“Sky Crawlers” Special Screening, Toyko

Rinko Kikuchi is still sporting her YSL Fall 2008 bowl style hairstyle, but lets face it, she does wear it well.

The actress arrived at this event wearing a strapless black Sophia Kokosalaki Fall 2008 dress, which is so beautiful with its dramatically sculptured silhouette of twisted waves.

Her heels are from the same collection.

MTV Asia Awards 2008, Malaysia

Winner of Breakthrough Artist Leona Lewis, donned a Sonia Rykiel Fall 2008 black gown with a pack of wild horses print on the bottom.

She performed her hit singles Better In Time and Bleeding Love at this event.

Stephanie Sun was also a winner at this event.

The Burberry Prorsum Fall 2008 clad singer took home the gold bar for Favorite Artist of Singapore.

‘Der Stein’ Premiere At Salzburg Festival, Austria

There was a time when I had a huge girl crush on Eva Green.

The Dior muse was always immaculate on the red carpet in John Galliano’s designs, looking every inch the Parisian Gothic princess she is.

It looks like she has deflected from Dior for once, to wear this Valentino Fall 2008 gown.

Unfortunately the gown is not really working for her, and that is mostly because you can see her bra through the demi-sheer panels of the dress.

I think this would have worked better has Eva worn this dress without the bra, as it appeared on the runway. The actress is not known for being shy.

2008 Teen Choice Awards Pre-Party, LA

Lauren Conrad wore a white sheath Mason dress to this event, which she accessorized with a thin black belt.

The look was complete with black Christian Louboutin peep-toes, two pendant necklaces and some bangles.

Lauren Bosworth wore an interestingly flirty Ina Soltani cocktail dress. The dress has a white leather bustier cup top, and multi-coloured ikat print skirt.

This print seems to be very popular at the moment.

Monique Coleman wore her pink halter polka dot belted Alice + Olivia dress, with burgundy peep-toes.

Brittany Snow adopted an edgier look for this event, wearing a black PVC mini skirt, a white tank with studded heels.

I love Kaycee Stroh’s pink peep-toes and grey clutch, as they compliment her trapeze dress perfectly.

Kung Fu Panda Premiere, LA

Lucy Liu is wearing a cute pink John Galliano Spring 2008 tiered cocktail dress.

The haltered dress is embellished with silver sequins, which Lucy accessorizes with a sliver clutch and silver gladiator sandals.

MTV Video Music Awards, Japan

Paris Hilton is wearing another Betsey Johnson dress.

This turquoise strapless sweetheart neck-lined ruffled and tiered dress is quintessentially Paris, fluffy and over the top.

She completes her look with a pink bag and pink Christian Dior Fall 2007 platformed heels.

Fergie is officially the first to wear Calvin Klein Resort 2009, by choosing a cast python standing collar chest flap coat.

Tho coat is nice, but those boots are amazing.

Rinko Kikuchi is wearing blue YSL Fall 2008 dress, with a velvet bodice.

She has worn a few pieces from YSL recently, and is clearly in love with this collection so much, that she has copied the styling from the runway.

Her bowl-cut hairstyle, is the same as the models the Fall 2008 runway for YSL.

Spike TV’s 2nd Annual “Guys Choice” Awards, LA

Cameron Diaz won “Decade of Hotness” at this award ceremony, which she gratefully accepted in her orange mini dress, with ruffles cascading down the front.

For her tresses, she sported her usual messy updo.

If I was to give her an award it would be for her legs. Only Fergie rivals her in that department.

Eva Mendes won “Hottest Eva” wearing a strapless white lace Christian Dior Spring 2008 dress.

Megan Fox collected her award for the “Next Big Thing” wearing this canary yellow gathered Bradley Bayou dress.

She is wearing the same Christian Louboutin Catenita Cork Sandals as she wore to the MTV Movie Awards.

7th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, LA

Eva Mendes is also wearing a ruffled dress.

Her black dress is tied with a white ribbon, which she matches with her heels.

This is a very elegant ‘ladies who lunch’ look for Katherine Heigl.

The lilac Hugo Boss dress has a gathered detail to accentuate Katherine’s waist, without the aid of a belt.

What really completes this look, are her vintage pearls.

Kate Walsh sure is hot in her strapless red Escada belted dress.

I am loving Rebecca Gayheart’s mustard maxi Kaufman Franco Spring 2008 dress, with tanned leather detail on the neckline. This is a very different look for the actress.

I do prefer her hair darker.

I am feeling very underwhelmed looking at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher here. They are not giving off that sexy vibe they normal exuded.

Maybe it’s Ashton’s overgrown, unkempt beard that is not working for me.

