Rose Byrne In Jill Stuart – ‘I Give It A Year’ Sydney Premiere

Rose Byrne In Jill Stuart - ‘I Give It A Year’ Sydney Premiere

After attending the G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala over the weekend, Rose Byrne was back home in Australia to attend the premiere of her latest movie, ‘I Give It A Year’, held at the Event Cinema George Street in Sydney.

The pretty brunette wore a Jill Stuart Fall 2012 dress.

Her berry dress, with a sheer top and leather skirt, was styled with black Casadei pumps with a cream trim and the signature ‘Blade’ heel, a black Kotur clutch, an Adeler ring and Misaki earrings.

A simple updo and barely-there makeup completed her look.

The soft leather skirt adds an edge to her sleeveless shirt dress with an intense hue; I just wish her accessories had a bit more bite.

Rose Byrne In Diane von Furstenberg – 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala

Rose Byrne In Diane von Furstenberg - 2013 G'Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie GalaRose Byrne barely cracked a smile as she posed on the red carpet for yesterday evening’s 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala, hosted at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

Perhaps the Australian actress was doubting her incredibly bold exit from Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring 2013 collection.

The navy blue sleeveless top with keyhole detail and narrow-cut trouser featured a confident, if not slightly eye-crossing, application of gemstone embellishment that was nearly as busy as the step-and-repeat behind her.

Rose matched the look with a blue satin Christian Louboutin clutch and Charlotte Olympia platform heels.

Thankfully, she pulled her hair into a simple low side bun so her strands didn’t interfere with the clutter of her look.

All in all, it was a cool twist on the printed pattern trend. But I wonder if it would have been less dizzying if Rose had just worn the pant paired with a different top to break the monotony.

Rose Byrne In Monique Lhuillier – Sephora Times Square Store Reopening

Rose Byrne opted for a volcanic look for her guest appearance at the Sephora Times Square store, where she cut the ribbon for the grand reopening earlier today.

Dressed in a red-and-black printed cocktail Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 dress with a drop-waist, she styled the look with tight curls and a salmon lip colour, which was a surprising choice considering red would’ve been the more obvious one.

I really like Rose’s black Gio Dev pumps. Before you think I’m coming down with something, what I like about them is the red piping detail, which coordinates well with her red-and-black printed frock.

Rose Byrne In Chanel Couture – Chanel’s Fine Jewelry 80th Anniversary Celebration

Rose Byrne joined Blake Lively, Diane Kruger and many other stars on the red carpet last night for the celebration of Chanel Fine Jewelry’s 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection in New York City.

Dressed in a Chanel Spring 2011 Couture sleeveless look, the Australian actress continues to prove that she can really do no wrong in my eyes, even wearing those simple black Sergio Rossi pumps.

Rose looked so very graceful in this black sleeveless dress. She shone where so many other of our favourites failed at the event.

Styling her look with a Chanel chain-accented mirrored bag from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection, Rose completed her look with a bold red lip colour and a chic updo.

Rose Byrne In Boy. By Band of Outsiders – SiriusXM Studios

Rose Byrne was at SiriusXM Studios in New York City to promote her TV series ‘Damages’.

The actress wore a Boy. By Band of Outsiders Fall 2012 dress.

Her sunny yellow link-print shirt with rolled-up sleeves was paired with a yellow-and-coral skirt with an asymmetrical hemline.

This Fall look has a very summery feel don’t you think?

I wish she’d relaxed the look by unbuttoning the shirt.

No doubt inspired by Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Rose styled her look with nude LK Bennett ‘Sledge’ pumps.

Rose Byrne For Flare August 2012

Rose Byrne looks beautiful wearing a red Marchesa dress with an Aurélie Bidermann cuff for the August cover of Flare magazine.

This is the same dress Jennifer Lawrence wore to the ‘The Hunger Games’ Berlin premiere back in March.

The rest of Rose’s editorial sees her wearing a purple Lanvin ensemble and a peach lurex Balenciaga top. I can see her wearing all three looks on the red carpet.

Rose talks to Flare about her red-carpet rulebook, her casual closet, working with the late Heath Ledger and why her star-making role in Bridesmaids left her terrified.
Here are some extracts:

On comedy vs. drama: “It’s definitely more challenging for me to do comedy. I’m not as used to doing comedy, the stakes are higher. But it’s so addictive, to make people laugh.”

On ruling the red carpet: “I think for the red carpet in general it’s important to keep it youthful. A lot of people can look very dressed up and old and severe. That’s sort of my worst fear, is erring on that side.”

On her off-duty style: “I go through phases, but I mostly dress in high street clothing, like Urban Outfitters. Every day, really. My [best recent purchase was my] Zara boots…they get so many compliments. They’re great walking shoes, perfect for the city.”

On working with Heath Ledger: “I’m so proud of that film [1999’s Two Hands]. It’s an Australian classic. Heath is so beautiful in it…they couldn’t have made it without him. We were just kids making that movie.”

Rose Byrne In Valentino – ‘Damages’ Season 5 Premiere

Rose Byrne attended the season 5 premiere for ‘Damages’ on Thursday in New York City.

The actress looked lovely, as always, wearing a Valentino Fall 2012 ivory knee-length dress with embroidered detailing, long sleeves, and an A-line skirt.

Known for her sophisticated styling, the look falls flat with both the choice of clutch and footwear.

Her black Valentino pyramid-studded clutch and teal crystal-embellished platform slingbacks don’t work with the dress for me.

I would’ve preferred the nude version below, or even the white runway heels.

Everything else from her chic bun to her flawless makeup, especially that rich red lip shade, I did love.

Cartier jewels completed the look.
