Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup 18 sept

Here’s the final roundup of the leading men who have been escorting their leading ladies down the red carpets of London and Toronto this week.

Adrien Brody: The actor joined Salma Hayek for the ‘Septembers of Shiraz’ premiere during the 2015 Toronto Film Festival on Tuesday (September 15).  Once again he was cultivating sophistication wearing a Dior Homme charcoal wool Prince de Galles suit.

Ryan Reynolds: The actor was looking oh so handsome on the red carpet for the ‘Mississippi Grind’ premiere during Toronto Film Festival on Wednesday (September 16). I love his navy Burberry Tailoring suit for its modern-classic vibes.

Dev Patel: While we usually associate the British actor with colourful suits, but he kept his Burberry Tailoring look simple, yet modern for ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’ Toronto Film Festival premiere on Thursday (September 17).  I love how he injected some personality into the look via the camo tie.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

mens 1

Here is a roundup of some menswear red carpet looks, including a one more from the Grammys.

Robert Pattinson: Always one to keep menswear interesting, the British actor wore several shades of grey in his Gucci look, which included a ‘Signoria’ wool coat and a red tie. I’m sure he was a gentleman and offered said coat to co-star Alessandra Mastronardi, who wore a strapless Elie Saab gown to the same event.

Dane DeHaan: The actor was not to be outdone. The face of Prada wore Prada, wearing an impeccably tailored navy kid mohair two-button suit with a sky-blue Oxford shirt and navy satin bow tie. If only Prada’s women’s red carpet offerings could have the same 100% hit rate as the men’s.

Ryan Reynolds: Leaving his gorgeous wife and newborn at home, Ryan joined the evergreen Helen Mirren on the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of ‘Women in Gold’. Sticking to classic black, the slim-fit suit was styled with a striped tie that almost gives a nod to collegiate style.

Best Dressed Couple 2014 – Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively

Best Dressed Couple 2014 - Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds couldn’t be more beautiful and handsome if they tried. She, the definitive embodiment of glamour, and he, the distinguished, impeccably dressed gentleman who still maintains all the cuteness of schoolboy charm in his eyes.

Together, they are the consummate Hollywood couple, coordinating their style statements and complementing each other so well.

They were breathtaking in his and hers Gucci entrances during the Cannes Film Festival, working the union of black and white to ultimate effect.

The magic of their golden-age allure was also out in force at the Met Gala, where Blake again was at her best in a sparkling Gucci Première blush gown, elevated by blonde finger waves and a soft red lip. Ryan only needed the sharp cut of a Gucci Made to Order ‘Signoria’ tux to complete the picture.

Now, with baby on the way, no doubt they will be some of the most well-dressed parents around.

Runner Up: Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear red carpet 21 october

Here is a quick rundown of some of the gentlemen who took to the red carpet yesterday (October 20) evening.

Ryan Reynolds: The actor joined his wife, Blake Lively, on the red carpet for the Angel Ball in New York City. Like Blake, he also wore Gucci, donning a Made to Order peak-lapel two-button Marseille tuxedo with a black evening shirt, navy silk bowtie and black leather lace-up shoes.

Eddie Redmayne: Making it a Gucci double, the British actor joined co-star Felicity Jones on the red carpet for ‘The Theory of Everything’ New York premiere decked out in a dark-blue Gucci Fall 2014 velvet ‘Dylan’ suit. We love the actor for his dabbling in colourful suits, but he looks just as good when he takes a walk on the dark side.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some guys taking to the red carpet recently.

Ryan Reynolds: Blake Lively’s hubby was looking very sharp at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of his latest movie ‘The Voices’ on Thursday (September 11), where he joined his Miu Miu clad co-star Anna Kendrick. The actor wore a steely navy-blue head-to-toe Brunello Cucinelli look, opting to go sans tie and buttoning down his shirt. Even as someone who is not a huge fan of beards, I have to say this look is very distinguished on him.

Benjamin McKenzie: The actor joined Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet for the ‘Gotham’ premiere last night (September 15) wearing a Dior Homme dark-grey suit styled with a spotted tie with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Mont Blanc watch and tie-bar pin.

Josh Hutcherson: Opting for a classic Dior Homme black wool two-button peak-lapel suit, white cotton shirt, black silk tie, and black leather derbies to the ‘Escobar: Paradise Lost’ Toronto Film Festival premiere, the blazer doesn’t appear to fit too well. Perhaps he should’ve left it unbuttoned.
