Rita Ora In Marchesa – 2015 Oscars

87th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Rita Ora is one of the featured performers at the 2015 Oscars, and as such, she took to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday (February 22).

Exuding drama in spades, the British songstress was the picture of opulent grandeur in a Marchesa midnight corset gown with gold-leaf embroidery.

Gorgeous Bulgari and Lorraine Schwartz jewels were rightfully in alignment with the magnificence of the dress and its long train.

Just as notable about this sculptural statement is that it oozed sophisticated without Rita’s sometimes-questionable style theatrics.

Plus, I loved the modernity delivered by her sleek, white-platinum pixie and nude lip.

Tom Ford Fall 2015 Front Row

Tom Ford Fall 2015 Front Row

While some editors and models were headed to London for round two of fashion month, Anna Wintour, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls headed west for the Tom Ford Fall 2015 show which was showcased in LA on Friday (February 20).

The result, a packed A-List front row of which nineteen looks have been featured.

With the Oscars on Sunday and with everyone in town, it was quite a master-stroke to host the show in LA this weekend.

TOM’S FAVOURITES
Julianne Moore: The actress was no doubt top of the guest list working a Spring 2015 green ensemble festooned with feathers, sequins and camo print. I would not bet against Julianne wearing Tom Ford on Sunday despite the Givenchy run up.

Gwyneth Paltrow: I expected a bit more from Gwynie. This cold shoulder Pre-Fall 2015 LBD feels a bit been there done that and boring for such an occasion.

The Carters: He was looking mighty dapper in a signature wide lapel suit, while she was looking bootylicious in a typically sheer embellished Spring 2014 creation.

Rita Ora In Dsquared² – GQ Celebrates The Grammys With Giorgio Armani

Rita Ora In Dsquared² - GQ Celebrates The Grammys With Giorgio Armani

Rita Ora attended the GQ and Giorgio Armani Grammys After Party held at the Hollywood Athletic Club on Sunday (February 8) in Hollywood, California.

It would appear that many of you, like me, expected so much more from Rita at the Grammy Awards, so this festive look goes some way to banishing that disappointment.

On this occasion she went for colour and flair, wearing a Dsquared² flower-print Pre-Fall 2015 dress possessing everything we expect from the singer: flamboyance and sass appeal.

The length is uber short, but my eyes fell firmly on her highlighter-yellow Giuseppe Zanotti Design knotted sandals, which really elevated the look.

Rita Ora In Prada – 2015 Grammy Awards

Rita Ora In Prada - 2015 Grammy Awards_

Rita Ora made a glittering entrance at the 2015 Grammy Awards, hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (February 8).

Dripping in silver sequins, the British songstress sparkled from every angle in a Prada semi-sheer, long-sleeve gown.

This was an elegantly glam and covered-up outing for Rita who still brought a shot of her signature edge via Lorraine Schwartz ear cuffs, a smoky kohl eye, and the same piece-y, platinum ’do seen at the Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute event.

Rita Ora In Emilio Pucci – Pre-GRAMMY Gala And Salute Honouring Martin Bandier

Rita Ora In Emilio Pucci - Pre-GRAMMY Gala And Salute Honouring Martin Bandier

Skipping the Roc Nation brunch, Rita Ora attended the Pre-GRAMMY Gala And Salute To Industry Icons Honouring Martin Bandier on Saturday (February 7) in Los Angeles, California where she was one of the guest performers.

Showcasing yet another new hairstyle while maintaining her favoured red lip, the singer and ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ actress wore an Emilio Pucci white silk cady long-sleeve gown with grommet adorned cut-outs from the Pre-Fall 2015 Collection.

Cleverly placed cut-outs reveal a hint of skin that’s balanced by the long sleeves and floor length silhouette. The silver-tone grommets add drama, which she complemented with a stack of silver rings.

Was this a win for Rita?
