Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Anna Dello Russo

Leave it to drama kings Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to top off the recent haute couture shows with an elaborate flourish. The design duo orchestrated ‘Ballo in Maschera,’ an extravagant Venetian masquerade ball held in the halls of the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta along the Grand Canal last Saturday. A collection of brilliantly costumed guests, each having received a mask created by the designers, arrived by gondola or boat to celebrate the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fall Winter 2013/14 presented in Venice, Italy.

Anna Dello Russo: ‘Understated’ is not in this ‘Vogue’ Japan editor’s vocabulary, so it’s only natural that she put the costume in this costume party with a spirited ship fascinator atop her expansive wig. Flaunting a period costume with layers and layers of ruffles and piles of frou, ADR was definitely the fashion queen of the evening.

Victor & Rolf Fall 2013 Couture Front Row

Viktor & Rolf presented their Fall 2013 Couture show yesterday evening at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, France.

Pace Wu: The actress looked heavenly once again, wearing an ethereal Viktor & Rolf white silk short-sleeved gown with ruffle detailing from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Thankfully, she didn’t take the accessorizing and toughening up of this look too far, as she just added a gold-chain-accented black waistband all by Viktor & Rolf, a gold Charlotte Olympia clutch and a Hermes CDC bracelet.

Rose McGowan: The returned-to-brunette actress was also in attendance, wearing a Viktor & Rolf Resort 2013 black silk-chiffon halter-neck gown with a keyhole detail. A silver clutch and frosty-pink lip colour provided the finishing touches.

‘Dukes of Melrose’ Launch Party Red Carpet Round Up

Celebs came out to help Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos celebrate the launch of their new Bravo series, ‘Dukes of Melrose’, held at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Thursday evening. They all, of course, wore vintage pieces from the hosts’ boutique, Decades Inc.

Sophia Bush: Finally getting those bangs cut to a perfect length, the actress wore a vintage 80s Halston one-shoulder gold dress with a wrap skirt, which was styled with a snakeskin MCM flap wallet clutch and gold Ruthie Davis platform peep-toes.

Isabelle Fuhrman: Turning back time to the 60s, young Isabelle wore a vintage Norell bright-yellow long-sleeved shift dress, which she styled with a bright-yellow MCM bag. Between the two pops of colour and the gorgeous smile, needless to say she was my favourite at this event.

Leven Rambin: J’Adore Leven’s classic YSL Le Smoking 80s pant suit. It’s such a simple yet impactful look, with the bold shoulders, satin lapels and high-waisted pants. Her red lip colour further adds a bold statement, with a gold clutch and black sandals completing her gorgeous look.

Rose McGowan was the host of the 3rd Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York, held at The New York Public Library yesterday evening.

When you think gala, you think gowns, but Rose opted to wear a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 dress.

Is her off-the-shoulder black paisley-print mini dress feeling a tad familiar?

That’s because Elizabeth Banks wore an almost identical version of this dress for her guest appearance on Letterman last month.

Rose styled her look with Giuseppe Zanotti burgundy velvet peep-toes and a stunning Fred Leighton statement necklace.

We don’t often see Rose with her hair back, but on this occasion she opted for a clean ponytail.

Pink lippie completed her look.
