Sandra Bullock In Burberry Prorsum - AFI Awards 2014

Sandra Bullock also attended the 14th annual AFI Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills this afternoon (January 10).

The ‘Gravity’ actress wore a skirt and top from the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2014 paired with nude Brian Atwood ‘Tamara’ shoes.

Sandra is gearing up for a big award season (she already won a People’s Choice Award on Wednesday, and she’s nominated for a Golden Globe), and I love that she looks chic, but is still taking it a little easy for this event.

The outfit is classic without any fuss, and her beautiful hair is shiny and equally effortless.

I do love the pop of green with the shoes on the runway, but Sandy’s Atwoods are classic and a great match to the top.

Sandra BullockThis past weekend, Sandra Bullock wowed all at the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in a fresh-faced, rosy beauty look that has me itching for spring. Although this bubbly pink combination might feel a little too young, Sandra’s look reads more mature with a subtle smoky eye and sleek hair. Here are some simple tips to achieve this rosy, updated look.

Eyes: Sandra opted for a sultry bronze smoky eye look. To achieve this softly dramatic look, try Lancome’s Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Bronze Amour. Apply the medium brown shade from the lash line to the crease, softly blending color onto the lid. The must-have makeup artist tip to open up eyes with color is to place a light shimmery champagne shade around the tear duct, as Sandra did with this look. Pick up the lightest shade in the palette and apply accordingly. Pack a liner brush with the shimmery dark chocolate shade and apply to the top and lower lash line. Finally, coat lashes with the luxurious Smokey Extravagant Mascara by Make Up For Ever. The tapered edge of the wand allows you to coat every lash.

Face: The star of Sandra’s pink beauty look is her masterfully blended rosy blush. Make sure not to pick up a shade that is too pink, as that can be too youthful and out of place. To take the guesswork out of picking, celebrity makeup superstar, Edward Bess has created a blush that mimics a natural flushed look with a touch of color. His Blush Extraordinaire comes in three flattering colors which makes choosing the perfect pink tone effortless. Pack some color on to a fluffy blush brush, pat on your hand to remove the intensity on the brush and softly apply to the apples of your cheek, blending outwards.

Lips: Sandra’s pink lipstick made her lips appear pillow soft. To get this look yourself, try a lipstick in a creamy blend like YSL’s Rouge Voupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick in 9 Caress Pink. The muted pink tone provides the ideal pink shade that compliments this rosy look well.

Will you dare to try this soft spring look?

Sandra Bullock In Peter Pilotto - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Sandra Bullock took to the red carpet at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night (January 8) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The Favourite Movie Actress winner not only maintained her refreshing embrace of colour, she also piled on the pattern in her Peter Pilotto Resort 2014 embroidered frock that featured a happy mix of grass-green, white and navy petal-like pieces, overlaid over a sky-blue lining.

With such a complex dress, accented with the geometric swath of a white waistband, I would have liked to have seen her wavy locks pulled into an off-the-shoulder ‘do. However, she did downplay her makeup, choosing nude tones over anything more eye-catching.

A matching dark-blue Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch and chartreuse Kurt Geiger ‘Bond’ heels both complemented the hues of the dress, but perhaps too much so.

Did you like her bold shoe choice, or was it one colour too many?

Sandra Bullock In Alex Perry - 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala

Sandra Bullock attended the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Sunday (January 4) in Palm Springs, California.

The actress continued to embrace colour wearing an Alex Perry pink front, orange back, sleeved frock with lace accents from the Australian designer’s Resort 2014 collection.

While I want to give Sandy major style points for this look just for the colours and fit alone, that visible so-called “illusion” neckline ruins the look for me.

This is such as shame considering the styling was perfect with the gold Jimmy Choo ‘Charm’ clutch, nude Atwoods and complementary pink lip.

Are you as fussy as me? Does the simple neckline pull this look down for you?

Sandra Bullock In Carolina Herrera - 'Gravity' Tokyo Premiere

Following yesterday’s red-hot press conference, Sandra Bullock took to the red carpet again this evening for the ‘Gravity’ premiere in Tokyo, Japan.

This time she opted for a very elegant Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 sculptural strapless silk faille navy-blue dress featuring a flounce skirt with a contrast sheer floral lace underlay.

I really like the simplicity of the look, but the black satin Charlotte Olympia platform pumps feel so heavy with the delicate hemline. The look book heels would’ve been perfect.

Martin Katz jewels, matte nude lips and a wavy updo provided the finishing touches.

Are the shoes a deal-breaker?

Sandra Bullock In Roland Mouret - 'Gravity' Tokyo Press Conference

I was speaking of amazing promo tours yesterday and Sandra Bullock for ‘Gravity’ has also been very impressive.

That run continued yesterday afternoon when she attended a press conference for the movie held at the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo, Japan wearing a Roland Mouret ‘Breccia’ dress.

This red cap-sleeved dress makes quite an alluring impact with its figure-flattering silhouette, square neckline and signature asymmetrical precise folds and pleats.

With the elegantly sculpted dress taking centre stage, she styled the look with black pumps and a gold bracelet.

You may remember that Jodie Foster also wore this dress in a more muted jade-green hue.
