Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Elle Fanning suited up for the ‘Ginger & Rosa’ premiere at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.

For the event, the actress chose a trouser suit from the Miu Miu Fall 2012 collection.

The more I look at Elle in this outfit, the more I like it.

Sure she may be referencing The Joker from ‘Batman’ or (god forbid) Austin Powers, but she’s young and quirky and now’s the time to experiment.

I am grateful though, that she didn’t add the tie or eye makeup pictured in the runway look.

Instead Elle finished her ensemble with with long blonde locks, platform lace-ups and a dewy glow.

Jennifer Lawrence joined Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’ at the Toronto Film Festival last night.

For the event, Jennifer wore a navy blue dress from the Christian Dior Resort 2013 collection.

Jennifer doesn’t often take a style misstep on the red carpet, but we’re not completely hooked by this look.

The dress is perfect – youthful and on trend – but I’m not feeling the accessories or the hair and makeup.

The Dior clutch is innocuous, but could’ve been swapped for something more fun – the same goes for the platform slingbacks.

Her hair could also look neater and the eyeliner could’ve been employed with a little more restraint.

Selena Gomez went for va-va-voom for the ‘Spring Breakers’ photocall during the Toronto Film Festival yesterday afternoon.

The actress chose a form-fitting Dolce & Gabbana dress for the occasion.

Like her co-star Vanessa Hudgens, Selena has gone for a very grown up look here. And as much as I’d like to fault her on it, I can’t.

The leopard print could’ve been considered tacky if the dress had ended above her knee. The bust may also be a little revealing, but the emphasis is taken away by her free flowing hair.

The Jimmy Choo Lance sandals and light bronze make up are a winning addition.

Kirsten Dunst attended the premiere of ‘On The Road’ at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this week.

The actress chose a blush Christian Dior gown for the event.

Both Kirsten and the gown are beautiful, but I’m not convinced they go together.

Although the dress is a great shape and fit on Kirsten, the hue seems to make her fair skin look far pinker than it actually is.

The hairstyle also looks a tad little-girlish, though the Swarovski hair pin is a nice touch – as is the Van Cleef & Arpels Lotus ring, but I’m not feeling that dark lip either.

Madisen Beaty was feeling blue on the red carpet for the premiere of ‘The Master’ at the Toronto Film Festival last night.

The actress Naeem Khan Spring 2012 ink blue crystal-beaded faille dress with pleated skirt and open back for the event.

It’s can be tricky to wear pattern on the red carpet, but Madisen has come up with winner.

The length and colour work well on her plus the gold sandals are a sweet addition.
