Rose Byrne In Chanel – 2013 Chanel Pre-Oscar Dinner

Rose Byrne started celebrating the 2013 Academy Awards early on Saturday night at the Chanel Pre-Oscar Dinner held at Madeo Restaurant in Los Angeles.

The ‘I Give It a Year’ star wore a black and silver knit dress from Chanel Spring 2013.

Rose went for an “x marks the spot” look in a two-toned dress, but I think the placement of the design doesn’t quite do her figure justice. The style is a bit bland for Rose, who looks beautiful in designs with more colour, like this plum hue.

She added an element of brightness to the look via white and gold matching pumps and clutch, also from Chanel.

I typically like Rose’s natural makeup style, but I think the darkness of the dress calls for a brightening red lip, like she did so beautifully in this black Chanel number.

Rose Byrne In Valentino – 2013 SAG Awards

Among a sea of black, white, and metallic gowns, Rose Byrne stood out in an oversized floral print at Sunday’s SAG Awards.

A camelon of red carpet styles, the ‘I Give It a Year’ star looked refreshingly spring-like in a ruffled colour palette of yellow, coral and seafoam from Valentino Resort 2013.

To allow the major ruffles and bold pattern be the stars of the red carpet, the actress opted for understated jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels and a simple Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch.

To complete the glam style, Rose went with a retro-inspired beauty look with a bright pink pout and sculpted waves.

Rose Byrne In Balenciaga – ‘I Give It A Year’ London Premiere

Rose Byrne opted for a simple, yet elegant look on the red carpet tonight for the London premiere of her latest movie, ‘I Give It A Year’.

Wearing a pretty Balenciaga pink dress with a cowl-neckline and nipped in waist, she styled the look with an interesting ivory Thale Blanc decorated clutch, Dana Rebecca jewels and Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ pumps.

I haven’t been a fan of many of the footwear choices today, and that continues here as I think her pumps are too heavy for her minimalist look.

Soft waves, rosy cheeks (no doubt enhance by the cold weathe) and a pink lip colour completed her look.

Rose Byrne In Jill Stuart – ‘I Give It A Year’ Sydney Premiere

After attending the G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala over the weekend, Rose Byrne was back home in Australia to attend the premiere of her latest movie, ‘I Give It A Year’, held at the Event Cinema George Street in Sydney.

The pretty brunette wore a Jill Stuart Fall 2012 dress.

Her berry dress, with a sheer top and leather skirt, was styled with black Casadei pumps with a cream trim and the signature ‘Blade’ heel, a black Kotur clutch, an Adeler ring and Misaki earrings.

A simple updo and barely-there makeup completed her look.

The soft leather skirt adds an edge to her sleeveless shirt dress with an intense hue; I just wish her accessories had a bit more bite.

Rose Byrne In Diane von Furstenberg – 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala

Rose Byrne barely cracked a smile as she posed on the red carpet for yesterday evening’s 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala, hosted at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

Perhaps the Australian actress was doubting her incredibly bold exit from Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring 2013 collection.

The navy blue sleeveless top with keyhole detail and narrow-cut trouser featured a confident, if not slightly eye-crossing, application of gemstone embellishment that was nearly as busy as the step-and-repeat behind her.

Rose matched the look with a blue satin Christian Louboutin clutch and Charlotte Olympia platform heels.

Thankfully, she pulled her hair into a simple low side bun so her strands didn’t interfere with the clutter of her look.

All in all, it was a cool twist on the printed pattern trend. But I wonder if it would have been less dizzying if Rose had just worn the pant paired with a different top to break the monotony.
