Rihanna In Marianna Senchina – Fenty Beauty by Rihanna x Sephora Spain Launch Party

As Rihanna continues to promote her Fenty Beauty by Rihanna x Sephora line, she was at the Spain launch party on Saturday (September 23) in Madrid.

Relying on the flouncy femininity of emerging Ukranian designer Marianna Senchina, RiRi wore a frock from the Spring 2018 collection.

Some of you will be relieved to see this was not another trapeze dress, but rather was imbued with a more playful, romantic side in the poet sleeves, bow-fastened bodice, and pouf skirt that she opted to wear without quite the original volume.

She styled the ensemble seamlessly with Olgana Paris custom pink ‘L’Attachante’ heels, Chopard jewels, and a Djula ruby ring.

Rihanna In Calvin Klein 205W39NYC – Sephora Hosts ‘Fenty Beauty By Rihanna’

After seeing Rihanna in Molly Goddard on Wednesday night, I was hopeful that the singer had turned a corner.

That came to a screeching halt when I saw her in Calvin Klein 205W39NYC at the ‘Fenty Beauty By Rihanna’ Paris launch party hosted by Sephora at the Jardin des Tuileries this evening (September 21) in Paris, France.

Yep, the trapeze-style dress is back with full force. I don’t hate it, but I do feel a bit deflated.

I wouldn’t have minded the runway colourway, and length – to be honest.

Hopefully, we’ll see Rihanna at her playful best soon.

Rihanna In Molly Goddard – ‘FENTY Beauty’ By Rihanna Harvey Nichols Launch

‘Fenty Beauty’ by Rihanna, which includes 40 different shades of foundation, giving it one of the most diverse colour ranges on the market, has already been a huge success, so Rihanna celebrated with a party at Harvey Nichols in London this evening (September 19).

Naughty-meets-nice as bad girl RiRi opted for the familiar tulle A-line dresses by Molly Goddard for her red carpet look.

The designer has based her brand on ‘girliness’, which this lilac dress imbues, but some might not be excited by the juxtaposition.

After a run of tent-style dresses, I was instantly charmed by the whimsical nature of this dress.

It’s great to see Rihanna having fun with fashion again.  You may remember her green Molly Goddard dress worn last year.

Chopard jewels and custom-made René Caovilla lavender snake sandals completed her look.

Rihanna In Rosie Assoulin – Out In New York

With her own version of a pink streak, Rihanna was seen in Dumbo, Brooklyn whilst out for dinner on Saturday (September 16).

Her street-style love of oversized proportions marches on with this Rosie Assoulin Resort 2016 bubblegum-pink jumpsuit.

The exaggeratedly wide-legged pants may have been plenty roomy, but ironically, the same cannot be said for the bandeau top as it appeared nearly uncomfortably tight.

A furry bag and a moody red lip completed the ensemble that needed just a bit more breathing room—despite its generous proportions.

Rihanna In Ralph & Russo Couture – 3rd Annual Diamond Ball Benefitting The Clara Lionel Foundation

Rihanna hosted her 3rd Annual Diamond Ball benefiting The Clara Lionel Foundation on Thursday (September 14) in New York City.

The singer donned another black custom made Ralph & Russo Couture gown, which had the sophistication of a tuxedo, mixed with the drama of a ball gown; plus a high-low hem to give the look a touch of Ri Ri flare.

Chopard jewels were of course in abundance, with the rest of her styling consisting of tights and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

The majority couldn’t get on board with her Cannes Ralph & Russo Couture look, so how does this one fare?

Rihanna In Y/Project – Out In New York

The Fenty Puma By Rihanna fashion show during New York Fashion Week was on Sunday (September 10), so Rihanna has been out and about in NYC making the rounds in her own head-turning way.

Her off-duty affinity for oversized menswear has not waned with her latest street-style looks from Y/Project’s Spring 2018 Menswear collection.

Wearing the boxy blazer over ripped jeans was a trend-forward way to rock the disparate pieces, with Olgana Paris ‘Celeste’ mink fur mule sandals ending it on a playful, very Ri Ri note.

Her second look featured her own version of a Canadian tuxedo with this all-denim approach. There was a lot of fabric happening between the gigantic shirt, long belt, and comically slouched trousers.

All that to say, the first look was by and far my favourite for its more polished sensibility, despite the distressed denim.

What about you?
