A few weeks ago Sarah Michelle Gellar arrived on the red carpet for the Opening of Juicy Couture’s flagship store in New York.

I was at first drawn to her freshly cut bangs, but then my focus shifted to her feet, as she was wearing the most exquisite black patent peep-toe Yves Saint Laurent heels.

The lace up heels have a striking tribal gold studs on the sides, and sexy-cut outs to make her tootsies look so elegant.

You can buy these heels from MatchesFashion.com for £465.

Every morning when I am looking at the pictures of events from the previous night, I am always looking to say wow. I had two moment like that today, and the first was Nicole Kidman.

I am not sure you will all love the ice queen in her stunning spaghetti strapped L’Wren Scott Spring 2009 ice white gown, with jeweled detail on the empire-waist, but I absolutely adore her here.

She is so statuesque, regal even. I came imagine jaws were dropping all night.

Along with Ali Larter, Nicole is up for Best Dressed this week.

And if you think the front is amazing, look at the detail on the back.

Kate Bosworth did not opt for a stunning gown, but the affects are just the same.

Her black tuxedo-style Chanel dress with a white bib, was amazing and sophisticated enough for her stand on the same red carpet as Nicole Kidman.

I do not think there has ever been a time when I was not impressed with Natalie Portman.

She appears to be a quiet shy retiring type, but girlfriend knows how to master the red carpet, and she did so again, wearing a black Jolibe Fall 2008 dress with a sequined panel going down the front, and folds on the skirt.

She completed her look with a pair of pom pom shoes, which she also owns in purple.

There was a time when America Ferrera would wear nothing but black. Thank god those days appear to be over as the Ugly Betty actress took to the red carpet last night wearing a multi-coloured sleeved Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2008 embroidered dress.

Love the dress, not so crazy about the Amy Wino hair ‘do, which she has sported before.

Sarah Michelle Gellar opted against her bangs, which she sported last week in favour of a messy up ‘do.

Like many women at this event she opted for a white dress. This dress was by Vicente Villarin Spring 2009

The beaded detail on Selita Ebanks’ dress is the most interesting detail on her grey gown with a black overlay.

I love the way she constantly adapts her crop. I wish I had the guts to go for the chop.

What is up with young Hollywood?

Taylor Swift should be trying to give people like Natalie Portman a run for her money, but instead she opts for a long, plain, boring black gown.

Taylor is usually very impressive on the red carpet so I am a touch, sorry very disappointed in this effort.

When she rocks, she rocks, and Fergie rock it last night.

The singer arrived looking sweet and innocent wearing an amazing white Michael Kors gown, with a jeweled bodice. Can’t wait to see this girls wedding gown.

You may have noticed that Fergie has put on a bit of weight. The singer put on 13 pounds to play a character named Saraghina in the upcoming movie musical Nine.

Debra Messing is not often on the red carpet, and she rarely gets it wrong. On this occasion, I think she did, as this Ralph Lauren Fall 2008 dress does anything for her at all.

Despite it being just a black dress by Gucci, I do like it on Tyra Banks as for once she is toned down and not over the top.

This is not my favourite look for Jane Krakowski. I think it is her hair, because her strapless Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti satin bustier dress is a gorgeous berry colour.

“Quantum Of Solace” Amsterdam Premiere

There are so many premiere’s of this movie, that I almost missed this one.

Olga Kurylenko took to the red carpet looking amazing wearing a black bowed YSL Resort 2009 fuchsia silk gown, which she complimented with matching fuchsia earrings, with an ivory teardrop.

“Quantum of Solace” Valencia Premiere

Last night at the Valencia premiere, she wore a black halter neck gown, which pales in to comparison to the fuchsia number, but is still effortless elegant, as we have come to expect from the Bond Girl.

Rumble In The Jumble, London

Gwyneth Paltrow wore a grey tailored tight fitting Giles Spring 2009 dress, with inside-out insets.

Despite her wearing a grey dress - and grey not being my favourite colour - this is a gorgeous dress on the actress.

68th Annual Motion Picture Club’s Awards Luncheon, New York

Speaking of gorgeous, Amy Adams lights up this red carpet event wearing a red Lela Rose Ruffle neck dress, which she wears with black pumps.

J’Adore.

Lucky Magazine Hosts 5th Annual Lucky Shops, New York

I am not sure what is happening to the Gossip Girls on the red carpet, but I sure know that I do not like it.

Leighton Meester asymmetric black and red floral mini Marc Jacobs dress, is just not flattering at all IMO. The gladiator heels rock though.

Jessica Szohr keeps warm in a knit top and black pants by from French Connection.

We have had Bland Beyonce - although not last night - Boring Biel, now we have Blah Blake Lively.

What happened to her? Her downfall is nothing but disappointing and frankly shocking.

