Sarah Hyland In Bec & Bridge – ‘Maleficent’ World Premiere

Sarah Hyland In Bec & Bridge - ‘Maleficent’ World Premiere

Sarah Hyland attended the World Premiere of Disney’s ‘Maleficent’ held at the El Capitan Theatre on Wednesday (May 28) in Hollywood, California.

Going the Angelina Jolie route, the actress wore mostly black, donning a Bec & Bridge Fall 2014 top and skirt, with directional asymmetrical cuts and silver accents adding detail to the skirt.

It’s always interesting to see Sarah’s look evolve on the red carpet, but I’m not a huge fan of the bulky silhouette.

She styled the look with a simple high bun, black clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Sunday’ pumps, which have been a red carpet favourite.

Yay or nay on this black two-piece?

Get the Look: Sarah Hyland’s Metallic Billboard Music Awards Makeup

2014 Billboard Music Awards - ArrivalsThe Modern Family actress, Sarah Hyland lit up the red carpet at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in more ways than one.

Her Pucci ensemble and Oscar Tiye sandals featured metallic accents, so naturally she made sure her makeup included a bit of sparkle as well. Read on to recreate the shimmering look at home.

L.A. based makeup artist, Allan Avendano, prepped Hyland’s skin with Orlane Paris Super Moisturizing Light Cream. Don’t forget to show your lips a bit of TLC as well. Apply Dior’s Crème de Rose Balm for that smoothing effect.

Avendano always starts with eyes and Diorshow Backstage Eye Prime is the trick to preventing eyeshadow from creasing throughout the evening.

You’ll need three shades of a light reflecting eyeshadow to pull off the smokey eye. Diorshow Fusion Mono in Meteore was first applied to Hyland’s entire upper lid and also under the eyes.

Next Diorshow Fusion Mono in Chimere was blended from the center to the inner corners on the top and bottom of eyes. The lightest shade, Diorshow Fusion Mono in Lune was lightly blended to the inner corners of the eyes.

For eyeliner, focus on the outer corners, creating the illusion of a more opened eye. Dior Eyeliner Waterproof in Intense Brown enhanced Hyland’s soft smokey look.

Both Diorshow Black Out and Diorshow New Look were used on lashes. For the boldest of lashes, apply two to three coats of mascara and focus on the outer strands, creating a fanned out effect. Sarah’s effortless brows were filled and shaped with Dior Sourcils Poudre in Sand, which helps to diffuse the color and create a natural shape.

Diorskin Nude Foundation was used on Hyland’s face along with Diorskin Glow Maximizer to highlight. To intensify skin’s radiance, Diorskin Nude Tan Powder Bronzer in Sienna was applied to cheeks.

The lips are where the fun begins. You too can create a metallic color by mixing eyeshadows and lipstick as Avendano did for Hyland. Rouge Dior Lipstick in Trench was combined with Diorshow Fusion Mono Shadows in Meteore and Chimere. Eyeshadows can be rather drying on lips; so don’t forget to add a lip balm once complete to maintain skin’s moisture.

Sarah Hyland In Camilla and Marc – ‘Modern Family’ Wedding Episode Screening

Sarah Hyland In Camilla and Marc - 'Modern Family' Wedding Episode Screening

Sarah Hyland attended the ‘Modern Family’ wedding episode screening held at the Zanuck Theater at the 20th Century Fox Lot on Monday (May 19) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a strictly head-to-toe black and white look, donning an uber-cute Camilla and Marc Fall 2014 strapless playsuit with a fitted bodice and pleats in the shorts to give the look some structure.

Adding some pattern play into her monochrome look, she accessorized with a box clutch with silver hardware and Casadei T-bar sandals with the signature ‘Blade’ heel.

Sarah Hyland In Emilio Pucci – 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Sarah Hyland In Emilio Pucci - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

While the Cannes Film Festival rages on, Sarah Hyland hit the red carpet for another big night: the 2014 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (May 18).

As the event would demand, the young ‘Modern Family’ actress took an edgier approach to her girly style by donning an Emilio Pucci blue and metallic number.

The matching cropped jacked and skirt had all the glitz we’d expect from the designer and was only further emboldened with statement gold zipper detailing.

The shine factor continued to her reflective Oscar Tiye sandals, Tyler Alexandra gold-edged box clutch, Lorraine Schwartz earrings and XIV karat rings.

Not content to let her glittery outfit take all the credit, she also flaunted metal-tinged makeup and a punk-star-worthy, highlighted ’do, which nearly mimicked some of the half-shaven looks seen of late.

Sarah Hyland In Alice + Olivia & Jenni Kayne – The View & Late Show With David Letterman

Sarah Hyland In Alice + Olivia & Jenni Kayne - The View & Late Show With David Letterman

When not hanging out with BFF Taylor Swift in New York City, Sarah Hyland has been busy promoting ‘Modern Family’.

Last week the young actress was showcasing her style on the streets of Manhattan with two great looks. One expected, one not so much.

The View: While en route to her first interview on Wednesday (April 23) the actress wore an Alice + Olivia Fall 2014 ensemble consisting of a cropped saffron crewneck tank top styled with a pleated butterfly and floral print skirt for a bold and colourful flourish to her look. Adding a black coat with leather sleeves, she accessorized with a Christian Dior ‘Lady Dior’ bag and coral patent open-toe Kurt Geiger ‘Juniper’ sandals.

Letterman: As much as I loved the first look for its colour and bold print, this look – the unexpected one – is so effortlessly chic and stylish that I can’t help favouring it. The actress wore a Jenni Kayne oversized black blazer with the sleeves turned up, a black Osklen crop top, and white flared crepe trousers with a breezy, loose silhouette featuring gold-tone buttons punctuating the sides of the layered waistband. It’s the Rena Caovilla teal heels with black Swarovski crystals which I love. The pop of colour really enlivens this look, along with the chic shades.

Both these looks are the reason why Sarah is on my ones-to-watch list. She has been making such interesting choices lately, something I wouldn’t have said a year ago.

Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces Party

Marie Claire's Fresh Faces Party

There were plenty more lovely starlets who attended Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces Party, held at Soho House on Tuesday (April 8) in West Hollywood, California.

Naya Rivera: Inspiring us to get back into the gym, the ‘Glee’ actress donned a Philosophy ivory top slashed to reveal a bralet and midriff, which she wore with black cropped trousers. I can’t say I’m a fan of this look. I feel like she’s trying to make a statement, but the look is coming off as trying too hard.

Mena Suvari: One of my favourites from this event, Mena wore a flirty Sachin + Babi crop top with a floral lattice embroidered maxi skirt, which she styled with not only a coral Edie Parker clutch but also floral Dolce & Gabbana sandals and a trendy ear cuff courtesy of Graziela Gems.

Zoey Deutch: Opting for a bright-red-hued Alexander Wang Lattice back apron dress, the simple silhouette of her look wasn’t diluted by her clear perspex Charlotte Olympia clutch or her Alexander Wang ‘Alla’ open open-toe wedges which gave the look a tougher edge.
