Robin Wright In Kate Spade Saturday - ‘House Of Cards’ Season 2 Screening

Robin Wright joined Kate Mara and Constance Zimmer on the red carpet for the ‘House Of Cards’ season 2 screening held at the Directors Guild of America on Thursday (February 13) in Los Angeles, California.

With Constance going for color and Kate working embellishments, Robin kept it simple wearing a black Kate Spade Saturday black jumpsuit.

Her silk-satin look with a trapeze top was simply styled with black ankle strap pumps.

Robin Wright In Reem Acra - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Robin Wright looked positively statuesque on the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverley Hills Hilton this evening (January 12).

The ‘House of Cards’ star wore a slinky, gold dress from Reem Acra Fall 2014 and Dana Rebecca Designs stud earrings finished off with a nude sandal and a chocolate brown and gold clutch.

The fabric is a touch wrinkled, which is a shame because it distracts from the true highlight of the outfit – how amazing Robin’s body is. Although it’s not visible in this picture, the dress has a low back and is spectacular from behind.

It’s also worth noting that Robin was one of the first celebrities to embrace the now ubiquitous short hair trend and she carries it incredibly well.

Elegant as always.

AFI Awards 2014 Red Carpet Roundup

Plenty more stars joined Amy Adams, Kate Mara, and Lupita Nyong’o at the 14th annual AFI Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills this afternoon (January 10).

Julianna Margulies: The ‘The Good Wife’ star looked chic in black and white donning an Oscar de la Renta blouse and L’Wren Scott pencil skirt with copper Christian Louboutin ointy-toed heels and coordinating clutch and a simple chignon.

Melonie Diaz: The ‘Fruitville Station’ star wore a Honor Spring 2014 dress and worked two spring trends in one–lace and monochromatic white. She paired the dress with a Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ suede pumps. A deep side part in her hair and sweet pink lips completed the look.

Christina Hendricks: The ‘Mad Men’ star went for subtle color-blocking in a soft blue Boden sweater over a seafoam Dolce & Gabbana skirt. Classic nude Jimmy Choo pumps and a metallic clutch completed the look.

Robin Wright

Robin Wright was among the stars who attended the 2013 Emmy Awards.

The ‘House of Cards’ actress wore a sleek Ralph Lauren Fall 2013 gown.

While the intriguing graphic bodice of this gown has lots of visual appeal, it doesn’t save this total look from being a bit drab in my opinion.

Robin is never one for showy makeup, but I think a bright lip would have really brightened up her look.

As it is, this just doesn’t do much for me.

Do you agree? What do you think would have added a bit of oomph to the look?

Pixie Cut Trend

When Beyonce chopped off her hair last week, it was one of the most shocking celebrity haircuts in quite a while. In all honesty, the cut was likely a combination of removing extensions and cutting some hair, but the results were surprisingly (Sasha) Fierce, and I’m excited to see Queen Bey rock her shorter ‘do–especially since many people associate her entire persona with her gorgeous long hair.

And right on Mrs. Carter’s heels was another dramatic hair change: Model Coca Rocha cut her mid-length tresses into a edgy cut–super short around the sides with a bit more length on the top. Keeping the extra length on the top will allow for lots of variety at photoshoots (as Coco has already revealed via Instagram), and the shorter length shows off the model’s striking bone structure far more than her previous look.

By cutting off their locks, these two ladies have joined the ranks of stars who have dared to go super short.

Robin Wright has been rocking a pixie for about a year now, and she showed off her low maintenance crop once again this week on the red carpet.

And Ginnifer Goodwin, who has one of the most famous (and long-lasting) pixie cuts in Hollywood loves her short cut so much that she actually writes it into her filming contracts–she gets to keep the hair short and wear wigs for roles!

To keep your own pixie looking chic day after day, use Short Sexy Hair Quick Change Shaping Balm to create a style that is easily reactivated the next day, and to shape your hair and hold it in place, Oscar Blandi’s Pronto Dry Sculpting Pomade is a great option. If it’s moisture and shine you want, try Carol’s Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey.

So what do you think? Are all these ladies rocking the short hair, or do you prefer them with longer locks?
