Best Dressed Of The Week – Diane Kruger In Donna Karan Atelier & Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Couture

BDOTW 2 march

Red was the colour of the week as the majority of our favourites donned the colour on Oscar night.

Emma Stone’s 100% record of winning best dressed polls was finally broken by the one and only Diane Kruger, who took our breath away in a crimson Donna Karan Atelier jumpsuit.

After a truly lacklustre awards season, Rosamund Pike finally gave us something to smile about on Oscar night, wearing a stunning Givenchy Couture gown. Had she been an Olympic hurdler, this would’ve been her jumping the final hurdle before crossing the finishing line having knocked over all of the previous hurdles.

With Eddie Redmayne suppressing his love for colour and patterns this awards season, my favourite by far was David Oyelowo for standing out in his bold red Dolce & Gabbana, while you went for the classic elegance of the dashing Chris Pine.

Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Couture – 2015 Oscars

Rosamund Pike In Givenchy - 2015 Oscars

Rosamund Pike was another lady in red at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

I was delighted to see that the ‘Gone Girl’ Best Actress nominee continued her rise back to the top that we first saw at Friday’s Women in Film pre-Oscar party.

This vivacious crimson Givenchy Couture number created a visual spark on the red carpet with its dimensional, intricate embroidery sexily cinched in with a visible corset.

A front slit completed the gown’s sultry hourglass appeal and showed off her matching sandals.

Rosamund finished the sassy-elegant look in minimal fashion—dainty Lorraine Schwartz earrings, alongside a swept-back bun and barely-there rose-tinged makeup were all she needed.

Rosamund Pike In Giambattista Valli – 8th Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Rosamund Pike In Giambattista Valli - 8th Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Rosamund Pike attended the 8th annual Women In Film pre-Oscar cocktail party held at HYDE Sunset: Kitchen + Cocktails on Friday (February 20) in West Hollywood, California.

Finally, praise the lord, hallelujah, a look from the British actress which doesn’t bore me to tears.

I have made no secret of being thoroughly disappointed by her style this awards season, but this Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2015 gown brimming with botanical charm and delicate ruffles sees her back to her ‘Jack Reacher’ promo tour best.

Decidedly pretty with a sense of Parisian vivacité, I hope she can keep to this standard on Sunday night.

Rosamund Pike In Chloé – The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Rosamund Pike In Chloé - The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Rosamund Pike has had a very underwhelming run this awards seasons, but the look she wore on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Thursday (February 12) managed to pique my interest.

The ‘Gone Girl’ actress brought Parisian refinery to her repertoire, wearing a Chloe Pre-Fall 2015 dress in a warm cream hue enhanced with burnt-orange lace embroidery, which she styled with Brian Atwood sandals.

Simple and easy with an air of joie de vivre, it’s refreshing to see her not wearing black and finally taking that finger off the snooze button.

Rosamund Pike In Roland Mouret – 2015 BAFTAs

Rosamund Pike In Roland Mouret - 2015 BAFTAs

Rosamund Pike attended the 2015 BAFTAs held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 8) in London, England.

The actress, who frankly has had the most uninspiring run in award season history, wore a black, bespoke Roland Mouret halter dress with subtle details, including signature folds. It wasn’t much to shout about.

Considering she was at home and this is the penultimate hurdle before the big one on February 22, I expected more. Way more.

On the plus side, her Bulgari earrings are to die for.

Louis Vuitton ‘Series 2’ The Exhibition

Louis Vuitton1

Louis Vuitton hosted their ‘Series 2’ The Exhibition in Hollywood, California, on Thursday (February 5), inviting their favourite girls along with a whole host of stars, some wearing the luxury label for the first time.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress put her best ankle boot forward, standing out head and shoulders above the herd wearing an intricately embroidered lavender leather LV look styled with her ever-present LV clutch. Just when the union was starting to wane, this look sees my love reignited.

Michelle Williams: Having lent her face to Louis Vuitton several times now, the actress continues to manage to balance her dainty style with an edgier vibe in the brand’s unique pieces. Working a Zosia Mamet-esque hairstyle, the part-printed frock was styled with ice-white sandals.

Dianna Agron: My words are few for this look: No and what were you thinking? From the contrasting garish prints and the granny tights, I would only save the bag from this look.
