Calvin Klein Spring 2015 Front Row

Calvin Klein Spring 2015 Front Row

Francisco Costa presented his Spring 2015 Calvin Klein Collection on the runway at Spring Studios during New York Fashion Week on Thursday (September 11), with Sarah Jessica Parker and Rooney Mara – who is the face of the DOWNTOWN Calvin Klein fragrance – perched in the front row.

Sarah Jessica Parker: Just as temperatures were beginning to dip in New York, SJP turned up the heat in this breathtaking Calvin Klein Resort 2015 belted trench coat. Thoroughly contemporary in style, colour, exposed zipper detailing and fabrication, her look had me drooling on impact. The only thing which could’ve pulled down this look was a cross-body bag, so thankfully she opted for a black Calvin Klein clutch instead, with additional bracelets and black pumps completing her look. This is a BDOTW-worthy look for me, but I could be blinded by the fact that she’s wearing my favourite colour, so what do you think?

Rooney Mara: The actress merged her two favourite colours, black and white, for her FROW look. I love the cosy nature of her Fall 2014 knitted sleeveless frock accented with a free-flowing sheer skirt, but you won’t be surprised that the heavy boots don’t work for me. However, the styling is perfectly in tune with what we expect from the actress. Will you be giving the ankle boots a pass?

Rooney Mara In Calvin Klein Collection – Calvin Klein Celebrate Women In Film

Rooney Mara In Calvin Klein Collection - Calvin Klein Celebrate Women In Film

Rooney Mara attended the IFP, Calvin Klein Collection & Euphoria Calvin Klein celebration of Women In Film this evening (May 15) in Cannes, France.

The face of Calvin Klein’s ‘Downtown’ fragrance gave us no surprises, wearing a white Calvin Klein custom dress inspired by the Spring 2014 collection. As we know, if it’s not white, it’s black.

Featuring a crescent-shaped bandeau bodice, tonal fringe around the waist, and straight-cut skirt, she styled the look with matching Calvin Klein sandals.

Working a signature dark-rouge lip, she lightened up on the extreme bun, working an updo with wavy pieces falling down one side of her face.

Rooney Mara In Chanel – 29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Rooney Mara In Chanel - 29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Rooney Mara attended the 29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where Cate Blanchett picked up the ‘Outstanding Performer of the Year’ award on Saturday (February 1) in Santa Barbara, California.

Dressed in her favourite colour; black, Rooney wore a loose-fit Chanel cold-shoulder knit dress with lace trims.

We are used to seeing Rooney navigate trickier looks than this, so how do you feel about this change of pace?

Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ sandals, barely there makeup and gold rings rounded out her simple look.

Rooney Mara In Balenciaga – ‘The One I Love’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Rooney Mara In Balenciaga - 'The One I Love' Sundance Film Festival PremiereRooney Mara attended the premiere of ‘The One I Love’ on Tuesday (January 21) at The Marc Theatre during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

The actress wore her go-to colour—black—opting for a Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2014 oversized, black pullover with molded, lattice-weave sleeves.

While the sporty sweater was compelling on the model when styled with a graphic-print skirt, the statement top fell a bit flat with Rooney’s baggier black pants and nondescript black boots.

A messy, unkempt ’do did nothing to warm my affection towards this look, which was just a bit too dressed down, even for Sundance. A few small tweaks, and this could have been chic rather than sloppy.

Diane Von Furstenberg’s Journey Of A Dress Exhibition

Diane Von Furstenberg's Journey Of A Dress Exhibition 1The opening-party premiere of Diane Von Furstenberg’s ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition brought out a constellation of fashionable femmes (and fans) to preview the show at the Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles, California on Friday (January 10). Naturally, all the girls had on the best DVF designs.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Putting some sizzle into her strut, the actress vamped it up just a bit in a wrap jumpsuit, accented with a satin ribbon tie at the side. I found myself liking this sexy and streamlined approach from Gwynnie, especially with that magenta-pink lip. Yes, the plunge neckline is significant, but she’s perhaps one of the few that can make it work to her advantage.

Allison Williams: Looking as classically chic as ever, the ‘Girls’ starlet was oh-so-mod in a monochromatic ‘Amelia’ wrap dress with a flirty, graphic-patterned twirl skirt, from the Spring 2014 collection. She put a twist on the still-trending white pump with her Jimmy Choo ‘Madien’ pumps that were accented with a black ankle-strap and heel. Raising the girly look to a vintage-glam level, she styled her hair into a retro faux bob and painted on a deep-red lip.

Rooney Mara: The actress stayed in her black comfort zone in an asymmetrical dress topped off with a black satin ribbon. A tightly swept-back ‘do and oxblood lip added a more severe note to the loose frock—so, too, did the strange, one-shoulder jacket sleeve.
