Rihanna In Versace - MAC Hong Kong Opening

Working a new mullet ‘do, Rihanna was in Hong Kong yesterday evening celebrating the opening of a new M.A.C. store.

The singer used the occasion to launch her RiRi Hearts M.A.C. Fall 2013 collection, which is due to hit stores at the end of this month.

She wore an all-white Versace Resort 2014 look, but it was anything but pure. She donned a white cropped turtleneck top with a skirt featuring a high central slit, with Manolo Blahnik heels and silver jewels accessorizing her look.

I have a feeling this may be deemed tacky by some, but there is an acceptable amount of skin on display without stepping into tacky territory for me, plus I love the fresh feeling of the overall look from the colour to the forever-evolving hairstyle.

Rihanna In Saint Laurent Mens - Out In London

Returning to her modish menswear streak, a monochromatic Rihanna couldn’t be missed, as she made the rounds in London, England today.

Refusing to box in her style, the provocative songstress stepped out in a Saint Laurent Menswear Spring 2014 ‘Perfecto’ checquered, black-and-white jacket, paired with black, skinny leather trousers and a leather belt with triangle detail.

A spike-studded choker and rows of door-knocker rings further edged up the rockabilly sensibility, alongside her mullet-inspired ‘do. Another incarnation of the still-strong white Manolo Blahnik
BB leather ankle strap pumps made an appearance, too.

I cannot decide if it’s a good thing or not that the male model on the runway has on more lipstick than RiRi.

Seeing this box-y blazer immediately reminded me of Louis Vuitton’s ubiquitous checquered print trend.

Front Row @ NYFW Weekend Catch Up

Here’s a quick catch up of the front row who caught my eye during New York Fashion Week this weekend.

Ciara @ Prabal Gurung: The singer wore a pretty Prabal Gurung embroidered angular insert dress with a flared silhouette styled with bondage boots courtesy of Casadei, which were presented during the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

Solange Knowles @ Alexander Wang: What’s not to love about Solange’s outfit? The colour, the quirky glasses, the Wang Resort 2014 skirt, that bag and those sexy sandals…? Perhaps it shouldn’t, but it ALL works.

Rihanna @ Opening Ceremony: It’s been a while since we saw Rihanna front row at NYFW, as she tends to skip the shows and head to the after-parties. On Sunday she was front and centre at Opening Ceremony wearing a grey Zac Posen satin floral dress with Underground ‘Wulfrun’ creepers with a Lynn Ban choker. A part of me wants to say it’s ridiculous to pair such a pretty dress with creepers, but I have to say she sells it to me, as per.

Rihanna In adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott - Out In New York City

It rained on Monday in New York City, so cab-hailing Rihanna had to carry an umbrella to keep herself dry with no assistant or doorman to help her.

Her menswear adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott mesh basketball tank top which featured a train probably wasn’t the best choice on this occasion, especially when she was forced to hold it to keep it dry, but when has practicality ever stopped the fashion-loving singer?

The rest of her laidback B-girl look featured colour-coordinated Jordan sneakers, her favourite Chanel choker, Le Specs ‘Bowie’ sunglasses and the same Chloe ‘Baylee’ two-tone bag we’ve seen on the arm of Rita Ora.

Rhianna In Rihanna for River Island - Out In New York City

Rihanna may have opted for a camouflage look when leaving her apartment in New York City yesterday evening, but she was far from being inconspicuous.

The singer, who was headed to JFK to catch a flight to LAX, wore a Rihanna for River Island onesie styled with a ‘G4Life’ beanie, Le Specs ‘Bowie’ shades and Balenciaga ‘Arena’ black sneakers.

I’m all for being comfortable when it come to in-flight attire, but I would never consider buying a onesie. Oversized babygro springs to mind.
