Rinko Kikuchi and Rila Fukushima joined Miranda Kerr on the red carpet for the ‘Michael Kors and Miranda Kerr Celebrate Elle Japan’s December Cover’ #MKTOKYO party, held yesterday at the Gallery of Horyuji Treasures of the Tokyo National Museum in Japan.

Rinko Kikuchi: The pixie crop appears to be sweeping the world. Rinko wore a black plonge bustier dress from the Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 collection with Michael Kors jewelry.

Rila Fukushima: Dressed in all black, The Wolverine actress wore a jumpsuit with silver and black belt both from the Michael Kors Fall 2013 collection, with a black leather jacket, silver python barrel clutch and black Avra pumps all from the Michael Kors Pre-fall 2013 collection.

Rinko Kikuchi In Fausto Puglisi - 'Pacific Rim' LA Premiere

Rinko Kikuchi put her best legs forward on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California last night for the premiere of ‘Pacific Rim’.

The Asian beauty, who doesn’t have ‘play it safe’ as part of her vocabulary, donned a Fausto Puglisi Fall 2013 double-slit high-neck dress accented with gold-and-silver embellished details.

Opting for slicked-back hair, a dark-rouge lip colour and no jewels, I can’t help wishing she had worn boots similar to the ones the model is wearing in the look book picture, which add an edge to this sexy frock.

I have worn these same Louboutins to an office job, so they kinda take the gloss off this look for me.

Rinko Kikuchi In Chanel - 'Pacific Rim' London Premiere

Rinko Kikuchi made her second red carpet appearance this week for the ‘Pacific Rim’ premiere held at the BFI IMAX in London yesterday evening.

The Asian actress was once again showcasing her unique take on red carpet fashion, wearing a coil-accented high-neck frock from Chanel’s Fall 2013 collection.

On occasion, Rinko can take things a little too far – remember her Kenzo look? However, on this occasion she opted for simple two-tone Chanel pumps and not the PVC over-the-knee boots we saw on the runway.

Her cropped pixie ‘do was side swept to add some edge to her look, with a pop of colour coming via her fuchsia lip colour.

Rinko Kikuchi In Marios Schwab - 'Pacific Rim' Mexico City Premiere

Rinko Kikuchi attended the ‘Pacific Rim’ Mexico City premiere held at Reforma 222 in Mexico yesterday evening.

I was delighted that the Asian actress opted for one of those difficult-to-wear pieces from the Marios Schwab Fall 2013 collection, which actresses have been avoiding thus far.

Delighted, but not surprised, as Rinko is something of a red carpet daredevil who never takes the easy route.

The long-sleeved eggplant satin gown with a nude sheer yoke and embellished nude skirt with a satin trim was styled with a Mawi amethyst-shard-and-large-crystal choker.

I love the addition of the choker, not only because it looks like part of the gown, but also because it covers the neckline, which would’ve given away the illusion.

Am I alone in wanting to see this up for BDOTW?

Rinko Kikuchi In Kenzo - Opening Ceremony Omotesando Flagship Store Opening

Rinko Kikuchi recently attended the Opening Ceremony Omotesando flagship store opening in Tokyo, Japan.

The usually chic actress slightly overcooked her look on this occasion.

I love the Kenzo Spring 2013 collection as much as Jessica Alba, Beyonce Knowles and Brandy Norwood, but there is just too much going on here for my liking.

Pairing the yellow clouded-print jacket and skirt would’ve sufficed; however, she also added a Kenzo cloud-print scarf, Kenzo lizard-embossed bag and Kenzo animal-print platform sandals into the mix.

Even Solange Knowles would say no to this much print going on in one look.

Here are six more looks from the celebration of Chanel Fine Jewelry’s 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection, created by Gabrielle Chanel, in New York City yesterday evening.

January Jones: After knocking it out of the fashion ballpark at the Emmys, I’m deeply disappointed by January on this occasion. Between the ghostly makeup, low bandeau and the off-white maxi skirt, the best way to sum up this Chanel Fall 2008 Couture look would be “a hot mess”.

Leigh Lezark: It was left to the DJ and FROWer to bring some glamour to proceedings. Leigh looked stunning wearing a black net Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 gown with PVC embroidery which was styled with a matching bolero with a high neckline. A Perspex clutch, a simple updo and barely there makeup save for kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Giovanna Battaglia: The editor gives me a dilemma. Do I look at the shoes or her Chanel Resort 2013 dress first? Because both are screaming for my attention.
