Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Salma Hayek attended the 38th Deauville American Film Festival Closing Ceremony on Saturday night.

For the event the actress chose to wear a gown by British designer Stella McCartney.

Salma looked her stunning self on the red carpet, but I’m not sure everything about this dress works.

While the skirt is a great length – showing offer her slim ankles and peep-toe platforms – the reverse scoop bodice seems to jolt. Perhaps it’s because I’m so used to seeing her enhancing rather than hiding her cleavage?

I love the pop of colour provided by her aqua Judith Leiber East/West crocodile clutch and Graziela earrings.

Salma Hayek continued to wow yesterday while strolling the streets of Venice.

The actress, who’s in the city for the annual film festival, looked stunning in a tangerine Roland Mouret dress from the Resort 2013 collection.

For the look, Salma eschewed a waist sculpting skinny belt, opting instead for a black beaded necklace.

She kept her other accessories low key too, choosing a Gucci ‘Emily’ shoulder bag and a pair of nude YSL Tribute pumps to complete the outfit.

Salma Hayek attended the ‘La Voce Delle Immagini’ Exhibition at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Italy, with her family this weekend.

The Mexican actress, who usually only wears brands within the Gucci Group, branched out by wearing a Carolina Herrera Resort 2013 dress.

This delightfully flattering red-and-white striped fit-and-flare dress was styled with a red cardigan, matching wedges and a white YSL ‘Belle de Jour’ clutch.

A simple ponytail, silver jewels and red lippie finished her look.

I hope we see more of this type of look from Salma in the future.

Salma Hayek continued to shine on the red carpet on Saturday evening for the Gucci Premiere Fragrance Launch party, held at the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, which was also attended by Blake Lively.

Wearing another Gucci look, this time she opted for a sophisticated beaded dress with sheer sleeves.

You’ll get no complaints about her wearing two black looks in a row as both were beautiful. In fact I think this look is my favourite of the two.

Salma styled her look with Farah Fawcett-inspired waves and a nude lip colour, with a YSL black clutch and Sergio Rossi ‘Cachet’ satin pumps completing her second Gucci look of the weekend.

Salma Hayek attended the Gucci Award for Women in Cinema event with her husband Francois-Henri Pinault which was held at the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy, on Friday.

The actress looked beautiful wearing a Gucci one-of-a-kind black silk georgette cap sleeved gown with a plunging neckline.

Her silk-georgette gown with black beaded embellishments cascading from her shoulder to her waist was styled with a crystallized black clutch.

The Salma-Gucci partnership is one that always works so well on the red carpet, and this is no exception.

Following Salma’s less-than-impressive makeup during Cannes, I’m glad to see her makeup looking flawless on this occasion with a pretty pink lip colour accentuating her perfect pout.

With large wavy locks tumbling down one shoulder, she completed her look with diamond-encrusted earrings and a matching cocktail ring.
