Red Carpet Fashion Awards

BDOTW 1 July

Sandra Bullock won best dressed of the week for the second time in a row, this time wearing a sexy lace Azzaro dress on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

My choice was the lovely Juana Acosta wearing a green tweed Chanel dress with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Chanel ‘Lego’ clutch, which has become a celebrity must-have.

As for the dudes, we agreed that the best-dressed male of the week was David Beckham.

Sandra Bullock In Azzaro - The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Sandra Bullock continued to promote her latest movie ‘The Heat’ by making a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, which is taped in Burbank, California.

The actress showed off her finely toned bod wearing a fitted Azzaro Fall 2013 black-and-nude lace-accented dress featuring criss-cross straps.

While this is another black frock, it is much preferred to her ill-fitted leather frock from earlier in the week.

Opting for a simple, classic shoe choice, beauty-wise Sandra’s brunette tresses were styled sleek and straight, with smoky eyes and nude lips completing her look.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Sandra Bullock In Prabal Gurung, Armie Hammer In Tom Ford & David Gandy

Sandra Bullock secured an easy best dressed win this week wearing a purple hued Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2013 frock.

It was one of her best looks on this tour so far. It was a super chic look, plus we were all glad it wasn’t another black frock.

Our menswear choices differed.

You selected the always well-dressed, handsome model; David Gandy, while I opted for Armie Hammer’s Tom Ford suit.

Like Sandy, he didn’t go for the norm; selecting a pale-pink summery suit styled with a sleek maroon tie.

Hopefully the trend for more colourful options when it comes to men’s suits will continue.

‘The Heat’ New York Premiere

The New York premiere of ‘The Heat’ took place at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Sunday evening with the two main stars in attendance.

Sandra Bullock: The actress slipped back to wearing black, wearing an Ermanno Scervino leather dress following her amazing purple-hued Prabal Gurung frock from last week. She makes me forgive and forget thanks to her outstanding Bottega Veneta appliquéd leather sandals.

Melissa McCarthy: When I saw this look I said “almost”. The actress wore a black jumpsuit, with a rather odd sarong-like detail wrapped around her waist. This detail kills the look, doing more harm than then intended good. I’m sure she would have looked better without it. Someone needs to put Mr Tadashi Shoji on her speed dial.

Zosia Mamet: One can only assume that Zosia was rolled out of bed and onto the red carpet for this premiere, as there is no other reason for this look.

Sandra Bullock In Prabal Gurung - 'The Heat' Boston Premiere

I am really enjoying Sandra Bullock’s return to the red carpet for the promotion of her latest movie, ‘The Heat’.

On Thursday she attended the movie’s premiere in Boston, Massachusetts wearing a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2013 purple sheath dress with a draped bodice, shoulder loop detail and organza double hem.

Sandra has displayed an enviable selection of footwear on this tour, so I wasn’t surprised to see her don the Casadei for Prabal Gurung black ankle strap pumps with a white toe-cap which were presented with this dress in the look book.

Sleek straight tresses and flawless makeup completed her look. I pray I look this good at 48.
