Ruth Wilson In Markus Lupfer & Johanna Ortiz – HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration & ‘Dark River’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Ruth Wilson was one of the many lovely ladies who graced the Toronto Film Festival, first attending the HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration on Saturday (September 9) then the ‘Dark River’ premiere on Sunday (September 10).

HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration: Dressed in Markus Lupfer Pre-Fall 2017, the actress’s teal bra was visible under a gossamer-thin white tank top. The sheer top was juxtaposed by the high-shine red skirt and leopard print shoes. The tank top felt too casual for the event and the teal lingerie felt out of place, or like a missed opportunity.

‘Dark River’ Premiere: Ruth brought out her party skirt for the premiere by donning head-to-toe Johanna Ortiz Resort 2018. The striped T-shirt layered over the blouse with billowing sleeves tempered the foiled metallic ruffles of the skirt. The entire look was literally wrapped up with the oversized black bow fashioned around her waist. There are many juxtaposing elements, but I wish Ruth had experimented with something as impactful in her previous look.

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior – Save The Elephants Dinner

Ruth Wilson kept it casual joining Cara Delevingne for a dinner on Monday (June 12) hosted by Doutzen Kroes and Lucy Yeomans in honour of Save the Elephants at The Orangery in London.

The ‘Jane Eyre’ actress was head to toe in Dior; giving a playful nod to the charity with her oversized Dior off-white cardigan with ‘Lascaux Cave’ print.

The luxe material and rich hue of the maxi ochre dress worked well with the relaxed cosiness of Ruth’s cardigan.

I particularly liked the tribal theme extending to her styling, like the plaited updo, studded Dior sandals, and layered Dior necklace and choker.

She wasn’t as formal as some of the other attendees, but I loved this take on the event. What do you think?

2017 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner

There was a sea of Chanel ensembles to be seen and admired from the guests at the Chanel Artists Dinner, hosted on Monday (April 24) during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

Katie Holmes: Despite this being a sheer Chanel look, it manifested a casual, feminine charm. But I think it was Katie’s new, wavy bob along with metallic accessories that worked wonders to keep the look on fresh ground.

Dianna Agron: Classic Chanel tweed was turned on its head in this Spring 2017 ensemble that came alive with a holographic array of hues. The cropped top attempted to counterbalance the looser proportions of the jacket and skirt. I just wish her shoes had been as bold as her fuchsia eyeliner.

Dree Hemingway: Reflecting Dree’s free-spirited style, this Chanel look likewise paid homage to the spirited Gabrielle Coco Chanel herself. Sure, it was a quirky combination with the embellished sweater, girly pink skirt and granny-chic shoes. But, Dree has the presence to pull it off; I just wish she had done something more with her hair and makeup.

Ruth Wilson In Christian Dior – 2017 Olivier Awards

Ruth Wilson was yet again in Dior for the 2017 Olivier Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (April 9) in London.

Her pink tulle Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2017 dress with lace effect embroidery is beautiful, but I really miss the days when Ruth was a bit more fearless and unpredictable.

This feels safe by her standards, despite the burgundy Olgana Paris ‘L’Amazone Jewels’ sandals and ear cuff.

Ruth Wilson In Michael Kors – Olivier Awards Nominations Celebration

Ruth Wilson attended the Olivier Awards nominations celebration this afternoon (March 10) in London.

With the whiff of spring in the air, it’s time to bring out the blooms which are presented with a flourish on her Michael Kors Spring 2017 peplum skirt.

While Ruth’s styling did remain light with the Rupert Sanderson ‘Myril’ sandals, I do wish find myself preferring the sleeker accessories as presented on the runway.

Do you wish Ruth had stayed true to the runway styling or do you love that she made this look her own?

Christian Dior Fall 2017 Front Row

Paris Fashion Week is in full tilt, with the Christian Dior Fall 2017 presentation on Friday (March 3) one of the highly anticipated shows on the calendar. A flurry of Dior-dressed beauties were seated front and centre for the runway action.

Rihanna: Parisian chic with plenty of edge, Rihanna wore a Christian Dior Spring 2017 ensemble. The gracefully tailored coat-dress simply served as the canvas for the drama of her statement accessories that put the power into this look, beginning with the leather beret and J’ADIOR shades and ending with the patent cross-body bag and embellished suede boots.

Uma Thurman: Tailored sophistication was presented in this Dior Pre-Fall 2017 ensemble with the brush of the floral tulle skirt adding a softer femininity to the look.

Sienna Miller
: Also donning a Pre-Fall 2017 look, the actress managed the oversized layers and heady mix of floral motifs quite beautifully while maintaining her typically bohemian sensibility.