Emily Deschanel wears her gold metallic coat as a dress. I would have preferred strappy sandals to the pumps she is wearing.

Stephen Webster Silver Collection Launch Event, PURE at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

Christina Aguilera is practically popping out of her Hervé Léger Bandage dress.

Eeek at the veins.

Metropolitan Opera “La Fille Du Regiment” Opening Night, New York

Finally, Emmy Rossum is wearing something that is not baby pink, pastel blue or canary yellow.

Regular readers will know that I have been tiring of Emmy’s cutesy/prom style for a long while. Last night she looked ultra sexy in a YSL Fall 2007 ruffled strapless mini dress.

Leighton Meester wears a mustard YSL Pre-Fall 2008 dress, which is a slight modification of the much worn grey YSL dress from the Spring 2008 collection.

Love the dress and make-up, hate the hair.

Oh Diane Kruger, how I have missed you on the red carpet. Uber glamourous, as usual in YSL Couture.

Naomi Campbell and YSL designer, Stefano Pilati arrived at this event together sparking rumours that the blackberry throwing diva, will star in his Fall 2008 advertising campaign.

Naomi is wearing a tuxedo ensemble from the YSL Fall 2008 which is a surprisingly masculine look for her.

Whether this is a campaign preview, we will have to wait see.

I like Eva Mendes’ dress, but not the black hem, as it’s too distracting on this strapless YSL gown.

Girlfriend needs to work on her posing, that pout looks very strange.

Ginnifer Goodwin is one of the unsung heroines of the red carpet. She looks effortlessly chic as always.

I wish Paula Patton had paid as much attention to styling her hair, as she did picking out this gorgeous silk fuschia YSL Spring 2008 one-shouldered gown.

On anyone else this dress would have been a disaster. On Rinko Kikuchi it perfectly suits her quirky sense of style.

The hair is another issue. It looks like a very bad toupe.

“Then She Found Me” Screening, New York

Sarah Jessica Parker how I love thee, let me count the ways.

Dress, shoes ♥, hair…perfection all the way.

Although I do like Victoria Beckham’s matchy style. I do love how SJP rocks ruby peep-toes with a floral dress.

Would you have thought of that?

Me neither.

Best Dressed/Chris De Burgh, Lady In Red Award – Nicole Kidman she was stunning in this red Balenciaga dress. I wish she had maybe put up her hair but the colour and fit was perfect for her.

Best Dressed Award Winner Award – Helen Mirren in Christian Lacroix. I said WOW when I saw this dress, it’s so perfect for the Oscar winner, the colour and the feminine floatness of the dress made her shine.

Greatest Gainer Award – Penelope Cruz in Versace. I loved Penelope when I first saw her then they panned down and then I recoiled in horror, but as the night wore on and I saw the dress in motion and the pictures I actually now like it.

Best Metallic Award – Cate Blanchett is wearing a silver, one-shouldered Armani Prive. I like this dress but it did not wow me. I was hoping for more from Blanchett…She should have saved her Berlin Film Festival Givenchy dress for this occasion.

Best Black, Best Curves, Most Flattering Award – Queen Latifah in Carmen Marc Valvo. The black gown with horizontal lines would normally make someone look – please forgive me – wider, but the black sleekness made Latifah sexy and voluptuous.

Best Colour Award – Reese Witherspoon in Nina Ricci. I would not have chosen this colour for Reese but it is very dramatic and works well on her. Being single is working for her stylewise, she is really working it.

Jennifer Lopez “Ass That Won’t Quit” Award – Anika Noni Rose. The Michelle Williams of the trio is working it here in this beautiful dress.

Best Couple Award – Emily Blunt in Calvin Klein and Michael Buble. They looked great together and she was delightful in this gown. One of the few wows of the night.

Most Improved Award – Rinko Kikuchi in Chanel. I was expecting something Bjork-like from this lady as most of her red carpet dresses have been Wa Waaa. Glad she stepped it up for the big day.

Best Dressed Family Award – The Smiths. Jada managed to look feminine for a change. Will’s gets more Clooney fine every time I see him and his grey hair. Jaden such a cute kid and recovered well when he fluffed his lines.

Best Pregnant Award – Naomi Watts in Escada. She is beautiful and glowing like most pregnant ladies do but the dress was very reminiscent of Cate Blanchett’s 2005 Vera Wang dress

Best Upstage Award – Monica Cruz. Looking fabulous in this powder blue dress.

Risk Taker That Paid Off Award – Eva Green in Givenchy Haute Couture. She is always pushing the boundaries. Sometime it works sometimes it does not, tonight it worked…well for me anyway. She never opts for the boring or obvious.
