

Sarah Hyland: The actress dazzled not only because of her Jenny Packham blush-pink gown, but also thanks to her Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I’m not always the biggest fan of dark lips with a light-hued gown, but Sarah is selling the look from head-to-toe here.

Emma Roberts: A painterly floral print enriches the classic silhouette of Emma’s Alexander McQueen Resort 2016 frock. While some might find the Kotur feathered clutch overkill, I think adds a spark of personality.

Sarah Paulson In Monique Lhuillier – ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ LA Premiere

Sarah Paulson In Monique Lhuillier - ‘American Horror Story Hotel’ LA Premiere

Sarah Paulson joined Lady Gaga on the red carpet for the premiere of FX’s ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on Saturday (October 3) in Los Angeles, California.

As you know, I was never a fan of Sarah’s twee phase, so this Monique Lhuillier Fall 2015 black metallic knit dress with structured shoulders sees her firmly back on the right track.

The ultra modern, sleek look was styled with all black accessories; channelling the right mood for this premiere.

Sarah Paulson In Prabal Gurung - 2015 Emmy Awards

Sarah Paulson attended the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 20) at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Leaving no sequin unturned, the ‘American Horror Story’ actress glimmered in a custom Prabal Gurung off-the-shoulder gown in midnight hues accessorized by a Rauwolf clutch.

Adding a sleek—some may say too severe—edge to the traditionally classic embellished dress, she styled her cropped ’do into a slickly straight form and painted on a red lip.

Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.

Sarah Paulson In Yanina Couture – FX’s ‘American Horror Story: Freakshow’ FYC Special Screening

Sarah Paulson In Yanina Couture - FX's 'American Horror Story Freakshow' FYC Special Screening

Sarah Paulson attended FX’s ‘American Horror Story: Freakshow’ FYC special screening held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (June 11).

The actress has been favouring darker colours, so I was delighted to see her in this sheer white Yanina Couture floral lace frock.

The colourful underpinnings of the dress were unexpected, as white would have been the norm, but she complemented the hues seamlessly with a hot fuchsia clutch and matching earrings.

Patent pink Kurt Geiger ‘Bond’ heels finished the look on a softer note, but she could have easily extended the bright colour to her shoes, as well.

2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Critics' Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

A crush of additional lovelies joined Charlize Theron and Cat Deeley at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (May 31) in Beverly Hills, California.

Angie Harmon: The actress was vibrant in a beautifully printed Christian Siriano Fall 2015 frock with a primly feminine tea-length skirt and a much sultrier, off-the-shoulder neckline that might have needed a nudge up. As is, it looks a bit close to a wardrobe malfunction.

Yvonne Strahovski
: The intense sky-blue hue of this Michael Kors Spring 2015 gown was enough to strike a beautiful chord in ‘The Astronaut Wives Club’ actress’s minimalistic silhouette. I love the additional punch of colour provided by the coral-red lip.

Anna Faris: Also opting for a sleekly simple aesthetic, Ana struck the right balance between subtle and striking with her ballet-pink ZAC Zac Posen Fall 2015 high-low dress. Keeping her accessories in line with the frock, she wore tonal Kurt Geiger London ‘Bond’ pumps and an Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch.

FOX Programming Presentation Red Carpet Roundup

FOX Programming Presentation Red Carpet Roundup

More stars joined Lea Michele and Cat Deeley at the 2015 FOX programming presentation at Wollman Rink in New York City’s Central Park on Monday (May 11).

Sarah Paulson: The ornamental floral embroidery and decorative scalloped neck and hem detailing on her Yanina Couture frock providing an interesting boost to the LBD. While I question the rather sombre nature, the flirty flared silhouette helped alleviate the mood and I did appreciate the pop of the geometric clutch and ruby lip. The one-sided hair was totally lost on me, though.

January Jones: I barely recognized the actress in this Tanya Taylor Fall 2015 black peplum dress with a shiny holographic print. Not satisfied to keep her flashy ways to her frock, she painted on a hot-pink lip, tied her blonde locks into a messy topknot, and wore a pair of silver metallic shoes.

Emma Roberts
: Also donning a black-themed ensemble, Emma took hers in an edgier, directional spirit with a Jonathan Simkhai netted top and skirt paired with an Amanda Wakeley clutch. The sleek updo and rose-tinged makeup added a chic finish to the tougher asymmetrical look.
