2014 Hollywood Film Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

2014 Hollywood Film Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Lest we forget the gents who took to the red carpet for the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards on Friday (November 14).

Channing Tatum: Escorting his good lady wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, the actor looked so very handsome in his Gucci navy notch-lapel three-piece New Signoria suit with a white shirt, navy silk tie and black leather lace-up shoes. Tatum and Gucci continues to be a winning combination.

Jared Leto: The Oscar-winning actor opted for a smart double-breasted suit from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2014 collection. I love the styling of this look – yep, even the white Christian Louboutin New Platers Fiori shoes. I love how he can always marry looking smart with being uber cool.

Eddie Redmayne: The British actor joined his Alexander McQueen-clad ‘Theory of Everything’ co-star, Felicity Jones, at this event, looking as dapper as ever. Cut to perfection, his midnight-blue Valentino tuxedo with contrasting black lapels is yet another look for his hall of fame. I love the dual-colour pocket square. Sometimes it’s the little things that make an outfit.

Rob Pattinson In Gucci – 7th Annual GO GO Gala

Rob Pattinson In Gucci - 7th Annual GO GO Gala

It looks like I was a bit hasty to bring menswear to a close as I forgot Robert Pattinson.

The British actor attended the 7th annual GO GO Gala held at Montage Beverly Hills on Thursday (November 13) in California wearing Gucci Fall 2014 uber-cool espresso hued wool crepe notch lapel Dylan suit, styled with a pale blue dress shirt and brown leather lace ups.

The overall look is smart with a laidback vibe.

I must admit I am quite taken by the colour. It would seem shades of brown in menswear are winning me over this week.

The real news here is his hair. A drastic cut to say the least, but is it for a movie role, or did he just lose a bet?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick look at the dapper gents attending New York and Toronto Film Festival premieres this week.

Douglas Booth: The handsome continues to prove why we often hand him a best dressed title each time he steps out on the red carpet. With navy being the colour of the moment in menswear, the actor sets his own pace opting for a green Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit styled with an Armani timepiece to the ‘Riot Club’ Toronto Film Festival premiere.

Rob Pattinson: The British actor was also staying true to his favourite brand: Gucci. I do love it when guys do something a bit different. Here Rob styles his navy notch-lapel two-button Marseille suit with a navy evening shirt and brown leather lace-ups while attending the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of ‘Maps Of The Stars’ on Tuesday (September 9). The colours couldn’t be more perfect as we slowly move towards autumn and the suit, as always, was a perfect fit. The usual dishevelment gave way to sleeker grooming, so this gets a thumbs up all round from me.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Gina Rodriguez In LaQuan Smith, Nina Dobrev In Vionnet, Robert Pattinson & Channing Tatum In Gucci

BDOTW 18 Aug

Gina Rodriguez was your best dressed this week wearing a navy-blue LaQuan Smith dress. No doubt you were enamoured not only with the dress, but also the styling of this look.

My vote went to Nina Dobrev in Vionnet, with Elle Fanning, Odeya Rush and Taylor Swift – who coincidentally all wore red this week – all running closely for joint second place.

Nina was my eventual winner, because I love the sweet sassiness of her look; the mix of colour and those Kurt Geiger pink pumps pretty much sealed the win.

When it came to the guys, Robert Pattinson in his classic Gucci suit was your favourite, whereas I opted for the charming all-grey Gucci suit worn by Channing Tatum.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear 15 August

Gents have been scrubbing up nicely on the red carpet this week. Here is a quick roundup.

James Marsden: The actor was back and looking sharper than ever, attending the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet wearing a Z Zegna grey two-button notched-lapel suit styled with tan Givenchy laceups. I’m missing a tie thanks to the charming navy print pocket square.

Channing Tatum: The actor also opted for some shades of grey, donning a Gucci windowpane two-button notched-lapel suit styled with a white dress shirt and steel-grey tie, with black laceups rounding out his dapper look.

Robert Pattinson: Having disappointed many of you with his last look, it appears Rob made a conscious effort on this occasion, looking very handsome, in his usual slightly dishevelled way, donning a classic black Gucci suit. I love the shimmering black tie and the maroon laceups for two out-of-the-box touches.

Robert Pattinson In Gucci – ‘The Rover’ Photocall & Screening

Robert Pattinson In Gucci - 'The Rover' Photocall & Screening

Robert Pattinson attended ‘The Rover’ photocall prior to the screening with a Q & A session held at the BFI Southbank on Wednesday (August 6) in London, England.

The face of Dior Homme fragrance, Robert still favours Gucci for his red carpet appearances, on this occasion donning a bordeaux suede Gucci bomber jacket and completing his casual look with a white tee, a partially unbuttoned steel-blue shirt and black jeans – in short, his usual slightly dishevelled but lovable self.

Black Adidas Originals ‘Nizza’ canvas sneakers completed his look.
