Sara Bareilles In J Mendel - The Breast Cancer Foundation's 2014 Hot Pink Party

Sara Bareilles attended The Breast Cancer Foundation’s 2014 Hot Pink Party at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Monday (April 28) in New York City, where she was the guest performer.

The musician kept up the pink dress code wearing a J. Mendel Spring 2014 frock featuring a blush-pink skirt with a wrap front construction and asymmetrical pleated drape detail, and a delicate lace bodice adding a dash of charm.

Her black embellished Marchesa ‘Iris’ floral embroidered quartz-clasp clutch wouldn’t have been my first choice; however, the opulent piece has been carefully considered as it features both white and pink appliqués.

Working unteased tresses, Sara completed her look with a pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Ari’ metallic-silver pumps.

Sara Bareilles attended the Heart Association celebration of the 10th Year of ‘Go Red For Women’ at the Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Tuesday (February 11), where she also performed.

The singer dressed appropriately, wearing a red jacquard Theia party dress featuring a V-neckline, empire waist and pockets.

Opting not to go head-to-toe red, Sara styled her look with nude Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Susai’ pumps, nude lips and side-swept tresses.

Get The Look: Sara Bareilles’ 2014 Grammy Awards Textured Braids

Get The Look Sara Bareilles’ 2014 Grammy Awards Textured Braids

Sara Bareilles, known for her beautiful voice and lyrical impact, donned no-fuss, textured tresses at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Celebrity hair stylist Rolando Beauchamp described the look as “rough, beautiful hair that pulled her face up and back.”

Beauchamp prepped the hair first, using Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray on Sara’s damp hair. In order to create the texture, he rough-dried the strands. When the hair was dry, he made two loose cornrow braids from the front to the back of her head.

He used a 1 1/4 inch curling iron on the rest of the hair; wrapping around just the ends. Using a bit of Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Move It Manipulating Gel, he worked it into Sara’s hair, section by section. This created more of a “slightly slept-in” look.

To set the hair, he gave it a few spritzes of Garnier Fructis Style Extreme Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray.

The result? Effortless waves and braids to compliment her feminine Blumarine gown.

Sara Bareilles In Blumarine – 2014 Grammy Awards

SaraBareillesInBlumarine2014GrammyAwards

Sara Bareilles walked the red carpet Sunday (January 26) at the 2014 Grammy Awards at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

Celebrating dual nomination for Album of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, the singer chose a fresh-feeling dress by Blumarine Spring 2014.

The white strapless, high-low hemline featured a confetti-like detail throughout which was such a light, fun and flirty fashion statement. The singer, nominated for her ‘The Blessed Unrest’ album punctuated her red carpet gown with a coral plexi Thalé Blanc ‘Zodiac Ciara’ clutch and red heels.

Sara said her wavy, braided hairstyle was inspired by ‘The Hunger Games’ character Katniss Everdeen, and I love how the soft style complemented her uber-feminine dress.

I think this is a perfect look for the rock ‘n roll occasion. Do you?

Sara Bareilles kept things short and sweet on the red carpet of the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre.

The singer and performer wore a Jill Stuart Fall 2013 laser cut dress with shirt sleeve and collar accents.

A white Charlotte Olympia clutch and black Moschino pumps with red accents completed her fashion look.

Her hair bow, beachy waves, red accent nail, and red lips round-out her girly-yet-sophisticated turn on the carpet.

This whole look is so perfectly Sara, and I applaud her for staying so true to her personal style.

So tell me, are you as big of a fan as Sara’s ensemble as me?

Social Events Of The Week

VH1 Save The Music Foundation, LA

Jordin Sparks was radiant wearing a BCBG Max Azria chiffon maxi dress, with a pleated bodice.

The maxi ombre dress has a very bohemian feel to it. I love the ocean feel of the sea green and blue colours.

This is a fabulous dress, I really love it.

Singer Sara Bareilles’ Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent print belted wrap dress was slightly less informal, but she still looks fantastic.

In the long shot, the dress looks to be covered in black polka dots, but in the close-up, you can see the fish-print.

Sara’s look was complete with strappy sandals.

The Opening Of Annenberg Space For Photography, LA

Courtney Love is rock chick chic personified, wearing a black studded Lanvin Fall 2007 dress.

Kate Mara’s pink Dior dress is incredibly cute and delicate, with it’s ruffled bodice, and embroidered skirt.

Nice look, shame about the heavy black clutch.

Rachel Zoe And Decadestwo Charity Benefit, LA

What a refreshing changed to see Nicole Richie in something that’s not a maxi dress, nor boho inspired.

Nicole wore a taffeta pleated black mini skirt, which was very poufy, and did a good job of hiding her baby bump.

A printed scarf, white sleeveless top and YSL Trib Two’s completed the look.

Rachel Zoe exits her car gracefully, wearing a black jumpsuit, and pair of those incredible Louis Vuitton Fall 2008 two-tone platforms.

The Stylista also carried a lust worthy Hermes Medor clutch, and wore a large gold and silver link necklace.

Perry Reeves’ emerald green mini Dior dress with a bow and pleated skirt detail, is complimented with a very large matching ring.

Figures Of Speech: Fundraising Gala, London

Each item in the House of Holland Fall 2009 collection was striped.

So it was easy for me to recognise both Pixie Geldof’s wooly mammoth coat and long sleeved dress.

Considering Pixie fancies herself as a ‘wild child’. I’m surprised she picked the safest colours.
