Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Salma Hayek’s non-stop promotion of her new movie ‘Puss In Boots’ took her to the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City for a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’.

This time she donned an Antonio Berardi Resort 2012 dress.

The first thing to come to mind when I saw her in this olive-green dress is that it’s just too tight for Salma. The second was: ‘hasn’t she evolved past this look?’

What she gives with one hand she continues to take away with the other.

Her promo tour has been frustratingly inconsistent.

When this tour is over, I really hope she works to find a style that works for her.

Whilst she doesn’t have to cover up, there is a more sophisticated way to display one’s assets and it isn’t squeezing into a dress one or two sizes too small.

I’m sure that seam is supposed to sit under the bust.

Whether she likes it or not, I expect more from her as the first lady of fashion.

Her second look as she left the Ed Sullivan Theater was more like it.

She wore a red Gucci Resort 2012 coat with four gold buttons an oversized pocket detail.

Salma Hayek continued to promote her new movie ‘Puss In Boots’ at the New York screening held within the Hearst Tower yesterday.

The actress donned yet another dress from the Alexander McQueen Resort 2012 collection.

This has to be my favourite McQueen look from Salma.

She’s finally found a dress which suits her curvaceous, sexy figure.

Her ocelot jacquard dress with a full skirt is thankfully not paired with the corseted belt.

The belt would’ve been too much for her petite frame and it would’ve pushed up the twins and put this look to Tackyville.

Tousled ombre locks, an orangey-red lip colour and caramel pumps completed her look.

It was a very busy weekend for Salma Hayek and her co-star Antonio Banderas as the second stop on the promotional tour for ‘Puss In Boots’ took them to Grapevine, Texas.

For the premiere, Salma wore a Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 look.

Her midnight-blue silk halter top, which was decorated with Swarovski crystal embroidery, was paired with midnight-blue wide-legged silk pants with gold buttons.

I love this look on Salma. I have to say it’s one of my favourite looks from her in a long while.

Whilst she has been a great ambassador for the Gucci Group, I’m glad to see that she’s not limited to just those brands, which I’m sure we all assumed was the case.

Salma Hayek continued to promote her latest movie ‘Puss In Boots’ by attending the premiere in Westwood, California this weekend.

The actress continues to showcase brands within the Gucci Group; this time she’s the first to wear a Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 dress.

I’m relieved that she opted for this chocolate brown, white and black chiffon one-shouldered dress.

As hard as she tries, edgy looks just don’t work for her.

Her dress was accessorized with a gold Alexander McQueen clutch and black peep-toe slingbacks.

Ombre Farrah-Fawcett-flippy locks and a nude lip colour completed her look.

Salma Hayek attended the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 presentation with her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault during Paris Fashion Week.

Carine Roitfeld holds the record for the fastest time to wear a Spring 2012 runway look, but Salma shares the title as she wore a very pretty coral Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 dress with a black belt whilst sitting in the front row.

I saw her commercial dress (which also comes in black) at the Alexander McQueen re-see in Paris yesterday.

She carried an Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 black ‘Sedna’ clutch with gold hardware.

This clutch is really special as it opens up to reveal the trademark gold skull clasps.

Salma Hayek was spotted arriving at the Ritz Hotel in Moscow, Russia yesterday afternoon for the photocall of her new movie, ‘Puss In Boots’.

We all know that Salma wears nothing but brands within the Gucci Group, so it’s surprising to see her wearing this Preen Resort 2012 look.

Her black floral sleeveless button-down top and leather midi skirt were teamed with a black cardigan.

She opted out of wearing the floral belt as worn by the model and went for a simple black belt instead.

For someone as petite as Salma, I wish she’d opted for some heels, but I’m guessing she’s wearing boots to fit the theme of the title of her movie.

Shame it’s not ‘Puss In High-Heeled Boots’.
