Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior – The EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior - The EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Ruth Wilson joined Amy Adams on the red carpet last night (February 15) at the EE British Academy Film Award Nominees party held at Asprey London.

The British actress wore her go-to brand: Christian Dior, wearing an ivory-and-black strapless knit top with a ruffled peplum styled with tapered black pants, black pumps and a hot red lip.

You may remember that Jennifer Lawrence wore the black version of this look.

Ruth Wilson In Peter Pilotto – Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Ruth Wilson In Peter Pilotto - Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Ruth Wilson joined Cate Blanchett, Naomie Harris and Victoria Beckham on the red carpet for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

I often associate the British actress with Dior so I was delighted to see her try something new on the red carpet, donning a multi-print Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 fiery frock featuring a sheer asymmetrical panel at the waist and a flared A-line skirt which thankfully maintained its volume off the runway.

This dress was a big challenge for her (as it would be for anyone), and one she could’ve easily pulled off, but the cutesy curls don’t quite go with the edgy, fashion-forward frock.

Had she sexed it up with a sleek ponytail, low bun or even a centre-parted straightened ‘do, I would’ve loved this look.

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior – ‘Saving Mr Banks’ London Film Festival Closing Night Gala Premiere

Following the ‘Locke’ premiere on Friday evening, Ruth Wilson was back on the red carpet (alongside Lily Allen) for the Closing Night Gala premiere of ‘Saving Mr Banks’ during the 57th BFI London Film Festival held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Sunday evening.

The British actress wore a Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture strapless fitted midnight-blue bustier dress with orange, cobalt-blue and red brushstrokes.

An oversized oval-shaped sapphire cuff and black mesh Dior pumps with a sculptured heel accessorized the look, complementing the edgier vibe of the Dior piece.

On this occasion the hair was thankfully much improved.

Do you love the Dior look on Ruth or had you earmarked it for Marion Cotillard? I know I had.

Ruth Wilson In Alexander McQueen – ‘Locke’ London Film Festival Premiere

Friday evening also saw the screening of ‘Locke’ during the 57th BFI London Film Festival held at the Odeon West End, which was attended by British actress Ruth Wilson.

Selecting a look from the Alexander McQueen Fall 2013 collection, her shortened black velvet dress featured a diamond-shaped beaded bodice on grey tulle, which she styled with a silver metal Cathedral arch belt.

I love how this look commands your attention. It almost has a warrior feel to it with that armoury, but she lets the look down with the hair.

I won’t call it a hairstyle, because not much has been done to it.

Ruth Wilson In Stella McCartney – ‘The Lone Ranger’ Dublin Premiere

Ruth Wilson In Stella McCartney - 'The Lone Ranger' Dublin Premiere

Ruth Wilson attended the Irish premiere of ‘The Lone Ranger’ held at the Savoy Cinema in Dublin, Ireland yesterday evening.

Going for a reptilian look, she wore a dual-colour snakeskin-print dress from Stella McCartney’s Resort 2014 collection.

The short-sleeved dress with a slit at the neckline has an autumnal feel, which is probably appropriate as temperatures are starting to cool this side of the pond.

Ruth’s approach to this look was effortless, with tousled tresses and light makeup; however, the heavy shoes don’t get any love from me.

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Lone Ranger’ London Premiere

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior Couture - 'The Lone Ranger' London Premiere

Following Friday night’s Berlin premiere, Ruth Wilson returned home to promote her latest movie ‘The Lone Ranger’ by attending the premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square in London on Sunday evening.

The British actress, who is no stranger to wearing Christian Dior, beat the likes of Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron to give us the first look from the recently presented Fall 2013 Couture collection.

I have a feeling this will be a marmite dress but, looking at all of the pictures of this charcoal-grey printed cocktail dress with a step hem and black draped detail, your feelings about this will all depend on which angle you view it from.

Front-dead-on makes her appear wider than she is. The above front-and-a-little-to-the-right view shows off some leg, giving her a more slimming silhouette.

It’s a tricky look but, girl crush aside, I think she pulled it off. Those neon-yellow Dior pumps really help lift the look, along with the wavy bouffant and hot-pink lips.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Miranda Kerr In Wes Gordon, Ruth Wilson In Balenciaga, Zachery Levi in Reiss & Armie Hammer In Ermenegildo Zegna

Best Dressed Of The Week - Miranda Kerr In Wes Gordon, Ruth Wilson In Balenciaga

Even with so many red carpet options this week, Miranda Kerr’s airport-chic Wes Gordon frock was your favourite this week. My pick was the sharp, sleek Balenciaga look presented to us by Ruth Wilson at the eleventh hour on Friday evening.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Zachery Levi in Reiss & Armie Hammer In Ermenegildo Zegna

Zachery Levi in Reiss has always been a winning combination, and you thought so too on this occasion.

I had more trouble selecting this week with so many great choices. In the end I had to go with Armie Hammer in Ermenegildo Zegna for the interesting mix-and-match element, not only colour-wise but also print-wise as the look featured chequers and stripes – not an easy combo to pull off.
