Sandra Bullock In Roland Mouret – 2014 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Sandra Bullock In Roland Mouret - 2014 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Sandra Bullock attended the 66th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday evening (January 25) held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, California joining Anna Kendrick and Sarah Paulson.

Opting for a super simple, chic look she wore a Roland Mouret ‘Cimex’ charcoal strapless gown, featuring the designer’s signature folding technique.

Keep the sculpting silhouette in focus Sandra swept her hair up into a chic updo, with a dark rouge lip and Roger Vivier clutch rounding out her look.

While I have fallen in love with Sandra’s more colourful approach to red carpet dressing, I have to say this is one of her best looks this awards season.

The gown fits to perfection; I love the sexy silhouette and the vampy lip.

Sandra Bullock In Lanvin – 2014 SAG Awards

Sandra Bullock In Lanvin – 2014 SAG Awards

Sandra Bullock continued through her big award season at the 2014 SAG Awards in Los Angeles tonight (January 18).

The nominee and ‘Gravity’ star wore an emerald green Lanvin gown inspired by the designer’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

She paired the gown with silver Jimmy Choo ‘Valetta’ sandals, a metallic Roger Vivier ‘Boite de Nuit’ clutch and a simple gold bangle.

While the colour is perfection, I am so not feeling this gown. The fabric feels heavy, and the shape is doing very little for Sandra’s enviable figure.

A messy updo, bold smokey eyes and pink lips complete the look.

Or you with me on this, or do you love Sandra’s look?

Sandra Bullock attended the 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 16) in Santa Monica as a Best Actress nominee for her work in ‘Gravity.’

Like Cate Blanchett, Sandra also wore Lanvin, but her strapless tiered ruffled raspberry gown was custom made by Alber Elbaz.

Sandra gave her figure-flattering, crease-free gown an edge with a studded black leather belt and crystal detailing, which complemented her Roger Vivier ‘Pilgrim Mini’ clutch.

Fred Leighton antique diamond scroll earrings, smokey eyes, a nude lip, and sleek tresses completed her sultry look.

Much improved from the Golden Globes?

Golden Globes Hair Trend Spotting: Deep Side Parts

Golden Globes Hair Trend Spotting Deep Side Parts

While plenty of different beauty looks were seen on the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globe awards, there was one major trend we spotted on the stars: deep side parts. Whether the hair was left down or pulled into a ponytail or updo, the deep side part was definitely the look to have.

Sandra Bullock’s hair was given a deep side part before being pulled into a relaxed side ponytail, and Emma Watson’s hair was sleeked into a side part before being wrapped into a messy-but-chic chignon.

A deep part was the foundation of Cate Blanchett’s retro-inspired faux-bob, and Kerry Washington’s hair was given a side part before being coiffed into shiny, loose waves.

Other stars who wore the trend include Reese Witherspoon, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Margot Robbie, Kaley Cuoco and Sarah Paulson.

To get the look at home, use a rat tail comb to get a precise line. Then, if you want a voluminous final look, apply a soft hold mousse, like Oscar Blandi Hair Lift Mousse and for a sleek final ‘do, go for a shine serum like Alterna’s Caviar Anti-Aging Polishing Serum.

Sandra Bullock In Prabal Gurung – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Sandra Bullock In Prabal Gurung - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Sandra Bullock continued her rather new love affair with colour at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening (January 12).

The ‘Gravity’ star and best actress nominee continued to step outside the lines of her style comfort zone in a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2014 high-low gown, which she wore with black, ankle-strap sandals.

Seeing the sharply tailored, lookbook version of this pink, black and baby-blue colour-block design immediately made me miss the punctuation of the white belt. It also cast a spotlight on some unfortunate wrinkles and rumples that appeared in Sandy’s dress.

That said, she looked beautiful with her soft, blushing makeup and fuchsia lip that played off the pastel pink in her ensemble. I was also delighted to see her brunette locks refreshingly swept into a side-parted low ponytail.

Sandra Bullock In Burberry Prorsum – BAFTA LA 2014 Awards Season Tea Party

Sandra Bullock In Burberry Prorsum - BAFTA LA 2014 Awards Season Tea Party

It’s the second event in a row that Sandra Bullock has opted for Burberry Prorsum, but the looks couldn’t be more different. Yesterday evening (January 11) the red carpet favourite opted for pre-fall 2014 top and skirt for the BAFTA LA 2014 Awards Season Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverley Hills, Los Angeles.

At the AFI Awards the previous evening Sandra had opted for an ultra-feminine nude look from the runway but last night, Sandra released her inner rock chick, which quite frankly, I love.

The on-trend midi length, figure-hugging skirt and printed t-shirt broke the rules of red carpet dressing for all the right reasons.

A pair of Casadei black suede and mesh pumps, big jewel necklace and smoky eyes all add up to one hell of an evening look.

The only alteration would be the bag. I really think a clutch would have been so much more chic, do you agree?

And with the awards season just about to kick off, is this our biggest indiacation yet as to what Sandra will be wearing to the big awards this season?