The hair, the tights, the 3.1 Phillip Lim dress, even the shoes are all so wrong for someone like her.

Emma Roberts lights up my world after my Lively disappointment, with a canary yellow Juicy Couture dress, but she then dims it slightly with clunky black heels.

Jessica Szohr strikes a pose in a mint green Juicy Couture dress, with a thin black belt, booties and a selection of colourful bracelets.

This is definitely an edgier look for the usually demure Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Sporting bangs, Mrs Prinze wore a fur coat, a black ensemble both by Juicy Couture and YSL heels.

I don’t know about you, but I think sweeping bangs would look better on Sarah.

When Sarah Michelle Gellar first wore this black Bottega Veneta Fall 2008 strapless gown to the Costume Institute Gala, I was not crazy about it. In fact she appeared on my Worst Dressed list for being Far Too Safe.

The Buffy actress wore her hair back in her dress with drop earrings and a black clutch.

Christina Ricci wore the same dress last night to the Chopard Party in Cannes, and instantly the dress transforms into a sexy dress with huge appeal.

The Speed Racer actress also wore her hair back, carried a black clutch and of course wore Chopard jewels.

This is too easy. Christina wins for me.

Most Confusing/Worst Dressed Award
I understand the theme, and I understand that Christina Ricci was going for Wonder Woman here, but the pink ruins what could have been a great Givenchy dress.

Maybe if the pink had been black it would have worked.

Shame.

Not So Golden Girl Award
Mary-Kate Olsen’s custom-made Diane von Furstenberg gold sequined dress had plunging neckline, and a sexy slit, but looks slightly too big on her, which is strange considering the dress is customed.

Her hair is a disaster and ruins anything that is good here.

Worst Hair Award
A pair of straighteners would have sorted that mess right out.

I would have much preferred it if this Calvin Klein dress was a plunge-neck instead of a turtle neck.

Your TV Stylist & Your Red Carpet Stylist Should Meet Award
What is up with Blake Lively lately on the red carpet?

For me she is hitting foul balls left, right and center. Her style started off great on the red carpet, but has been on a downward spiral ever since.

Blake was meant to be the Sarah Jessica Parker of my sisters generation both on and off the red carpet, but it is just not working. She looks about 20 years older than what she is here in this Ralph Lauren Fall 2008 strapless gown with feathered detail….Booorring.

As usual, I expected more for young Blake. Whoever is dressing her for Gossip Girl, needs to sprinkle some of that magic onto the red carpet.

Where was Leighton Meester? She would not have looked this bad.

Most Disappointing Award
This one goes out to Victoria Beckham, David of course looks gorgeous.

I love Victoria Beckham so this hurts, but her dress is too see-through and she appears to have nothing underneath, so I feel like I can see her boobs, her face looks too pale and I usually like her hair up but on this occasion, not so much.

It would also have no killed her to have smiled at least once on the red carpet.

Worst Dress/Shoes Combo
Here is another person I was not expecting to see on the worst list.

Katie Holmes looks great from the ankles up. Her vintage Giorgio Armani red sequined beaded bustier and full ball gown skirt from the Fall 1993 collection is amazing as is her Boucheron jewels, but why OH WHY did she wear those blue Louboutins?

Worst Embellishments Award
I was torn on Mischa Barton’s Missoni dress for a while.

I like the chiffon straps, but I am not so keen on the dripping bead work and the gold skirt with a taupe overlay.

Lame Award
Isn’t it amazing how Michelle Trachtenberg has matched her skirt to her gold lame petal nipple covers?

She is not quite rockin’ this vintage YSL dress in a way I had hoped.

Far Too Safe Award
Sarah Michelle Gellar was far too safe with this black shapeless strapless Bottega Veneta dress.

Worst Hair Accessories Award
I know thanks to Gossip Girl headbands are back, but I am not loving the jeweled headband on Amanda Peet. I am also not crazy about her moody Derek Lam Fall 2008 strapless gown with a matching waist belt.

Most Uncomfortable Award
It looks like Eva Amurri can not breath in this Louis Vuitton Fall 2008 dress.

Eva is a busty lady, and this dress is crushing her lady lumps.

Worst One Sleeve Award
I am NOT a fan of the one long sleeve and this ruins what would have been a great night for Fergie in Calvin Klein.

One-shouldered or even strapless would have worked better.

Worst Use Of Colour Award
Kimora Lee Simmons’ kids did not colour-in her dress. This dress was actually designed like this by Kevan Hall.

Worst Lace Award
I was never a fan of the entire Prada Fall 2008 collection being lace and was hoping not see it on the red carpet.

Unfortunately Tilda Swinton is wearing this Prada Fall 2008 beige lace dress, and to make matters worse, she wore an orange brooch and a green velvet shoes.
