“Johnny English Reborn” World Premiere

Rosamund Pike and Gillian Anderson joined Rowan Atkinson for the World Premiere of their new movie, “Johnny English Reborn” at The Entertainment Quarter in Sydney, Australia yesterday.

It was quite literally a tale of two dresses.

Rosamund Pike: The blonde British actress looked like she didn’t get the Premiere memo, because she was more beach-ready than red carpet ready. She wore a white crochet short sleeved Alaia Spring 2011 dress with a red underlay. This red dress matched her Charlotte Olympia Dolores quilted pumps and red lip colour.

Gillian Anderson: The American actress decided on a more glamorous approach, as she wore a beautiful wine-coloured velvet gown with a plunging neckline.

So which summer blockbuster World Premiere red carpet look works better for you?

Rosamund, because she’s summer appropriate and having fun at this comedy Premiere, or Gillian because she dressed the part for a World Premiere?

Rosamund Pike In Alexander McQueen – “The Devil’s Double” London Premiere

Rosamund Pike attended the London Premiere of her new movie, “The Devil’s Double” at the Vue West End.

The British actress opted to wear a British designer like many other stars last night.

Her Alexander McQueen tweed dress from the Fall 2011 collection with two front slits on the skirt was paired with black peep-toes.

Rosamund’s winter white Alexander McQueen dress is highlighted at the waist with a gleaming metal zipper, which can be easily mistaken for a belt in the long shot of this picture.

The second I saw Rosamund in this dress I immediately thought of Maria Sharapova who is also a huge fan of McQueen.

The major difference is that Maria would’ve put more effort into her hair and make-up plus she would’ve picked a more interesting pair of shoes.

All these elements are lacking when it comes to Rosamund, but thankfully the dress speaks for itself.

Who Wore Christopher Kane Better? Rosamund Pike or Alexa Chung

It’s the battle of the Brits wearing a Brit designer.

Rosamund Pike dazzled on the red carpet at the “Barney’s Version” New York Premiere last month wearing a Christopher Kane galaxy print dress from the Resort 2011 collection.

The edgy silk empire line dress with a black leather yoke was paired with black tights, black pumps and an Alexander McQueen python skull clutch.

Alexa Chung broke out a bottle of Herbal Essences before hitting the red carpet at the 2011 NME Awards which was held in London this week.

Like Rosamund she also wore tights and black heels.

As much as it pains me to admit it, I prefer the dress on Alexa.

Her dark hair and sultry eyes work better with this look.

Rosamund Pike In Azzaro – London Film Critics’ Circle Awards

Azzaro continues to get a lot of celebrity love on the red carpet.

Rosamund Pike walked the red carpet at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards held at the BFI Southbank last night wearing an Azzaro Spring 2011 mini dress

Her white wrap dress with embellished scalloped edges and a signature black bow belt was paired with black Christian Louboutin peep-toes and a box clutch.

The British actress has a great legs and this dress was the perfect way to showcase them.
