Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Sarah Jessica Parker was out in New York City last night with hubby Matthew Broderick for the ‘Smash’ premiere which was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

She wore a Tory Burch ‘Edna’ dress from Spring 2012 collection.

The blue-and-white wavy striped sequin dress was teamed with a navy velvet blazer.

I love this look but SJP is let down by her accessorises.

I really dislike the brown belt and the mud-coloured pumps.

Thankfully the statement necklace and tan clutch save this look.

What do you think of SJP’s accessories?

Michelle Obama was your best dressed this week wearing a custom electric blue Vera Wang gown.

Her look was typically breath-taking and awe-inspiring with earrings to-die-for.

My vote went to Sarah Jessica Parker in Theyskens’ Theory.

This could’ve gone wrong in so many different ways, but the petite actress was able to pull off this tricky gown without any problems.

Like FLOTUS, she was flawless from head-to-toe.

It was a busy night for Sarah Jessica Parker also, as she attended the New York premiere for ‘New Year’s Eve’ at the Ziegfeld Theatre and the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum Launch Party but she only wore one dress.

The actress wore a vintage Pauline Trigere dress from Frock NYC proving that you can never call her predictable as she’s given us four very different looks this week.

Her printed, embellished chiffon dress with three-quarter sleeves was accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels and champagne satin pointed pumps by her favourite shoe designer, Manolo Blahnik.

Wavy curls and a natural pink lip shade completed her look.

On Tuesday morning, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted in New York City on her way to make a guest appearance on ‘Live! with Kelly’.

The actress is one of the ensemble cast who’s promoting ‘New Year’s Eve’.

SJP wore a Valentino coat over her polka-dot Valentino summery dress, with Jimmy Choo shoes and House of Lavande jewels.

A surprising pop of colour to her taupe look comes via a pair of aqua American Apparel tights.

During the dreary days of early December, coloured tights are always a welcome addition to give your outfit some light, but we can’t say that we’ve seen a pair so particularly bright in some time.

Thumbs up for such a fun colour in an unexpected place.

Are you on board with SJP’s bold coloured tights?

If you are feeling inspired you can buy tights in a wide range of colours from New Look, Topshop US and Topshop International.

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the 2011 Brain Trauma Foundation Gala in New York City on Monday evening.

She wore a vintage black silk dress, paired with Manolo Blanhik stilettos, a VBH bag, Wolford tights and Fred Leighton jewels.

In head-to-toe black, this is definitely an understated look for the usually super-styled Sarah Jessica.

We’re surprised she didn’t add a large overcoat as she’s been known to do of late – but no complaints here. The embellished VHB bag is just enough.

Long, mermaid-esque ombre waves complete the look.

Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the many stars to tread the red carpet at the 34th Kennedy Center Honors event in Washington, D.C. last night.

The actress has never been afraid to make daring choices on the red carpet, a case in point being this Theyskens’ Theory Fall 2011 gown.

For one so petite, this gown with a voluminous skirt should totally overwhelm SJP and swallow her whole, but I think she pulls off this look with great aplomb when so many others would’ve been totally lost.

The gown would’ve had to have been modified to fit her perfectly, yet it hasn’t lost its shape or its volume. Kudos to the tailor.

Looking at the model’s overly creased gown I have to ask, did SJP walk to this event?

A very sleek updo adds yet more volume and height to her look. Dazzling earrings provide the finishing touches.

Love, loathe or undecided?

Me? LOVE, Love, love.
